A fine medical centre with complete resources that did its best for my ailing father even if the fight had to take its inevitable conclusion.

Dr. Clare Reade from the Juravinski Cancer Centre is an excellent doctor. She is very respectful and humble. She spends time with us and gives us detailed answers to all of our questions. Also, our nurse, Danielle Jones is very attentive and goes into detail about whatever we ask. Not forgetting Collina Joanne, who always sends our reports by email. Also all of the other kind nurses who look after us, all deserve five stars.

My Mom.goes here to clinic C. She has been seen by Dr Schnarr and Dr Jimenez. Hands down thanks to Dr Jimenez for getting the cancer gone from my Mom! Absolutely great bedside manner and he actually takes the time to talk to us! Kudos to him for being a prime example of how every Dr should be!

Unfortunately the cancer treatment here is more about money then restoring your health. Chemo and radiation is not the only answer but actual health treatments to actually kill cancer cells doesn't make money. Do your research and I pray the doctors actually start to learn what cancer is and how to kill cancer stem cells and learn how to help the people. Learn from Dr. Thomas Lodi -Oasis of healing, he provides actual understanding how cancer starts and how to balance your cells and heal. Dr. Raymond Hilu - the Hilu institute they have actual healing treatments. My mother thought her oncologist was the best and she never got rid of her cancer and died. Her oncologist had no idea about proper nutrition and how not to feed cancer cells. That unfortunately is our health system model.

The cancer center security guards at entrance is a misnomer. Phil and Vince are the most helpful generous and caring people I have met. Their care and guidance for people is heart warming. Rob and Gayle Lelievr

Right from when you are greeted outside and inside. You feel welcomed.

My radiation team were the most kind, welcoming, friendly, knowledgeable and caring teammates, I have ever had!
I love them like family!
They will always be in my heart.

My father had tumours in his bladder, they were removed and he was given six BCG treatments. This is where the mess starts, he waited months for the first ones with almost no contact with the oncologist office and when they were done waited months again for word on tests and what not. Then we were bounced to another oncologist because the first one was a Kidney specialist and not a bladder specialist. Now the next oncologist decides that we need three more BCG treatments in three weeks after the first six did nothing and the cells still remain in his uretur. Now waiting as they set up appointments for first thing in the morning for mostly elderly people and the “new “ computer system doesn’t talk to the pharmacy to mix the meds. Like are you kidding me, know you have under staffed nurses trying to run a clinic with no meds and people waiting in scrubs for hours on end. I am honestly surprised that the cells have not spread due to the year and a half that we have been coming here and dealing with this. The nurses are great the system is a broken joke

My mother in law was faced with discrimination, rude comments and made to wait for over 49 mins while 21 persons were allowed to go before us. If your a POC or visible minority, avoid this place

I had the LOOP procedure done at the colposcopy clinic and those nurses were absolutely amazing! I didn't feel a thing and they were super friendly. Thanks!

Retail cancer centre. Smallest crowded workspace area that I have been in. It’s unionized so if you are new, you just get stepped on. I had the worse anxiety in this place!

Very happy with the care my dad has received. He was admitted as he developed sepsis and has cancer. They have been amazing

I was diagnosed with cancer in August 2020. The Doctors, Nurses, Radiation Therapists, Pharmacists and other staff at this Hospital and Cancer Clinic have been extremely kind, knowledgeable, compassionate and professional throughout this ordeal. I could not have had a better experience. A special thank you to Dr. Levine, Dr. Hodgson and Dr. Kim from the bottom of my heart.

DO NOT LEAVE YOUR LOVED ONE HERE. My sisters partner (21 years old) was diagnosed with a rare form of blood cancer that spread to his lungs. The oncologists were very vague about his condition. They did not inform us that he was terminal even when asked. They botched his lung biopsy which led to a tube inserted in his chest for over a month while the "hole healed". That means he could not come home for over a month. Well, he never got to come home. They gave him a choice between 2 treatments, and despite picking the second (which was less aggressive), ANOTHER oncologist pressured him to take the first option because they were "running out of time" even though they only had to wait 2 more days for the treatment he chose. The treatment this oncologist gave him unfortunately was way too aggressive for his body and he caught an infection in the hospital. They put on a ventilator even though he was very clear about not wanting to go on one and he died a week later. We are furious because he was not given the opportunity for an informed decision on his own LIFE. We are heartbroken and no words can describe the disappointment we feel. Diagnosed November 20th and passed away on December 23rd. He leaves behind a one year old daughter.

We haven't had a good experience with Juravinski cancer centre at all. One of my husband's oncologist schedules phone appointments with him and has never called him for any of them or they make the appointment, we drive the hour to get there only to be told "sorry this is a phone appointment. You need to go home and wait for the call" But they NEVER call. It's not only his Oncologist who has done this. He has other doctors there who have told him they are going to call him at a certain time and they never do. We have had a number of issues with Juravinski. To many to list and all of which were very suprising to us as we had only heard great things before my husband became a patient there. I will just say our experience with Juravinski Cancer Centre has not been good!

JCC is helping my boyfriend survive cancer after brain surgery, so I can't thank them enough. Despite the ongoing outbreak, there's been minimal waiting to get through screening, and appointments are swift and straightforward. The current lack of ride service makes things complicated, and nearby parking is obscenely expensive, but that's to be expected.

Had my first chemo treatment this week and can't say enough good things about the nurses in the chemo suite. They are so calm and and reassuring that the procedure becomes less daunting, even the IV was painless. A sincere thank you to their dedication and kindness.

My son in law has just started his chemo and radiation this week, he has had a large brain tumor removed back in June, I am so thankful for Juravinski Cancer Centre for being there for us. Very difficult during the current Covid crisis but the staff have been very helpful and understanding. Sometimes the wait is longer than expected but things happen in this type of setting to cause delays. Thank you so much for the exceptional care given to my family!

Knowledgeable, helpful and friendly all staff in this centre go beyond the norm to ensure your visit meets your needs while reducing stress as much as is possible. The place runs like a Swiss watch.

Top doctors there that know all about Cancer and what needs to be done about the cancer that you're infected with

Great facility with a great purpose. Giving it 3 stars because one of the staff apparently has a "corona" virus, but I didn't think drinking was allowed on shift. Might want to look into that.

I hate writing bad reviews but I am forced to do so in this situation. I can to the clinic E on level 2 on january 29 2020 for an app at 9: 45 am. I was 15 min early for the app. I was her to speak to my fathers specialist dr for chemotherapy. When I arrived to the clinic the lady seemed to have a chip on her shoulder right off the bat. She was cold and rude. When I told her the app was made for my dads family members so we can get a understanding of his cancer she said she needed a health care card. So I asked my dad for his card then she began to say it had to be the patients card not just any old card. I responded with this is my dad whom is the patient but the app like I said earlier is for the family. She then asked the regular question about if there was any changes to phone number and address. She then directed him to go fill a questioner on the computer even though my father just did this the other day. My dad did not want to come to this app as it was for pretty much me to ask the dr questions that can be hard to hear in his situation.the other respeptionist/nurse spoke out very loud and said you have to fill it out if you want to see the dr. My dad turned around at this point and said can I refuse as I did this yesterday and he was not going in to see the dr. She threw her arms up and said fine and was very short with us. We watched for about an hour a bunch of people go ahead of us to see the dr which arrived after us by the way. So I decided to go back up and stand behind the yellow line to ask the first receptions about the long wait. She first made me stand behind the yellow.line for 5 min then said I could come up. I then asked her when we would be able to speak to the dr and she then said to me theres still 1 person in front of me. Even though these people that were sitting in the waiting area came all after us. I then sat and waited another 30 min after she called the person in front of me to go in which arrived only 15 minute ago. When we went into the room she was super short and cold and rude. Not to sure why she treated us with such disrespect especially since we are only here to ask questions about my father's terminal cancer. I cant stress enough to the ladys at the front desk of clinic E that you work with sick people whom dont have long to live. You do not have the right nor should.uou take your personal problems out on your patients. Completely un professional and extremely upsetting to have two mean catty women be as rude and mean as they were yo us.it makes me so sick to know these two women in clinic e on january 29 2020 at 945 am are able to work with people so sick and can get away with this.it's so sad to see and I feel for the poor patients that are treated as such and had to speak out about this as it was so appalling to see these two desk women/nurses have jobs still.so sick.

One of the most arrogrant receiptionist I have ever spoke with, told me the patient was not a client of theirs, told me I had the name wrong. Finally gave up as she told me she does not have to deal with my harrasement. This woman does not know what harassement is. Then she calls me back saying she found the client, did I want the information. NO NO NO! Also the Juravinski clinic stock piled Tomafin so that there was a shortage, so that other pharmacies could not obtain the drug.

If it wasn't for Joel in the clinic a & b section plus getting a tea while waiting - I would have given a one star. Receptionists are rude when you call & claim to have never heard of my surgeon even though I had met her there two days prior. The parking situation is horrid and I couldn't walk after my surgery and they didn't have any way to easily make it from the parking lot to the hospital. I even called to ask for assistance and they said there is no one to help Also find it odd that two hospitals down the street from each other have the same name. Of course we had originally gone to the wrong one. Ugh.

Joel is super friendly and nice! And the coffee/tea while you wait was a very pleasant surprise! Way to turn a very angry patient happy again

My mother was over radiated by the staff along with 25 other women as she had cancer and needed brackey therapy. She died a short time after. We had no clue that she was being over radiated they had no clue, untill someone measured the hose that feeds the radiant pellets in to the body. It is supposed to be measured once a year but was not measured for several years and was to long. I have given up on trying to find answer's as the blame gets passed around from the manufacturer of the tube to the hospital then back agian. Also when you go for a cancer consultation everything looks new and clean and spacious it looked good i remember it made my mom feel good knowing that everything was new she even pointed out all the glass at the entrace to the hospital saying wow that probably cost an arm and a leg. Now skip ahead 4 months to when my mom wakes up after surgery from a radical historectomey (a female procedure). I have to laugh out loud as when she came too she thought she had been taken by helicopter to a different hospital in an emergency air lift as she could not believe she was in the same hospital. She woke up in the smallest dirtiest 1950s room with 4 men and a bi fold door on the bathroom. This is a closet door on the bathroom not just in her room in all the rooms on the 3rd and 4th floor. These floors and rooms are unacceptable as they are 50 years old small, moldy, filled with asbestos its ridiculous

To the whole staff at the hospital you guys should be ashamed of yourself as it is unsafe to have ANY patient or nurse in any of those rooms. You are aloud to REFUSE un safe work and these floors are 100% unsafe small and dirty.

Not perfect but excellent service. One of the best hospital with good and professional healthcare staffs starting from the volunteers to the specialists.

The staff that work in the pharmacy are SO RUDE and need an attitude adjustment. I recommend not taking your prescriptions here unless you want to be treated like complete trash.

Excerpt from "Excellent Care for All Act"
. Increasing the focus on quality, bringing patient satisfaction to the forefront and basing patient care decisions on the best scientific evidence available.
My family members care while in Emergency and ICU (cardiac) was without a doubt, some of the best and he was making progress; considerable progress!
He was then transferred to the Ward.
The difference is night and day and he deteriorates more each passing day.
He remains immobile due to his fractured hip.
On Wednesday at approximately 2: 00 am he fell out of his bed (according to ward staff).
We received no phone call, but rather walked into a sad, crying man later that morning.
Please note that there has been little to nil communication with any medical staff before or since then.
Points of importance which should send up red flags:
*Little to nil communication from doctors, medical team.
*Patients appear to deteriorate in terms of health and happiness.
*Seniors (or anyone) paying tax for well over 50 years should never be brought down to this level.
*Seniors are viable citizens of the community (worth their weight in gold).
*Horrific Ward staff at Juravinski (Mr.and Mrs. J would be beyond disappointed in their treatment of the elderly!)
"No one escapes aging and to all those nightmare staff: you too will be there one day!
It is people like you that make growing old such a frightening process!
I do not expect special treatment for my Dad but I do expect that he will be given every possible opportunity to get well and resume his role as a viable citizen.
