Has some of the best food in town, cooked, prepared, and crafted with love, you can taste it! Service is friendly and the ambience is very nice as well. 5/5
This underrated restaurant is so wonderful always, especially for authentic Persian food! They have huge portion sizes and the food is always clean and fresh. Everything is cooked from scratch with fresh ingredients. Everyone who works here is so friendly and kind. Everything tastes incredible, consistently. I am never disappointed at the quality of the food and the rich tastes at this restaurant. This most recent time we ordered ghormeh sabzi and koobideh kabob to be delivered, and they added in shirazi salad and fries as extra surprises in our delivery meal. It was such a wonderful feast today. We really appreciated the large portion sizes and the food was delivered warm/hot. Everything was just perfect, and packed perfectly with such care. A wonderful place to eat, whether dine in or take out or delivery. I definitely recommend this restaurant to anyone who wants to try Persian food, and Persian people definitely love it too so you know it's authentic and delicious. I will definitely be eating here again. Thank you so much!
We went there recently. We ordered Vaziri kabob and Shirazi Salad. They both came in big portions and tasted good. They gave us free fries, yogurt and at the end tea, which was really nice. Staffs were really polite.
The reception is wonderful, the food is fresh and you can feel the taste of homemade food. I was kindly presented with a wonderful tea and biscuits. Congratulations on the great food and excellent customer service
The food here is very generous, and the price is low comparing to other restaurants in the plaza. The atmosphere was great and the service was amazing. Would totally recommend this place for gathering of friends.
The beef wrap, chicken wrap and soltani kabob we ordered was insipid, didn't feel any taste. Furthermore they charged me $4.50 for couple bottles of drinking water where you can buy a whole case of 24 bottles for $1.99. I do not recommend this place.
Food was delicious. Portion was reasonable. We were a big group of 35. Service was very good and Mr Moshir (the owner) was very welcoming. I recommend it 100%
Kabob Hut serves the best Persian cuisine in KW. Koobideh and Barg are my favorites here and they serve together with rice and fries. Staffs are very kind and they usually bring tea and sugar cube as a desert which is perfectly match with the entrée foods.
I want to thank you kabob hut for helping us to host our gathering with friends in restaurants. Food was great as always. Bread was fresh. I chose chicken leg kabob, it was very well cooked and marinated. They changed their arrangement and we could fit 40 people perfectly. Everyone was happy to choose this place! We will definitely arrange more gatherings there!
Very kind staff, good portions, and also they're doing a ~15 year anniversary discount (which is 25% off) - got this discount on Jan 28th so I don't know how it'll last. The grilled tomato wasn't burnt and the rice wasn't too oily (which seems to be the shortcoming of many other Kabob places in KW region, but not this one). They added three seasoning containers / packets, when some other places only give you one container of garlic sauce and that's it, which I thought was a nice addition
The food blew me away, this is the best Persian cuisine I've ever had. The service was great too, everyone there is friendly and welcoming, great ambiance. Can't wait to go back!
My wife and I visited kabob hut today, we moved to cambridge 2 years ago we have been looking for an authentic PERSIAN kabob place, we have tried a few in the TRI-CITY and none compared to this place we used to drive to yonge & Steeles in north York the owner is extremely friendly and makes sure you get the best quality of food and service this is how you keep your quality consistent! We are truly happy to have found a place close to home!
The owner is so kind and nice and friendly. As soon as we went inside. He was starting to talk to me & my daughter. I felt like I was at home. The food was great both quality and quantity.
We went there yesterday, the management has changed, food is absolutely awful, I will no longer go here, they used to have the best kebabs, no longer, very sad
Tried Chicken Biriyani and Kobideh. We just loved the taste and went back again after 2days before leaving Waterloo. Biriyani is slightly bland but they provide spices to make it spicy as per your taste buds. Kobideh was something that we loved
Stay away from the Chicken Biryani. It was basically all rice, the chicken was kind of dry, and it definitely was not worth the price which ended up being around $17-18. I will say that the rice tasted pretty good and was cooked well. Other than that, my experience was kind of disappointing.
We get food from Kabob Hut every now and then. The food is tasty and the staff are extremely friendly. I guess Mansour is the guy who has helped us a lot there. He is very friendly, professional, and super nice. I highly recommend this place.
Had a lamb shank. It was a huge portion. Very tender and tasty. The rice was enough for 2 people. Rice was a little too oily for me but it tasted good. My friend had Kebob and it was also fantastic. The French fries are really awesome. This is a hidden gem in Waterloo.
This place offers nice Persian food. The kabobs are flavourful, juicy, and well cooked. It is well priced for the portion size. The food is made fresh to order. I must deduct a star though since some of the non-kabob dishes are not that good. There is a nice casual ambiance with a bathroom available.
They have the best food! You can get a big variety of dishes for really low prices. They also deliver, which means you don't even need to go out or wait around on hold any longer than necessary when your stomach starts rumbling hard at home after work has been rough all day long without much nutrients intake but just want something quick before bedtime rolls in - then order from these guys because their service will make sure that not one single minute goes by until delivery arrives right outside
I have been eating at Kabob Hut for over 10 years, since I was a student in high school. The owner and the cook are very friendly and they always provide me with amazing service and excellent food. I look forward to eating there, and hope they bring back their more extended menu once they are busy again. Miss there butter chicken and biryani.
I tried the Barg Kabob and the beef was so good. The serving was filling and it was very aromatic too. They even gave me 10% off with my LSIDiscounts app. The app is free to download and register too.
We ordered via UberEats and we made a mistake on our order. Once we called the restaurant, they were very accommodating and listened to us well. Thank you for listening and the delicious food!
I've been there multiple times because I really wanted to like this place. It's simply not possible: the food is made with cheap ingredients and the kabobs are dangerously uncooked. Hot meal is served in styrofoam containers and the gluten-free options not gluten-free as advertised.
One of the best restaurants I have ever tried in Waterloo. What I love about them is that the taste of the food never change, it is always as good as usual. The owner is so nice as well, and generous.
Went there in 2018 to drop our niece for university, popped in the hut, first very clean and the customer service were great.ordered a few variety, the chicken briani is the best briani i ever had in my life, had a vegetarian dish made with eggplant, absolutely delicious, had a pita also, great.since then i ever wanted to go there again for the famous briani, even told my iranian colleaugues at work, decided to go there in summertime, covid -19 has put everything on hold. Oct 2020 still want to go for the world famous briani, hopefully the chef is still there.and the quality and consistency is the same or even better.dying to go back.i have market your famous briani so much.hmmm THE BEST BRIANI OF MY LIFE.
This place is a disaster. Ordered two kabobs. One of them was the Burg kabob. It was $30.9 small piece of beef and a lot of rice with no salads, garlic sauce was extra 50 cents. The kabob didn’thave any special tests. Another one was Joojeh kabob and the same quality, no special test. Shiraji salad was $8 and a small round box of chopped cucumber and tomato. Total was $63. Absolutely ridiculous! If you spend this in Arabisque or Chopan Kabob, you would have more than twice what these guys offered and the taste is far far far better. First and last time in this place.
I picked up my order yesterday and the man who helped me was not either wearing a mask or having gloves. It seems that those people may not care about Covid-19 and all posted strict instructions provided by the Ministry of Health.
I have been going to this place for over 6 years. Achieving consistent food quality is one of the toughest challenges for any operation, kabob Hut's food quality has been consistently great over this entire period. As a Persian cuisine lover, I can confirm that this is the best Persian restaurant in KW area so far. The place is always clean and the food is always fresh. Special thanks to Mansour who always ensures that customer satisfaction is achieved. On a side note: please bring your daily oriental specials back, that was delicious!
I got two chicken skewers with rice through Uber eats. Firstly this order is way overpriced to add a skewer it was like $12 which made my order $44 and I was not satisfied with the food. The chicken was very hard to cut, difficult to chew and didn't taste as well as I thought it would. It seemed as if the chicken was made a day or more before hand then microwaved the day I ordered. And now hours after eating the food my stomach hurts. Thank you, you just lost your most frequent customer.
It’s pretty expensive for what I would consider “fast-ish” food. However, the portions are HUGE and it is insanely delicious. I would highly recommend going here.
I love eating at Kabob Hut. Not being an Iranian myself, but havjng spent some time there studying I was missing a restaurant with good Persian food. The Menu is ptrtty basic, but the food is excellent. Just the right amount of seasoning, and the stuff very patiently let me practice my farsi with them
Great food, generous portion sizes and the friendly service I have ever seen in a restaurant!
As a regular customer, one day I came for lunch with my friends even though I had brought food from home and was not planning on buying anyting from the restaurant. Whereas in some restaurants they would kick you out for bringing in outside food, the owner saw that I didn't buy anything and brought me a complimentary bowl of fries. This is the type of service that ensures that I'll never stop coming here to eat!
Perfect Koobideh. I didn't expect it outside Iran. The only way it could get more delicious was with Tarom rice, which I guess can only be found in Iran.
The food is pretty good but the prices are way way too much for a restaurant with no service and no atmosphere. Come on $25 for a Soltani? In a takeout place! Another thing they should add persian apptetisers and soups (ash).
