Kal Tire

Absolutely horrible. Send your enemies here. Waterloo, ON location sent me out with one tire at 18 psi after refusing to install the tire size I actually ordered and wasting my time by sending a completion notice before my tires were even on the car.

I went to Kal Tire very recently to change the wheels including buying new steel rims & Michelin winter tires & to fix the alignment. Their services were very good & prices were reasonable. This was my first time to Kal Tire. Then I again went there to change engine oil & a full car inspection. They changed the engine oil & told me that my car is drivable, just an issue with motor mount. I need to change the motor mount. I expressed my interest to change it from Kal Tire & they told me that they ask Heffner Toyota for quote & they would reach me afew hours later. They didn't provide me any physical copy of the result of my car's inspection. I returned home but they didn't contact me. Next day I called them. Every call had a long waiting time & a waste of time. They told me they will send me the quote 5minutes later, but they didn't. Very next day I again called them & mentioned that previous day they didn't send me the quote. Again they said they will. Again they didn't. One week later I called them & they spoke to me with a tone like they don't care me. They directly told me my Toyota car is more than ten years old & it is so hard to find any Toyota parts for my car! (My Toyota car's mileage is only 107000km and in great condition). They denied to provide me the physical copy of my car inspection. They said when they find the motor mount, they will contact me. 1 month has passed & they didn't contact me. Very irresponsible & arrogant behaviour from their side.

A friend from Church recommend this place. Got new tires and brakes. Customer service was knowledgeable friendly and quick. The place is clean and comfortable. Well branded. Well priced for the quality we got. They were very patient with me.

Purchased new tires and wheel alignment done. They only recommend repair/service required but doesn't pressure you. Everyone was very nice and definitely coming back.

I did change
rotor and break pads in June 2023. They did it well. Eventhough I live in Guelph and I didn’t mind to go there for solid reasons, really worth it. They are really prompt at their work & got an appointment pretty quicker

I went to Kal tire to change the season tires.
I was treated very well and the service was fast! The guy who I paid my bill at the front desk (give him my compliments) was solicitous and very polite. My experience with Kal Tire has been positive.

Shout out to Alex and the gang working on Saturday April 29,2023. Coming into to town from Sudbury and had lost wheel weights causing major vibration. They squeezed us in and helped us out.

Great staff, awesome customer service and last but not least;gave us an amazing deal.

Thanks again for your help, we made it back to Sudbury safe and sound!

I am always impressed and appreciative of the service given when I go to Kal Tire. The staff are kind and knowledgeable.
I have only great things to say.

I started my first service in Kal several years before pandemic, all were excellent, quality was also A+.
So this year I had both of my vehicles snow tires swapped there again. Terrible things happened, both of them had loosing tires after the service. One happened right at the same day, another was a couple of weeks late, I was lucky because I found and fixed it by myself before my a long trip. It could cause serious damage not just to the car but to my family life. I will never go back to this Kal Waterloo anymore and I suggest that if you get your tires swapped there, please buy a torque to double check if your tires are attached to your car tightly.

Disappointed. Everything was fine to start. Went to Kal Tire because they had the cheapest price. Ordered in the tires they came fairly quick. Made an appointment for 9: 30am. They said it might take a little longer than usual because they we’re having issues with the alignment equipment, no worries.

Got a text at 11am that my vehicle was ready to pick up. Get there and pay $915. I asked if they did the alignment because it was much faster than they originally estimated and the manager doubled checked.

Turns out they DID NOT do the alignment but charged me $135 for it. I had to wait an extra hour for them to do that. Their excuse was it was a new employee. I understand mistakes happen but if I didn’t ask I would have be screwed.

Very disappointed.

Super professional and very pleased with my experience with them. Despite being extremely busy, when the computer fed faulty information about my tire size resulting in noises that shouldn't be happening, they took it upon themselves to make it right, and even discounted my final purchase for the inconvenience. Highly recommend these guys.

Says open at 8: 00am online, called - no answer. Voicemail says open at 8: 00am. Called agian at 8: 30am, and 9: 00am, same voicemail.

They are super friendly and professional. I got a wheel alignment and seasonal tire change done for a great price:)

There staff is Useless.couldnt even handle fixing a valve stem on a tire. Take your business somewhere else.

I've been a Kal Tire customer for a few years but will be looking elsewhere in the future due to the sharp decline in service over the years.

I initially chose Kal Tire over the ease and convenience of booking and managing my appointments online. I chose to return to Kal Tire Waterloo in part due to their exceptional service, with tire swaps never taking more than 30 minutes.

The 30 minute tire swaps eventually degraded into 60 minute tire swaps, then into 90 minute tire swaps.

Then in the Fall of 2020, I went in for a tire swap and accepted the alignment which would become a two hour ordeal. Although the tire swap was competed in a reasonable amount of time, the staff admitted to forgetting about the alignment and as a result, my car sat in the garage untouched until I returned to inquire about the status of my vehicle. As compensation for this, I was not charged for the tire swap. I left annoyed, but opted to return to Kal Tire.

In the Fall of 2022, I went to the Cambridge location for my tire swap. I later noticed that my tires were terribly unbalanced but the Cambridge location wanted to charge me $120 to rebalance, which they should've done right the first time. I decided to give Kal Tire one more chance, and chose to return to the Waterloo location for my Spring 2023 tire swap.

This time I waited two hours before noticing that another customer that had arrived well after me was now leaving before me. I had the front desk person check on the status of my car, and he returned to tell me that they were still checking to see if it needed an alignment. It became clear at this moment that they must have forgotten about me at some point, yet again. The front desk person became extremely defensive given my mounting frustration, then went to check on my car and returned to tell me that two tires needed to be realigned. All of this took mere minutes, despite his pleas that it takes a long time to do. Even if this were true, I would've appreciated being told this when the alignment check was first offered. I declined the alignment, and the desk person went on to charge the full amount for the tire swap, even after giving a different customer a discount for their extended delay.

Needless to say, I will be looking elsewhere for future tire service. I'm beyond fed up with Kal Tire.

The KAL Tire team is courteous, knowledgeable, and helpful. I have no hesitation in recommending KAL Tire as your go-to tire centre. I'm very satisfied with the quality of product and service.

Took my flat tire there, female at front desk advised they could not repair the tire and instead buy a tire from them ($300). Sounded fishy. I took my flat tire to a small shop close to them, they took the nail out and fixed my tire for $15! Do not trust this place! Total scam.

Had some issues with wheel alignment got it done in no time and best staff I have ever met please do visit once, you won’t regret it!

My favourite place to buy tires. Staff are professional, knowledgeable and seem to be familiar over the last many years. One of the few places to get proper winter tires. They honour their warranties without trouble.

This Kal Tire always provide me with excellent advice and customer service. They know me and my vehicle and provide me with all my options. I trust them for all my tire needs.
