I had an amazing experience the other day with Todd, he cashed me out and was the nicest person. We had a lovely interaction about our holidays and I really do think the world needs more Todd’s. You rock Todd!

Had some old man with glasses that worked there literally standing beside me screaming at me " your bag sir" at the top of his lungs because I was wearing a backpack, even though I had my wallet in my hand and already had a basket full of freeze dried meals. So I simply ignored him, turned my headphones up and kept shopping while he screamed at me. Definitely won't be returning for anymore products as I don't appreciate being made to feel like a thief or being screamed at. Maybe have someone at the door monitoring for bags instead of waiting until someone is already shopping then screaming at them. Poor customer service.

Looking for the unique or different item, this may be the stop to find it. Their inventory changes pretty consistently so if you don't see it one week, come back the next. Prices are very reasonable. Lots of camping gear, tools, hardware items, paintball supplies and computer items, for example. But, there are tons of various items. They also have an equally good store in Cambridge called Cambridge Surplus on Eagle St. N.

A fat shaved head blonde guy was eating hot dog on picnic table when I left the store, and there was an empty bottle of windshield wiper fluid by my ebike when I got back outside that I didn’t see when I went inside. I have worried I’ve been poisoned with anti freeze recently, and wondered if he is one of the people who has been gang stalking me. If he is in security please screenshot his face for me. Maybe it was coincidence. Maybe the fluid was there already. But I don’t know. I write reviews all the places I shop so I can build a case against the people who have been gang stalking. And as for review, your store is great. I guess really what I’m asking, is did you get him in camera leaving the anti freeze there? By my black ebike?

Amazing staff I bought an airfryer but had no instructions I called the store the staff put me through with Scott amazing he did everything & guess what I had all the instructions plus a recipe book as well within 2 days will shop there again for sure

Excellent place to spend an hour or so. Inventory changes all the time, so you never know what bargains pop up.

Love love shopping here but the guy working in electronics was so so rude. And they follow u everywhere and stare at you. I'd rather shop at the most expensive store in the world and have a good shopping trip

Love the store but the new hire mahdia really needs to work on her people skills very rude and vicious with her words and demeanour.

The store employee stated that I couldn't keep my backpack with me and had to leave it on the dirty ground with the cashier.

I decided not to shop here. I'm not going to hand over an $800.00 Tumi backpack as I'm sure it would get stained from the debris on the floor.

Love this place. This is one of my favourite stores, but I will admit their selection is not the best.they have a better selection than the other stores of this chain, but for what I'm looking for, they seem to always be missing.

Still a great store, and I would recommend checking it out if you like good deals. They usually have a bit of everything!

It has some odd things, I bought a shower caddy and it had so many parts missing. Be careful before you buy. Cashier was very rude, not a hello or even a goodbye. Very bad Customer service.

Lots of stuff to choose from, but the service was garbage from the two younger folks that work at the air gun section.

Went up today and politely asked if he could give me a broad description of the guns on display, which he did while paying more attention to whatever he was sorting, then when asked to describe a particular gun, he rudely raises his voice and repeats what he already told me previously which was a broad description of the guns.

Like dude, I’m asking you to read me out the description of the gun, not your banking information….

Absolutely speechless. My experience happened to be at the spitfire emporium but it is under the same ownership as kw surplus. The staff is just absolutely amazing. I made 2 big purchases which they in fact gave unbelievable discounts on and I will forever be satisfied with my experience. Cathy was the upmost of help, I sometimes just go in to not even buy anything but just talk because she is just such an amazing person to talk to and share stories with. This not only goes for Cathy but the rest of the staff. I purchased a large scale model from the store and they helped me load it in safely and offered to secure it as well. The owner is just amazing. He came out to personally talk to me about Aviation and shared many intriguing stories that I will never forget. I think 5 stars is an understatement for the appreciation I have towards this store and staff. I just walked in as a customer and I was already treated like family. Thank you again for everything.

Brian's review from a month ago is spot on. I visited this store only two times and both times left disappointed to say the list. First time I bought a phone holder that appeared to be broken when I came home (somebody already returned it before and they just put it back on a shelf). When I came back to return the item, I was treated like a thief - I wore a backpack with a laptop and was asked to leave the backpack in an unsupervised location despite valuable belongings inside. There were women with large purses inside but I had to leave the bag to get to the counter where you return items. The second phone holder just broke in two weeks too. On top of it, when I asked for a washroom for my 5-year old son, the stuff refused to provide access in the most rude way. I understand that there are policies but you don't need treat customer like such poorly when enforcing these policies.

I was just in there the other day buying lots of things like we normally do. This time we thought why not buy a gingerbread house for the kids. We got it home kids were excited to put it together but we opened it and the smell was horrible, so my husband tasted it and it was disgusting. So we has an idea it might just be the gingerbread product let’s try the candy’s. Once again hard and terrible. So let’s just put it together we attempted to put it together but the icing was stale, hard. The items in the store are great but the food I would stay away please don’t waste your money.

A treasure trove of shopping delights for the bargain hunter awaits you here. I always find this is a GREAT place to do Christmas shopping, any time of year.for major gifts and stocking stuffers. Customer service is exceptional. I needed hiking cutlery which was temporarily out of stock, and received a phone call when it was in, a couple days later. Who does that anymore? ! I especially like the camping/hiking/72-hour-emergency-kit supplies.everything you need is here. Electronics are a great deal as well. Many departments to shop! Go!

Selection is good, but the staff are so rude its unreal. The people seem to go out of their way to be as rude and unfriendly as possible.

They are the rudest people ever I will never ever return nor will any of my family or friends will not return after the treatment I received

This is one of my favorite stores in KW! Great prices, great products and unbeatable staff! They generally care about there customers and will go to great lengths to accommodate your needs. They have found and ordered products for that no other company could find. If you need something you just can't seem to find anywhere, chances are you'll find it there!

This is a great little store, lots of deals for household and personal items. A large selection of camping items is the highlight for me. Employees are helpful and will go above and beyond! Highly recommended!

Terrible, literally got bullied for asking questions about where a certain product was. Also the Cashier was standing at the register by herself for some time and once I put my stuff down she tells me to take it off because she has to sanitize? For real? You can tell these workers hate their job just by looking at their facial expressions, but that does not give them the right to act and behave as poorly as they did.

Store is fine but most (not all) of the staff are not very happy or friendly, not sure where they find these people. Not impressed

I had an online order pickup at KW Surplus today and was very pleased with the great service I received from Cathy. Before picking up the order, she contacted me about a couple small things to do with the order and also checked on a few other things that I was thinking of ordering and called me back. I know she was busy, but she took care of all the questions I had and had the order ready quickly. Excellent service. Thanks

The older gentleman with the pony tail who works one of the front desks, needs to follow proper pandemic protocol! I was amazed to see this older gentleman not following safe distancing! He had no problem going through a line of customers, brushing his shoulders on people, no “excuse me”. I thought at first this was just an inconsiderate customer, until he walked through the wrong way of the line again and walked back to his till. This guy is a huge health risk

Eh. To me, its just a giant Dollarama. Like i would say 85% of the stuff is not surplus, but anything else. If your looking for paintball gear or airsoft gear, they have a pretty nice selection of those stuff. TL: DR: Not much surplus but other junk.

If you need an HDMI or Ethernet cord then come here! I bought a 25 footer Ethernet cable for dirt cheap

This place has everything! Crafting, camp gear, electronics, airsoft equipment, tools etc, and at good prices. It's a dangerous place to browse if you lack self control: P

I used to love this place coming here for years. Must be new management the place seems to be going Downhill fast. All the prices have gone up. We used to be able to shop and walk out with good deals.those days seem to be gone now when we walk out it's usually empty handed. As for the door greeter he could definitely use better manners. No need for a drill serjeant at the front door.

I have shopped at KW surplus for years I have been shopping there since I've been 10. I have built a lot of my home projects and designed around a lot of the materials that come from Kw surplus. I'm at the KW surplus location or at the Cambridge surplus location basically every single day. I basically know where everything is in the store to the point where people recognize me.customers recognize me and asked me where item locations are and after I tell them that I don't work at the store I proceeded to tell them where their item is.this is how much I know about and how often I visit Cambridge and KW surplus.it's unfortunate to see the decline of the store over the past 5 years. I remember walking into the store and searching for deals and treasure finds of random surplus needs such as random electronic components or devices small fittings for your electronic projects small little motors fasteners electrical supplies in general of almost name brand items.it is sad to see that kw surplus has stooped to the level of purchasing Chinese branded poor-quality instruments and passing them off as borderline high-end branded materials. The prices have gone up exponentially over the past year to year-and-a-half.this is sad as I used to be able to go into KW surplus and buy an item for dollar or dollar fifty and now that item is approximately $3 depending.ever since the passing of the electronics supervisor, the electronics department has also taken a big hit and is lacking in many areas. Another big issue is some of their cashiers, specifically the lady at the front with falling out white hair she's approximately 60,70 years of age and she's extremely rude.every single time I'm in there regardless if it's myself my parents or even friends who are checked out by her.they all say the same.she is rude nasty and generally unhappy. I'm surprised she's still working there with how rude she treats customers.just today I was in at KW surplus and wow was she ever rude to me she said nasty things to me she was snappy with me, her tone was negative, I tried making small talk with her and all I got back was attitude as if she didn't have time for me.with the rapid decline of surplus available and the rise of Chinese poor quality products infiltrating KW surplus along with the high prices and the rude staff it's.unfortunate to say that this establishment has fallen over the past few years and unfortunately I will continue to purchase from them because they are the only surplus retailer in the area. This being said, if I can get something on AliExpress or ebay cheaper I would rather wait a month then deal with the rude staff that this place has. This being said I still find many cool things at the store, and this is the one reason why you are not getting one star but two stars.

This is a very interesting store, its got a lot of different things and its very crowed. If you buy any sort of edible be sure to check the expiry or best before date, we bought a couple treats for the kids when we got home noticed they were all outdated so we did not eat them. I seen a sign behind the counter that says employee's are not allowed to have a drink not even water behind the counter if caught they will be sent home. Yikes that's horrible. The counter staff just seem to be putting in time no one is really friendly or helpful.the army supplies are very neat some of the stuff appears to be used or very old.

This is the best store! They have tons of great items at discounted prices. My favourite aisle is the scrapbook/crafting aisle. They always have amazing supplies at amazing prices. They also have baking, cooking, camping, electronics, hardware, decorations, cleaning supplies.the list goes on and on. Don't plan to "just grab one thing" because it never happens.

Awesome spot to look for stuff you may need but you don’t know it yet. Will be going on backcountry camping this summer and the stuff here are amazing. Now you wouldn’t find big brand names here but for the price, it’s a pretty good deal.

This is a place you can't go into and not leave without having bought something! All sorts of cool and unique finds in here, and some great everyday items that they have at low prices too. It's my go to when I need cheap but good quality tools and any sort of electronics cable ever imaginable!

Store is a bit junky and crowded in spots but it is amazing what one can find here. The staff is very knowledgable.

Really cool store. Has random stuff you always find yourself needing. Always end up spending like 10$+ there because theres always something you find there you need.
