If you're looking for a big procedure - avoid this clinic. I've had a horrible crown experience here with Dr Ahlawat and do not recommend this clinic for anything other than cleaning maybe (which, lets face it, is hard to mess up). I have never had such terrible dental experience anywhere in any city and Ive had multiple crowns done in the past, and never had to write a 1 star review for any business, but the terrible experience left me feeing very disappointed and full of anxiety and a waste of money.
I waited for over a month to write this because i needed to go to another clinic to fix what this doctor has done and once it was fixed by someone much more knowledgeable i realized how much skill and expertise Dr Ahlawat is lacking, how much i was not informed of, how bad they made me feel as a patient, how unnecessary all the anxiety they put me through was, and i felt the need to warn others.

Let me begin by saying i have very sensitive teeth. I needed to get a crown for one of my bottom teeth, and it happened to be one of the most sensitive ones i have. From the first appointment regarding this crown til the very end the Dr.kept insisting there will be limits to what they can and what type of crown because " your teeth are just too sensitive", thus leaving me feeling somehow guilty for something that wasnt my fault. I felt strange hearing this as a patient (should have taken this as a first major red flag but wanted to give her more chances to prove herself which i now regret) "I cant possibly be the only one in this world with such sensitive teeth? " i thought to myself? When she needed to polish that tooth to prepare it for crown measurement, she couldnt freeze it fully, i kept feeling pain and sensitivity, she kept repeating it was because of my tooth she cant do much, thus making me feel guilty and inadequate again.i didnt want any silver in my mouth and asked for porcelain crown, she put that one on.it broke few days later. I was shocked as thats never happened before in any other clinic. Upon her communication with the lab she told me they'll prepare another one but they all kept warning me my teeth are just "too sensitive" and if they cant polish the tooth to the correct shape i need to get a silver crown or at least one side must be silver.i felt hopeless and confused, they made me feel bad for having the kind of teeth i had and no one else in my experience made me feel like this in the past. As a patient, my disappointment and anxiety kept rising and id leave each appointment feeling like i simply wasnt getting the best care and wasnt told of any other options.
I agreed to the crown with one side being silver as thats all the options Dr offered me. Sept 6 she put on that (second) crown. 2 days later it fell out completely! There was also food particles inside it which led me to believe it was not even cemented properly and was a job done bad.

At this point of my disappointing journey with them i had to start asking friends for other recommendations of clinics. A month and a half later I'm not only relieved i have a beautiful WHITE crown put on made of zirconia (which was not even mentioned as an option by her) but my new dentist in detail and with great care explained all options with me, made me feel reassured and calm that there is no such thing out there as "too sensitive" and to my pleasant surprise they were able to freeze my teeth without any issues, polish and scale it and prepare for a crown so i can smile confidently.
I CANNOT BELIEVE how terribly i was made to feel at this clinic with not only lack of care, lack of options, lack of skill. In retrospect Dr Ahwalat does not possess the expertise or bedside manner required to offer great professional caring service. She doesnt even offer all the possibly anesthetics to freeze sensitive teeth.
If i could give zero stars i would, no patient deserves to be made to feel guilty and inadequate about something to do with their teeth and spend money on subpar service.

I just completed my one year anniversary with my new implant installed, it is fabulous and the implant feels very much like a real tooth. Most importantly when eating, it feels natural, comfortable and I'm very confident biting down. This is the complete opposite of the feeling on the other side of my mouth which has a bridge. Yes, it costs a little more than a bridge but its easily worth it and I will never hesitate again to get an implant. The procedure takes a few visits but easy and done by professional and very friendly staff.)
The real comparison of a bridge and implant is; a bridge is feeling a foreign object in your mouth all the time, the implant.you can't tell its there.

I got a filling done here recently and Dr. Ahlawat and DA- Leana did an amazing job. I usually get freezing done, but this time I was able to get the procedure done without any freezing as Dr. Ahlawat was very gentle with it and I didn't even feel a thing. Definitely, the BEST dental care experience I ever had. Thank You!:)

We recently visited this dental clinic for my wife with high expectations of receiving quality care, but my experience wasn’t that good.

I booked an 'emergency' appointment for my wife, but there was an unexpected delay for her appointment with a last minute cancelation. Consequently, we ended up going for a 'regular' examination one week later, because by the time my wife received the examination, the urgency of the situation had already passed.

After that, during our second visit which was two days later from the first one, dentist wanted to do “new patient examination”. We already had been there two days before for an examination and she was the same dentist who conducted the first examination. I reminded her that we had been there recently, and we had provided our up-to-date X-rays, but it seemed my concerns fell on deaf ears, and she proceeded with the examination quickly. The second examination, in particular, was a brief glance while my wife’s tooth was being numbed. This hardly qualifies as an examination, and it's concerning that I was charged for it. To add to the frustration, we had already been charged for the examination during the first visit as “emergency” examination, which we assumed to be a new patient examination. Unfortunately, health insurance policies typically do not cover the cost of a second examination, and we had to pay this amount from our pocket.

Despite expressing my concerns, there has been no clear resolution regarding the second examination charge. I believe a fair resolution is essential for maintaining trust with patients.

My experience at this dental clinic has been disappointing, primarily due to billing practices and examination quality. I hope they take these concerns seriously and work towards improving their services and communication with patients.

Always friendly and care about their patients and their needs. I was extremely nervous on my first visit due to a bad experience elsewhere, but they took their time and made sure I was always comfortable and alright during any procedures. I am no longer a “nervous” patient. I would absolutely recommend them to anyone.

Highly recommend this place. The dentist is very personable and kind. She's very skilled, fillings are done quickly and efficiently. Remarkable group of people working here.

Possibly worst experience. I haven’t gone to the dentist in a while, so I was just listening and agreeing with what was being said or told to do. Yet nothing that was given to me or told helped me with my pain. Instead, I ended up spending an insane amount of money just for a 2 minute thing with this dentist, who then prescribed something that didn’t help at all (more wasted money) and then booked me for a procedure that I had to pay another deposit for (more wasted money). Like I said, I have not gone to the dentist much, but I would never recommend this to anyone.

Had many cavities which needed to be filled. 3 times they had made them SO painful after that I could not eat. Another time I developed a massive bruise on the side of my face.needless to say I'm switching dentists. (They did fix them for free) still not impressed.

Felt like I was home! I have dental anxiety and never felt this calm and safe in a dental environment!

We usually used to have a nice experience with this dental clinic here. But, I really had a severe pain when I went for cleaning with the dentist (who seems to be new) last time. My whole family experienced the pain during their cleaning routine with her which is unusual and we had not experienced this before. Even when my daughter told her it's paining, she keeps continuing with the process without even comforting her. We would appreciate it if the clinic resolve this issue.

Very professional and soft spoken doctor. She is a well informed dentist and takes care always. Staff is also very helpful.

They did an awesome job. Great customer service and they did an all around amazing job. I got a filling on my receding gum line and the colour is perfectly matched I can't even tell that my tooth root was showing before. Very happy I switched dentists.

This is a terrible dentist. Extremely rude and not gentle at all. They say they can do something but they can’t. They do this just to grab your money. I was in there for 15 mins, left with my teeth bleeding and in severe pain and it costed me $200!

My son Gabe has anxiety and at the Kanata Highlands Dental Care, their dentist is the first dentist and hygienist that ever actually listened to him. He has no fears going and feels perfectly comfortable and safe and that is a huge bonus for a mum. He has gone to 3 different dental clinics in the past 4 years. Thank You.

I give one extra star because the doctor cured one issue of my gum with reasonable cost.
Not very pleasure experience on the other parts. The nurse doesn't allow patients ask questions and stare at patients with anger, the doctor does not check the patient's history and previous record before the treatment. They don't listen to patient's words until they found out they misjudged situation. They do cleaning with cold water which is not comfortable. I just realize how bad they are after I go to another local dental clinic.

They answered all my queries and were helpful throughout my experience at Kanata Highlands Dental Care.
The procedures were well conducted with little to no pain felt. The doctor’s took great amounts of care and attention, seeing to it that all the procedures I went through were painless.
They even took the time to explain the procedure, to calm my tensed mind and the staff at the front desk helped me a lot with the insurance aspect since it was my first time visiting a dental clinic in Canada.
I will definitely be a regular here. And kudos to the excellent staff and service.

Every time I come for my appointment, Dr Maneet Ahlawat always has the best bedside manner. She takes the time to explain the work she will do and possible alternatives if there are any. Her honesty is very refreshing. The front staff and assistants are all very wonderful and I always know my appointment will be a good one. I also appreciate the office taking the time to directly bill insurance which makes less work for myself. Thank you all for the great work you do.

My daughter has been very anxious about going to the dentist. Her recent appointment was with Joy, one of the dental hygienist at the office. Joy was extremely patient with her, explained and demoed all that she was doing and cheered her on the whole way. I was totally impressed. Amazing staff.

After my dentist of 25 years retired I have jumped from one dentist to another for nearly a decade. I have finally found the right dentist! The staff are awesome and I was made to feel welcome and at ease. Thank you!

Profession service:
Doctor Ahlawat offered a very relax and pressure free dental treatment. She is humorous and aim to provide her patient a pressure-free and pleasure dental treatment. If you have problem the following day afterward, she would try her best to address your problem even though there is a schedule conflict. The best thing about her is that she is not that kind of dentist that pushes you to spend money on unnecessary dental treatment, she only recommend to get thing that needs to be done.

very clean and new and I love the animal channel on tv when getting my cavities done!

We had good experience here. Dr. Ahlawat was very accommodating and patient with my 4 year old who needed several filings.

As a 57 year old man, I have frequented many Dentist in my life. When I was a kid I had a really bad experience that I carried with me to my adulthood.
Kanata Highlands Dentistry has taken this information at heart and are
very sensitive to my anxieties with dentistry. They are very gentle and
frequently making sure that I’m ok and paying close attention to the
patient, a perfect fit for kids. There’s this family atmosphere that
resonates throughout the office where staff love to work there and love
their patients. They take their time and do not rush to get you out to
the next patient, like many I have frequented in the past. The office is
very clean and the staff, when done with the
patient, are wiping/disinfecting various surfaces. This dental office is
equipped with high tech equipment that I’ve never seen before. Each
examination room is equipped with 2 Televisions, one on the wall and
one on the ceiling. I was asked by one of the Dentist if I wanted a
different channel to watch. So attentive to details.
They’re also a larger TV in the reception area where kids can watch,
Well, kids shows.
This office is the perfect example of what a business model should look
like for any successful enterprise. BRAVO

Very clean space, top notch equipment, and the staff is very friendly and professional. My son had to have 2 fillings done and he was really scared it would hurt but the dr and her assistant were very patient with him and made him feel comfortable and we got the fillings done.yeaah!
