Ka Chi on Bloor West Village

I have been a fan of Ka Chi for some time so when I saw they opened one in my local area, I was excited to try it. I was quite disappointed.

While the restaurant itself is nice and quaint and the staff are friendly, I found the food at this location to be subpar to others. We ordered the bibimbap and the tteokbokki.

I unfortunately won't be coming back.

I was celebrating my friends birthday at this restaurant tonight and there was an hour left to close and the owner came and rudely kicked us out claiming we were noisy when we were just laughing and having a good time. After paying the bill he had the audacity to question us on why we did not tip. The two servers that we had were very nice, but unfortunately because of the owner’s disrespectful attitude we will not be coming back or recommending this place to anyone.

I had a really great experience and the food was really delicious. I went in on a cold day, and got the veg ramen. It was so delicious and tasty and hit the spot right. They also gave some pickled cucumbers and cabbage and a few other things on the side which was really good too. And an extra bowl of rice too. For what I paid, it was excellent value and the food and service was really awesome too. I would definitely go again

Stumbled in today during a walk in bloor-west village. We were impressed from the first interaction with one of their lovely team members and it was up from there. Easy review to write: staff great, attitude great, food great.

Not the place to go if you have kids. Our 1 year old wasn’t crying but was considered loud and asked to keep her quiet or leave. We left.

They did have a sign at the door.

Great food, friendly and attentive staff that do all they can to ensure a great experience, and a great atmosphere! Highly recommend!

The beef bulgogi was very oily. Very small pieces of bone and gristle in the dish. Very disappointed.

The atmosphere and service are excellent, one minus, a lot of tofu cheese is added to ramen.

Usually great food, and very friendly staff. But tonight they served me a clearly off pork bulgogi for takeaway (the smell upon opening was horrendous). Francisco was apologetic but unwilling to provide a refund because he “didn’t know how”. Seafood pancake was delicious as always, but overall experience disappointing and unfortunately enough to stop me from returning.

Food was very good and lovely staff. The meals were a little salty but maybe I’m not used to it! Portions are big

The food is meh, the portions are appalling. And the owner growled at me when I asked him where the restroom was. The whole experience was definitely not worth even a quarter of what we paid, so this is definitely the last time we are going there.

The music was good though. Maybe they should make a playlist and sell it, but nothing else is worth my money.

Lovely restaurant the food was great and the owner even came by and asked if we wanted to watch the game and turned on some TVs for us. Felt really welcomed

Amazing Korean food! Reasonably priced. Super cozy inside with nice artwork and candles, loads of paintings. Would recommend!

I would give this zero stars if I could. The food was nice, and the atmosphere of the restaurant is relaxing. However, the owner is terrible! He shouted at us just because of the tip. We already said sorry and that we would give an extra, but he was still shouting at us until we left the premises.

Great food, music and service. Owner came out to make sure we were comfortable and turned on TVs so we could watch multiple playoff games.

I visited Ka Chi Korean restaurant, food and service I do highly recommended. My favorite dish was Bul Go Gi. I love the location and restaurant is very clean and has air condition.

Had a spontaneous decision and went in.
Didn't seem fancy from outside, but inside was goooood. I had pork bone soup. It is not the traditional style of the soup you get in Korea, but I was pleasantly surprised with the taste. More bean sprout, please!
Bulgogi was nice, and soonduboo (soft tofu stew) was good, too. Overall, satisfied!

Spectacular. Food is delicious. Best Korean pancake I've ever had. Dumplings fresh. Service is top notch. Owner is very kind and friendly. Highly recommended.

We’ve dined here many times. Absolutely fantastic Korean food, 10/10 service every single time, *never* a bad or even 8/10 experience. Couple of tiny, honest mistakes in all these visits, they were both fixed immediately, with a smile and an apology. Come here! Everyone from the kitchen, to the servers, are genuinely trying to make your meal great, and you can feel that honest care and hospitality.

We need more restaurants like this.

We went there last night on the chances of getting into a restaurant on Valentine's day without a reservation. My wife and I have been there several times before and we've always had a good experience - attentive servers, the food relatively tasty and fresh. However on Valentines day, we did manage to get a seat (the place was packed) and proceeded to wait and wait and wait for a server to come and take our order. While waiting we noticed there were only two servers for the entire packed restaurant. Things just went down from there. A pitcher of water was brought but no glasses, the table next to us didn't get cleaned up for at least half an hour, the food that was finally brought was wrong and had to be sent back. No condiments had been laid out which is always done there and in any Korean restaurant, I imagine. All the owner could do was give a lame apology and a promise to give us a beer on the house next time. We don't drink beer and there sadly won't be a next time.

Amazing food, stellar service and a really nice-looking cozy place. Servers were always on the lookout and extremely nice. For the quality and quantity of food we ate, the price was adequate if not lower than we expected. Will definitely go back!
