The food is delicious and korean authentic. We ordered the Kimchi Juggae, Squid Bibimbap and Gimbap. The portions for each of these items were fair and the quality was excellent. Service was excellent too and this is based that each table has a buzzer system. The waiter/waitress working were very kind and helpful. They also provided extra side dishes which is always appreciated.
Only thing that could be improved is maybe seating? It’s kinda cold and stale inside, but that isn’t a big deal.
Maybe I was just super hungry that day, but at the time I thought the portion size for the hot stone pot was on the smaller size to what I had in the past. Otherwise the food-to-price wasn't outrageous, which is good! Will have to try other menu items to get a better understanding of how it stacks against other sister locations.
The food here is amazing. Taste has been consistent. I love their Kam Ja Tang especially. Our server today was very attentive to our needs. Would definitely recommend this place.
This is a family-run spot, based at the intersection of Kensington Market & Chinatown for years. For me, the go-to dish here is the spicy BBQ kalbi ribs, with their house secret sweet gochujang sauce (not that spicy), accompanied by their kimchi side dishes and jasmine rice. You would also do well to order the seafood pajeon pancake, and one of the bibimbap rice dishes in the hot stone bowl. Pro Tip: Bring cash if you want a little discount. Really nice people who run this community mainstay restaurant, unlike some of the newer flashier places, this is down home cooking that is not fussy, just really good! Use lots of napkins!
Overpriced Korean food. $25 post tax and tip for a Soft Tofu Stew. Side dishes that came with it were mediocre- potatoes not sweet enough, japchae undercooked, bland beansprouts/kimchi/cucumber. I much prefer the Korean restaurants near Christie.
I had the spicy fried rice cake and it was top tier delicious, service was amazing came to our table constantly to ask if we were doing fine. Definitely great for people who are trying Korean food for the first time!
Decor dated, but food was good! We intended to dine next door (Saigon Lotus) but is was closed for renovations Dec 24 & 25. We have been to other Ka Chi locations for good Korean food. This one has expanded menu. We enjoyed the table side BBQ Bulgogi, Korean Gimbob and stir fried rice cake with bulgogi. Service was friendly and quick.
Great hidden spot! The potato pancakes were absolutely delicious and perfectly crispy. The beef bulgogi was also tasty as well with the pork bone soup being the highlight of the meal. The owners are also kind and polite! Overall, good place to dine at with your friends.
Last time My friends and I went this restaurant, omg they are so friendly and the food was so tasty yummy! We had good service with smile:) I LOVE THIS RESTAURANT! Whenever we have a party, they provide great offer for us! Isn't it amazing? ! I recommend this place, Try it out:)
Had the best Jajamyun here! The service was really great, food arrived quickly, side dishes were delicious and fresh. Highly recommend - will definitely be coming back. One of the best Korean spots I’ve been to in Toronto!
Avoid by all means! The Korean owner was rude, uneducated and deceitful. The dish is subpar and overpriced. And the bill was calculated wrong without an apology. They don't care about your business.
The kimchi fried rice was delicious, not oily at all and the portion size was worth the price. The servers were lovely and friendly. The place itself is clean (including the washroom).
