Food is good. But the quantity they serve is so less. So the first time I ordered beef roast through Uber. The quantity I received was so less. I never complaint at that moment. Later today I ordered the same. N even mentioned them about the less quantity they served previously. They did not even care to correct it. N moreover they served even less. So irresponsible. So if you plan to order it on uber or any such platform. Watch out for the quantity they serve.

Yesterday I happened to visit Kairali restaurant to have a combo with sardine fry with my husband. The server served a single plate of sardine fry and told that the other plate will be ready in few minutes. I waited for more than 15 minutes meanwhile I repeatedly asked for the order and I could face a complete ignorance from three servers who were standing near the reception desk. I wonder if they have any issue with late service could have mentioned when i asked twice because till then i already finish my meal. Felt really disappointed because I understand Tamil and Malayalam languages and could hear what there conversation were when i asked for the order. I then cancelled the order for the fish fry and then the server came asking me whether i need a parcel to takeout which was a meaningless version to be put forward. Really disappointed with the service.

Went for Dinner today, good vibe good food, Our host Anagha was very pleasant and helpful…. Highly recommend

I am not sure about other foods but lunch meals and fish fries especially sardine fry and meals combo is my favourite and never disappointed me. I totally recommend that combo

Was taken to this small unique restaurant serving food from Kerala, called KAIRALI, in Scarborough. Family run restaurant, the owner was so helpful in guiding us to what food we should eat. The ambience is great. We tried their very thali, a kind of a dal, rice, roti and pickles along with a green vegetable, a beet root chutney and topped with Payesam. (Very tasty sweet dish). Tried their Appam, (a kind of roti make from rice). I have had better and softer Appams so that was a disappointment. But top marks for taste. Definitely a place to explore more dishes from time to time.

Visited Kairali again. A good place is hard to resist. The same great food but they have worked on their presentation and they have a band new Menu! Wow!

I bought 2 Singapore noodles. Usually the portion is enough for 2 people. When i came back home i opened the box to find out, it wasn't even enough for one. I called right away. The girl that's always there answered the phone. She is blaming on the chef. She said the chef was one who made and put in the box. She is telling me this is the regular size. Which is not. They are cost cutting. We should get for what we paid. Dont rip off your customers. Your reception hangup on me, when i called back.

Very very worst service by the staffs. We went there by 10 PM as the restaurant closes by 12AM. There were lot of places but they said it’s fully booked and asked me to give my name and phone number. I gave those details and was waiting for them to call me.suddenly a their own language speaking family came and they gave a table to them without asking them to wait. But before them I came in and they dint give me a table. I was very patiently waiting for our table. Suddenly a staff came and said please leave the place and I will call you. She informed me the waiting time as 30 mins. She asked me to leave when I have just 5 mins of my waiting time. This is because one more own language people came in. I said I waited for 25mins and I can get the table in 5 mins. But she was constantly asking us to leave the place. Then we left the place with hunger and was searching any other restaurants are open. But no luck. She then called me at 11: 30 PM. Just imagine when it’s going to be closing time what they can serve me? I will never visit this place again…

I loved food here. Good in taste and quality. Quantity is enough too. Atmosphere, hygiene and improvement in service can be done though.

Overall okay good for the cost. Has good vibe though a bit olden setup. Quantity could have been more.

This place doesn't even deserve 1star. Me and my friend went to this place last night, such a dirty place. Not clean at all. Chicken bone was there just under the table. We ordered biriyani, 2 porotta and fish curry. We got biriyani after 25 minutes and porotta and fish curry after 45 minutes. Within that time we shared biriyani and finished our meal. Just after we gave our order we requested them to change into appam instead of porotta, but they said they already placed the order. So they can't change it. Then we had to wait almost 50 minutes for this porotta. The girl who works in restaurant shows too much attitude as if we are having food there for free. I have ordered food through door dash before. But if I knew this restaurant is like this I would have never done. And for sure, will never ever take a chance here again. The best part is handwashing sink is inside the toilet where toilet bowl is there. And you are either using toilet tissue or the drier close to bowl to dry your hand. Or you might be expected to carry towel. Such a gross experience ever.
If the owner is reading this review it would be great if you take care atleast restaurant hygiene (customer service is worst ever, if you improve good for you). Otherwise food inspection is on the way.

Woow! Wonderful experience delicious food, ambience is so cool, customer service was professional. Overall good.

Extraordinary spot to have some delicious food varieties. They have an immense assortment of food sources. Their Puttu and nadan fish curry was scrumptious. The fragrance from their nadan fish curry make our mouth watering and that smell shows out the tremendous assortment of Indian flavors.

Worst Kerala Biriyani ever had from GTA. It doesn't even taste like Biriyani, no flavour at all. Quantity of chicken was so less.
And the washroom was so dirty too.

Never recommended this place to anyone.

The food at Kairali is exceptional! I love the service at the place. Especially Anagha was so friendly with the guests and always takes care to offer the best quality! I highly recommend this place.

Food was great. Service was awful. Stood in the store for 20 minutes without any service. Was not asked if I was ordering or picking up food. My food that I had order was ready for pick up upon arrival but the waiters, who were not busy did not greet me at all.

Went for Saturday lunch, had the goat curry, fish biryani, and a chicken curry. All amazing, the goat and chicken were mind blowingly tender. Decent prices, staff was friendly, and the place was clean.

There food is amazing. I was craving for food from Kerala and after having their food I was more than satisfied. Would highly recommend the place to everyone.

Strange and unpleasant tastes. Ordered the veg combo at lunch. I have had vegi thali many times elsewhere and enjoyed. Not here.

So far I like Kairali restaurant. Especially their Kerala foods. I had prawns Biriyani couple of times, prawns were very fresh and biriyani was amazing. Last time I ordered 2 Puttu, chilli chicken, porotta, Kallumakkaya and Soupof the day. Those were satisfactory. We ordered kerala style tea, but we didn't like it. Food wise I feel Kairali is the best kerala restaurant around Scarborough. But beware of the waiting time. Restaurant ambiance is also not up to the mark. I don't usually order online from Kairali because of the longer waiting time plus delivery charges.

I visited there at 8pm and asked for one Biriyani and they told me they take 30minutes to prepare that. That's why I was unable to have their food. I don't know why they take these much time to prepare a food.

Food quality and customer service was atrocious. The lady at the reception (with a black coat) was unprofessional, extremely rude and her attitude was disgusting. I wouldn't recommend this restaurant to anyone.

I think the only kerala based restaurant that have enough space for dine in. But, the waiting time is bit high. And also, many food items doesnt have much quality.

The best Indian restaurant in the GTA. Good food, affordable and vegan friendly! (I ordered chilli soy meat masala and paratha and it was bomb)

Had ordered Onasadhya from Kairali. We got the food on time as well as the quantity was also good. Moreover, it was having authentic Onasadhya feel and taste. Thank you.

Such a waste of time, there is not enough staff and service is really poor, restaurant is very unclean and poorly maintained. Server was using the ordering machine and at the same time serving without gloves. And also touching the food with his hands. They did not follow any covid rules. They didn’t even sanitize the tables after every guest. We ordered kairali chicken, coffee and masala dosai. They took nearly an hour for just the coffee and finally we cancelled the rest of the order. This place need proper management and enough staff. They don’t practice social distancing and not enough space between tables where guests are being seated. No Covid rules were followed. Very disappointed and not recommending at all. Please don’t go here and waste your time.

Friendly staff, but patio is run down with cracked paving stones, no light overhead and dirtans garbage on the ground (phonebook and debris). Food was ok but Naan came cold.

The service and food is average. This is the only decent size kerala restaurant in Scarborough that can accommodate dine in option. Ample parking at the back too.

I use to like this place, have always been ordering food for past 6 months. But today we ordered 1 full chicken tandoori and to my surprise there was not a single leg piece or breast piece in the box.
It was 3 thigh pieces and 4 other random pieces put together in a box. Very very upsetting. I am genuinely surprised why would you do that?

Such a pathetic place, we went there like we could sit there have some food together, I went to the toilet and it was disgusting, my wife said women's toilet was ok, we cancelled our dine in and took take away, food was ok, but I was having this feeling of that toilet, how they managed. In conclusion I might choose someplace else instead of going to this place, because I was wondering how thier kitchen would be!

Food was really good but their Masala Tea was below average.

I recently ordered Bucket Beef Biriyani using Pumpkinkart App. The quantity was really disappointing. The size of the bucket is smaller than a coffee cup. What it shown in the ad and what I received was extremely different. Better I should order 1 or 2 beef biriyani separately. I recommend to change the name from bucket to Cup beef biriyani.

Ordered Banana leaf pomfret today OMG the fish was hard could not even eat it not fleshy at all we customers like to give business to restaurant since they are not doing well in this pandemic however they do what they want they just like to rip of customers.we won't be coming anymore to this restaurant.

I never ever eat this type of worst biriyani in Toronto if chef don't know how to prepare all kind of biriyanis we will come and teach.and all of the other items are so good

If you are looking for South Indian food I would highly recommend this place. I tried prawn masala, fish fried in banana leaf, mussels fry, puttu and appum. Giving 4 stars because the washrooms are not clean and well maintained.

Mutton sukkha and mutton biryani is really awesome! Tried their kingfish curry tasted great too. Good customer service by owner himself! Will visit again!

I visited this place a couple of times and the food quality and service were consistently good. I have only tried their lunch buffet (weekdays only).
The owners and the chef have the same buffet and that I believe is a good way to self-assess the quality.
They have an elaborate spread consisting of salads, soups, banana chips, lots of chutneys, starters, Kerala rice, Parotta, 3 non-veg curries, 2 veg curries incl sambar, 2 upperis/dry veg sides, non-veg biriyani, jeera rice and a payasam to finish off.
Would definitely recommend this place for getting a bite off of God's Own Country.

Very time you try to place a phone order, somethings always wrong with their phone. Its either no one answers or the line doesn't go through. You have to constantly redial about 10x in order for someone to pick up the phone. Aside from that, their butter chicken is a must try!

Cozy atmosphere and courteous staff make this place comfortable. Their food is good, but the washroom needs to be maintained a bit better.

I never tasted the appam because i saw how it was made.
The appam was prepared by the girl who serves the food. She went around serving food indoor and outdoor, opening, closing door and finally as I was watching her she took the appam/dosa using the same hands/bare hands without washing.

When u see the way the food is handled it is unacceptable.

It was made in a corner outside the kitchen so i was able to see.

My sister had ordered other stuff and she liked the taste. Unfortunate for me I came back hungry.

The elderly person later told her to use a a proper utensil to take the appam off the tava.

Busy place. Friendly owner. But.nothing comparea to the hands that touches the door touching your cooked food.

Asked for beef fry and got beef roast. Don't think the people know what's the difference between both. Rice is in a curry bowl which is not at all worth the price and quantity is too small, Had to wait forever for the food. Won't recommend to anyone especially any south indians.

Kairali is one of the best south Indian restaurant in Scarborough every item is unique and now with skip the dish u can enjoy at home especially the crab curry dirty your fingers no problem

One of the best tasting buffets in Toronto. Loved all the dishes that was laid out and excellent variety. Looks like I might become a regular at the restaurant!

Thalaserri Biriyani and Pomfret Pollichadu were mesmerizing. Kerala Porotta and Nadan Beef fry - not so much.

Amazing food. I bought the shrimp biriyani, i will be trying the king fish biriyani next time. They give a lot of food and the prices are reasonable!

The service is alrght.

Foods and service are good. However, they must work on their pricing. Most dishes are too pricey and they don't offer value for money. The price of a simple milk kulfi ice cream is $3.50. The dish which is $15 should be something around $11.

Very Good delicious food all in all. Ordered through uber eats. All Indian Vegetarian and southern indian kerala state dishes awesome. Couldnt find any fault in quality, quantity and taste. Will order it again for sure

The food was great with old management, now with new management food is not meeting the kerala touch.
And trust me, management have to be very careful with the staff, especially a girl named sarga. She did piss me off badly kindly made a decision not to come the Restaurant anymore as well as I wouldn't recommend your place. She should have some manners to behave to the customer. All the other kids seems to be good and down to earth.
