Kal Tire

I recently bought a set of winter tires from Kal Tire, but one of them had a slow leak. I popped into their Eagle St, Cambridge ON location minutes before closing to ask if this repair would be covered under warranty, and not only was I assured that it was (nice!) - I was also informed they could fit me in the very next day!

Jamieson in particular was very friendly, helpful and accommodating - within an hour I was back on the road with all my tires up to snuff, and even though they had to replace the tire, I only paid the $20 to install it - the tire itself was covered under warranty. Very happy with the exceptional service at Kal Tire, and will be coming back for all future tire needs!

Wow! Congratulations to Gary Zilles and the team at Kal Tire Cambridge! I say team because I saw the coordinated efforts while waiting for my tire leak to be diagnosed. I recognized faces from my first visit a couple of summers ago. I was traveling long distances, and they fixed a slow but annoying leak that was causing me some worry. I didn't think twice about returning when a winter tire was slowly losing pressure. No one rushed or gave up looking for the cause. Meanwhile, I really appreciated the waiting room, armed with great coffee, and thankfully no music or TV blaring with distressing news. Problem found, resolved, and sent me on my way with wishes a happy holiday. I always say that a business that keeps long-term employees is doing something right! Thank you for making my day!

I had my first experience with Kal Tire a few weeks ago when I ordered a new set of tires from this location.the service advisor was helpful over the phone and the price charged was reasonable compared to other tire shops in the area, so I decided to give them my business.
What I did not like was trying to be sold work that didn’t need to be done.
After my tires were installed, I was informed by the service advisor that my rear brakes needed to be changed right away. Even went as far as saying if I had heard any “grinding noises” which obviously I didn’t.
I was then given an estimate for rear brakes and rotors. ($500)
I knew this was garbage as the wear indicator wasn’t making any noise.
I pulled off my tires a couple weeks later to inspect my brakes as I change my own brakes and noticed they had plenty of brake material left. In fact I could have probably driven another couple of months without issue. Far from the “grinding” that this location was trying to sell.
The other issue was that my new tires were filled 5 lbs over the recommended manufacturer specifications.
Based on the reviews from this location, I was surprised and disappointed at these two issues.
I Hope Kal Tire does some internal training so customers are not prematurely made to spend their hard earned dollars before they have to.
Do better Kal Tire!

Just food for thought … but if you’re going to drag race a motorcycle down the straight away on McQueen-Shaver Blvd 5 to 6 times, maybe don’t do it in a work truck

I frequent this branch very often and they’ve never let me down even once. The manager here, Cory, was very friendly, professional, and are always willing to go the extra mile. I would absolutely recommend this place for any service needs on your automotive!

Excellent service, we had a bad wheel
On our RV which is not regular size that other tire dealers carry. Called early in the morning and they said that they could replace for us. We were in and out of there in no time. This the service I remember and I would highly recommend them.

Not detailed in 3xplaining cost to me and ended up paying double what I planned. Otherwise, my vehicle was serviced well.

Customer service way beyond expectations
Funny Story - Got quotes for two brands of tires from Kal. I think what may have happened is I called back few weeks later and said "I'll take the Nokian one", meaning the Nokian quote as opposed to Michelin quote. Well it turns out there is actually a tire called Nokian One, as opposed to the Nokian WRG4s i got quoted. I noticed this a few weeks after the tires were on, so called them up and spoke with the manager Corey who went way beyond what I ever expected. He had no issues at all swapping the tires for the proper ones, but he also added in some additional services for the hassle. This easily may or may not have been a miscommunication error on my part but that didn't impact Corey from giving great customer service. I'll be driving to his store which is a bit further away in future.

A Kal Tire driver in a pick up threw his cigarette out the window, then cut me off, then sped ahead and cut a bunch of other people off. If these are the kind of people that work here, I won’t ever be giving them my business. Unfortunately I didn’t get the license plate, but it was at 2pm Friday Aug 25th on Fountain/Maple Grove.

This place was an absolute joke fest.

These guys were AWESOME. My daughter had an appointment down in Cambridge. We live 2 hours north. Afterwards she went to do some shopping and the warnings appeared on the car that it was overheating. She stopped and called me (dad). Big puddle under car. We contacted the Ford dealership nearby but they could not help her right then. They suggested Kal Tire and the dealership called them and then called my daughter back saying that Kal could see her right away. She limped the car to Kal (about 2km) and they were ready for her! Long story short she was back on the road in 2 hours with a new coolant reservoir. I cannot express my thanks enough for the crew at this shop. They went above and beyond. Thank you so much!

If you are looking for somebody who you can trust, I will recommend them. I went there for my appointment for wheel alignment. They did not charge me because it’s alignment was good and they didn’t have to adjust it.

One of the best interactions I've had at a service/repair center. All the Employees were super helpful and understanding of my situation. They took good care of my car and were prompt with the repairs. Would recommend 5/5

Nothing is worst than starting a vacation with a flat tire but three in a short time sucks After a night at a hotel in Cambridge we limped into Kal Tire on Saturday morning. To say the least Gary was awesome and very helpful. Not two, not three, going for four and five including our spare on our trailer was on and ready to go by 930 Saturday morning. Words cannot express how much we appreciated Ben, Dayton, Damien. They were professional, pleasant and very sympathetic. We continued on but we will never forget the boys at KalbTire. Cambridge
