Staff accused me of stealing even after I showed them the receipt from the other Chinese market I went to. Will never give them my business again.

Closes wayyyy too early compared to competitors like Lucky Moose and Hua Sheng which are very close by and in the same area. I live right beside here and pass by nearly everyday, I can tell you that you have way more paying customers lining up at 7: 30PM running in for last minute shopping than you do at 9am when it’s quiet. Better to open later to close later in the evening after dinner rush. Staff is very rude if you ask them a question they will not even acknowledge your existence. So much produce is moldy and I think they deliberately cut the mold off of ginger before repackaging it. That’s why I stopped coming here after many years of loyalty and I go to the competitors now even though they are a few dollars more!

So fire too its always the chinese supermarkets like you can't beat them cause they're better.been going there since i was a fetus and it's great

Asian Grocery store with a lots of choices. Things are generally cheaper, though not always the freshest.

For many years I buy the fruits in this market, they have good prices and the products have very good quality, I have no complaints I also buy the fish and it has good quality and a good price, the pork and beef are very good

Cheapest fruit and veg in the city! I buy cucumber in bulk and pickle them. I will say the berries do not last more than a day once you bring them home, after being in the sun all day. But where else are you get two punntets of blueberries for a dollar! The staff are practical and efficient, being polite is not their priority but this doesn't stop me being a regular shopper.

Great Asian market for fruits/veggies, traditional Chinese ingredients etc, you name it, they got it. Prices are decent and they are always fully stocked in everything.
It’s a large and busy location (especially on the weekend) and as true to an Asian market as you can get in Toronto. It’s not a place for everyone as it can be intimidating and feel not as “nice” or aesthetically pleasing as grocery stores like Metro/Loblaws, but that’s the charm of shopping in Chinatown.

The products are of low standards and the place is not clean. The traditional supermarket is not up to average standards of Torontonians. The price, though, is among the lowest in the city. Cash payment is requested in half of the cashiers. Paid parking is available in vicinity. Visit here if you look for a super economy purchasing.

Good news first, this place has crazy, fresh, amazing variety of produce at great prices. The big stores definitely can't compete in that department but it seriously needs a makeover. Tough to do but necessary.

Staff isn't very talkative but the store is a great place for fresh veggies and fruit and has a huge supply of flavorings, sauces, noodles and meats at decent prices. It's between Lucky Moose and here for Asian supermarket bragging rights, but this wins for space and produce. Can't go wrong with either

Amazing deals - very fast cashiers. Line might be long, it will move fast. And line up rules are like Mad Max - fend for yourself.

Dtaff speaks Chinese moslty so ask other customers for help, someone in the store will help you.

This is the place where the veggies are not the most "pretty" but the best prices. Use the veggies right away!

No flyers. They jus have deals - day to day depending on the stock that gets delivered.

If you go around 5-6pm they put bags out 1.00 (end of the line veggies) I will cook them all that same day.

Their prices is a bit cheaper than the other Chinese supermarket. I gave it 3 stars cause the insides of it is dirty and they don’t give you time to browse around if your indecisive of a particular item. Some of the employees will come up to you and ask in Chinese are you buying anything? That provoke anxiety and nervousness. I can understand if it’s like 30mins, but 5mins really?

Great Fresh food and variety! I travel with my service dog and even though it looks crowded it flows nicely.

Diverse food, especially Asian vegetables, foods and spices. Apart from Chinese brands, I have found many Vietnamese and Korean foods here.
This is a Chinese supermarket so only about 50% of staff know English. But they're friendly.
A pity is the late opening hours (9: 00 am) and early closing. Why not open an hour earlier (8: 00 am) and close a little later?:)

Shop for vegetables and other groceries at reasonable prices. It is bit crowded and less spacious. Smells bad if you can stand the smlee of fish and meat

This place has many cheap foods, but if you pay attention to the cashier, you will see some of them have a freestyle checkout manner. You will be charged more expensive than you expected.

The produce is mostly fresh however the cashier was rude and bruised my fruits after I rejected her when she asked me to do HER JOB of putting back the produce ON HER LANE.

However, another worker (in produce) was diligent in answering my questions.

TRICKY BUSINESS! I bought this cookies with the price tag on it for $11.99 and didn't realized until I got home they charged me for $15.59. The next day I bring it back to the store with the receipt to ask for the difference. After finding difficulties to seek assistance from someone that speaks English in there, they say the price on cashier applies and there's nothing I can do about it.

THAT'S NOT HOW TO RUN AN HONEST BUSINESS! Totally disappointed.

This place is great. Low prices. Good quality.

Asking questions can be dicey. The staff are universally poor at English.

The quality is good, but be careful. I get grapefruit, avocado, spinach and other veggies. All good. But strawberries or raspberries need to be used quickly.

The back does smell fishy, but I purchase meat here. Including chicken.

This is a good store.

Great place in Chinatown to go and buy fresh produce. You can get some really solid deals here if you know how to shop. Anything that seems it is about to spoil, avoid it. Otherwise their other produce is very fresh due to high turnover and very reasonably priced. Recommend here if you need any type of asian ingredients for a meal - it will have all the spices and sauces and ingredients. Good variety of produce and meats.

Their fruits and vegetables are not fresh. The cashier and other people working there does not understand or speak English so very difficult to communicate.

Not a bad choice, well after shopping in some other stores in China town I found this store to be better in prices, products and services,
I call it the best place to get fresh fish, fruits and vegetables.

If you want good tasting fish go here. Good selections of teas, all kind of green teas and more. Staffs are ok.

Some good prices. Not sure about their debit card policy though. Pretty sure you can't legally charge people based on a minimum purchase using a debit card.

Clean, be prepared to wait in line. The selection and price is at least 20% or more less in price than the regular supermarkets.

Good customer service, very helpful in helping me find the ingredients I needed. Good prices, fresh fruits and always with interesting prices! I'll definitely come back to fill up my fridge with fresh fruits and vegetables!

Cheapest vegetables in GTA here. I get great organic berries and local Canadian produce here. Unbelievable prices

Typical Chinatown supermarket.bit dirty, don't expect any smiles, prices are lower than the big modern places but getting expensive as the rents climb and kill the competition

Generally this place is insanity, but both the selection and prices of food make it absolutely worth it. After shopping at regular big-box grocery stores, you'll be blown away by the deals you'll find on everything from avocados to cauliflower to oranges to tofu, as well as variety: many types of grapes, greens, peppers, fresh herbs. If you peruse the aisles of jars and spices as well, you'll almost certainly come out with some new goodies to take home and try. I do this every time!

Holy cow, these prices are outta this world! I can't believe there's still a supermarket in Toronto that is willing to charge more than fair prices for groceries. Love em

Fruits and vegetables are not fresh! The exotic fruits here are super expensive. The floors are dirty as heck, there are leaks and a weird smell in the store. The check out queue is confusing.

There are two main markets in Chinatown, Kai Wei is better and lower priced. So lets put it this way if u want to find asian items that no place else in a smaller metropolitan would have.you need to go their. I bought items that I would pay a fortune for online.
