Everyone is so caring and understanding. Dr. Levesque is so down to earth and listens to your every concern. She gives you options and always considers the financial aspect of everything. My family loves you Dr. Levesque. You are truly a blessing to my dogs.

They did not honour the special requests for our needy cat. Very unprofessional conduct as well. We will be bringing our business somewhere else.

After a spaying procedure with Kanata Lakes Animal Clinic our cat had remaining ovarian tissue. This caused our cat to continue to go into heat every month. The clinic refused to refund our money for the botched procedure and refused to remove the remaining tissue unless we paid them more.

Edit: I have no reason to leave a negative review for something that did not happen. It is very unprofessional to see businesses not take accountability for their mistakes especially after we spent so much money at your establishment. Our veterinary record with you is under my wife’s name. I am writing on our behalf. The pet was our black domestic shorthair. We had our cat tested at another veterinarian after your botched procedure and our cat was diagnosed with ovarian remnant syndrome. Our cat had to undergo another surgery at a more qualified veterinarian to remove the remaining ovarian tissue. You were not “always willing to help” after the botched surgery which caused immense suffering for our cat unless we paid you more money. Taking accountability can go a long way in the business world. Thank you.

We love Dr. O, he always provides amazing and rapid care for our pets. He performed dental removals for our adopted cat and it was affordable and well done.

When we first adopted our cat, other vets considered putting him down.but Dr. O gave him a chance by helping with his dental. After the dental, our cat was a changed man! He became super vibrant and looks like he shaved years off.

We also super appreciate the consideration of oral medications for kidney disease to accommodate our cat's habits.

This clinic was recommended by a close friend but my wife and I were quite disappointed with the staff. My sister is a veterinarian in Toronto and the one staff members questioned me like she was trying to prove that I was lying. I would say maybe it was just me but she was on speaker phone and my wife had the exact same reaction after hearing her. We found her to be quite rude.
Also, I requested that they send the medical records to my sister but they were not sent so I have had to follow up.
This being said, the surgery went well and our dog has healed up quite well thus far.

My cat had a dental surgery on Wednesday and we have nothing but good things to say. They were able to take him quickly (next-day consult and surgery scheduled for a month after that) which was a much quicker timeline than other vets we had contacted and the price was reasonable too. Dr. O and the other staff were great with him and explained the after-care really well so we were left with no questions. We definitely recommend.

Dr. O is great! He did an excellent job with my senior dog who had a dental cleaning and also for my puppy’s spay surgery. I definitely recommend them!

Above all, this clinic is BY FAR one of the best clinics in the Ottawa region. In my years of pet ownership I have been to many different clinics but none compare to the level of care you will receive here. Kanata Lakes Animal Clinic has the best doctor and the best staff! Kanata Lakes Animal Clinic is one of a kind! I have been to several vets over the years but nothing compares. Dr. O, April and team are kind, caring and truly want what’s best for you pet. They are accommodating, understanding and don’t apply pressure for any unnecessary treatment. Truly the best of the best.

This is one of the best clinics I have ever attended. The staff is extremely friendly and knowledgable. All of the veterinarians will do whatever they can to help every single one of their patients and their owners. Thank you Kanata Lakes Animal Clinic!

I heard about Kanata Lakes Clinic through an Ottawa dog Facebook group, specifically that it was a clinic with both great care and competitive prices. My dog Rosa has had a variety of health issues since I adopted her last year and I’ve visited a few vets but wasn’t quite satisfied with the care or prices. Well, I’m very happy with Kanata Lakes! The few times I’ve brought Rosa in so far, they were able to get her seen much more quickly than other clinics and again the pricing is much more affordable. Dr. Vachon listened intently to my concerns and took her time examining Rosa, suggesting treatment options and answering my questions. I also saw Dr. O previously who helped come up with solutions and didn’t insist on immediately taking the expensive route (which paid off as it wasn’t needed in the end).

Highly recommend the vet services at this clinic, however the reception staff can be quite rude. I am very understanding of many places being shorted staffed so when there is only one receptionist I understand that it is difficult to answer the phone and help people in the waiting room, however being condescending and passive aggressive to your clients is unacceptable.

I also asked a question about exam fees for booster shots as we recently moved to this province and at our last vet we were not charged for an exam fee for booster shots since they had just seen them. When I asked if it was a common practice to be charged for exam fees and then said I was asking since we had recently moved here and was curious if it was normal practice the reply was "well it is here, so I can send you your pets records so that you can find a new vet". I was not planning on switching vets however I guess I am now and then they sent me my vets records and in the email said "You can call around and eventually find another clinic". I found this wording quite passive aggressive.

This was with multiple different front desk staff which is extremely disappointing. Up until our experience today I would have recommended this clinic but am left feeling extremely disappointed today.

The vet has no compassion or ability to work with dogs. I was a client of this location for 2 years and took my puppy in a few times but have recently switched to carp road animal hospital for a much better experience. The vet here would not even say hello or warm up to my dog before trying to exam him or administer medicines, causing my dog to become even more nervous/anxious on the next visit. After switching my dog was still quite skittish at the new vet but thanks to the quality care and kindness they took time to engage my dog to make him feel safe before doing anything. However, at kanata lakes they treat your animal like an object and if it won't cooperate they recommend full anesthetic to move forward. I hope others who love their fur babies will read this and know to stay away if they don't want to put their pets through unnecessary treatments and scar them for future vet visits.

I simply went in for a deworming and my pup was unwillingly given his second set of shots 3 weeks early. I went to get a second opinion and they confirm that was much too early. Wasn’t given the chance to ask any questions and dismissed very quickly. As a first time visit that was disappointing.

Edit: After this encounter I was emailed by the owner with kind words expressing his sincere apologies. Along with other accommodations they have made for me, I am definitely recognizing the thoughtfulness of the clinic and appreciate their effort. I will be going back to see how it works out the second time.

Note that this is not to discourage anyone. It could have just been my perspective.

This Dr.and his staff are amazing! I first went to him a few years ago with my shitzu Abby she had to have surgery on her shoulder, I was so happy with the results and the care the Dr.gave my fur baby Abby. Abby is no longer with me she is in doggy heaven, she was over 15. I then got my next fur baby Peanut about a week ago and brought her to see the kindest and amazing Dr.and he gave Peanut all her shots and was so gentle and loving with my pet Peanut. So if anyone is looking for a vet from heaven, you've found him. Thank-you to you and your staff for caring for my fur babies

POOR and RUDE SERVICE! The receptionist, April, at the Kanata Lakes Animal Clinic is incompetent, condescending, and rude. She incorrectly charged us for medication that we had already paid for during a previous visit. She refused to give us a refund until we showed proof of purchase. The charge was her mistake, the visit had nothing to do with the medication, and she did not disclose what she was charging us on our bill. We only found her mistake when we got home and checked the invoice, which was emailed after we had already paid. We had to call multiple times and speak to the vet to get a simple refund. She antagonized and belittled me for asking her to fix her mistake. The right and simple thing to do would have been to apologize for the mistake and provide the refund.

I called this clinic to book appointment. The lady who answered the phone asked me to fill out the form online since my pet is a new pt.to them. After I filled out online form, I called back to follow up and book an appointment (As I thought I needed to, I did not know what is the next process as it was not stated online after submitting form so I called back anyway). She puts me on hold and then after, she told me why I called back. (Her voice seems kinda rush that just wants to get the conversation over with and not friendly at all) She said she is busy, answering calls here and there and needs to make file for my pet first so I just need to wait at the end of the day and she will contact me back. At the end of the day, no call back from this clinic. What a disappointment.

So I called another different vet clinic, they answered phone right away and made a new pt.file for my pet through the phone (She said no need to go to fill out online since she is already talking with me on the phone). It was fast, easy and convenient. Plus the lady was courteous and friendly.

I hope Kanata Lakes Animal Clinic will have an understanding, polite and friendly staff to speak with on the phone especially for a newcomer to the clinic. But after this incident, I don't think I will bring my pet here nor recommend this to anyone.

Not only are the veterinarians fantastic but their office staff, most particularly April is the most helpful and kind person I have every dealt with, she is simply amazing. Thank you all for your professional abilities and personal treatment, I can't tell you how much it is appreciate.

The receptionist handled all my questions with care and detail. Gave me the advice I needed and helped me out tremendously. The service and professionalism was superb. And I will return for sure!

I brought my baby boy, Dusty, to get neutered here. I am an anxious first time cat mom, but they were so patient and understanding. They answered all my calls and questions with a nice understanding tone, which I really really appreciated. Thank you so much guys for treating my Dusty so well and for being so patient with my questions! If you're an anxious pet owner too, I really do recommend bringing your pet here. Not only will they be wonderful with your pet, but they will also be very nice to you! Wonderful service.

Dr. O and his team are the most kind and helpful people. As a new time dog mom of two chihuahuas, they always answer my questions in a timely manner. With all of our visits including an emergency visit, I know they have taken good care of my chihuahuas as they never leave scared. Horrible experience and did not even enter. I parked next to the sign that is reserved for emergencies. Came back to my car to a notice explaining that I should not have parked there. If they were professional they would have put More signs up in other spots vs the one spot. As well going into the parking lot that they do not own and touching my vehicle and putting a notice in it is highly unprofessional. If there is that much time to accomplish this they care more about parking then there practice. None of my pets will ever step a paw in this establishment. Be more aware before acting. And know who your potential customers could be.

Beyond happy! Recently moved here from Toronto during covid and was able to get an appointment here at the soonest 2 weeks compared to 1-2 months waiting time. Dr. O was so nice and straight forward! Very knowledgeable and let us know everything without the fear of vets trying to squeeze more money out of you, he gave us very practical advice. They were experienced with both our small dog and cat and they were both happy and themselves after a vet visit.

Very good vet in my experience. Surgery done at a much more reasonable price compared to others. Staff are friendly. Go above and beyond to help. Dr O seems reasonable and competent. Questions always answered very quickly. Thanks for taking care of my dog she's happier than ever and doing great after having her bad teeth removed.

I just want to give the biggest shout out to this vet! As a single mother I have had some run in problems with other vets, especially over charging me and not even helping my animal. April the receptionist was so sweet and very well informed, she was very caring! My vet Mrs Vachon was incredibly genuine and thoughtful of my dogs needs.explained everything thoroughly about what is possibly going on and what we can do to improve his health.she wrote everything on paper and prices.how thoughtful! And the owners wife was so sweet as well, came out and explained the medication and told me how beautiful my dog was. I literally prayed for a affordable reliable and honest vet. Well here it is! Kanata lakes you have taken so much anxiety off my chest about my pet.and I forgot to mention the owner took my call originally and was so kind and thoughtful. This hands down the best vet I've ever been too! Thanks so much to the whole Kanata lakes team!

Quick and efficient service. Vet didn't fool around and got x-rays done of my dog's back to determine the cause of the pain. In and out in about 20 minutes and felt I had a good understanding of the problem and how to manage it. From what I've seen, their rates are lower than most clinics and no upselling tactics. Would recommend!

They were amazing! I searched high and low (9 other vets) for an appointment for a kitty who had been feeling unwell for 2 days. Kind and professional they managed to see said Kitty on the same day! He is now feeling much better after treatment. Thank you!

Dr O is fantastic! Best Vet in the City! We will not go anywhere else. Coming from a bad experience with a senior dog, they treat us like family. Don't go anywhere else!

After calling around to 10 + vet clinics around the city to get my pup in for a pretty bad cut on his paw, Kanata Lakes got me in hassle free. Thank you so much for being so accommodating and understanding. You have gained a returning customer and endless recommendations.:)

My wife’s vet in Arnprior was unable to see her cat any time in the near future when we worried about a possible UTI. After being refused by every other vet in Arnprior and Carp, she began to call around Kanata, finally finding this wonderful office. They not only squeezed him into their already full schedule, but arranged for her to leave him with them for the day while working at her job in Ottawa. When she got home, she had so many positive things to say about this office: caring and professional staff who went above and beyond from the time she arrived until the time she picked him up; a veterinarian who took the time to provide complete care and a complete explanation of her cat’s issues along with advice on how to address them; very reasonable fees, and on and on she went. She said she will be switching to this vet from here on out, despite the long drive, and recommending them to everyone she knows.

Diagnosed the problem with my Boston Terrier after the previous Veterinary missed it. Responds very quickly to inquiries. I am well pleased with the service they are providing.

I first decided to come here for the reasonable fees. ($10 off for first time patients, reasonable spaying fees.)
Then I decided I will keep on bringing my Tonkinese to Dr O's and Maria's. Their dedication, affection towards pets and professionalism is undeniable.

We were impressed by how efficient and professional the clinic was during our visit. The staff were all very friendly and it was really affordable

One of our cats suddenly stopped eating and showed clear signs something was not right. Despite having a suspicion of being a teeth-related problem, the other clinic wanted us to keep performing additional tests (ultrasound, more clinical appointments, etc = more time feeling pain) instead of arranging to have his teeth taken care of. After one week struggling, we contacted KLAC and they were able to provide care much sooner than other places. The staff is very friendly and quick to answer emails/calls. Dr. O.was very professional and caring and the price was very fair. Our furry guy is doing much better thanks to their care! We moved to Ottawa last year and are glad that we have finally found a clinic we are happy with. Thank you KLAC team!
