There's no way to contact the store directly or call them. It goes to a call centre and everyone taking calls are quite incompetent. I placed an order on Uber and I really needed to get in touch with that store to confirm allergy restrictions. The call centre employees aren't helpful and the fact that you cannot call the location directly is annoying.
Went here once years ago, and remember enjoying the restaurant. Just went back again today after a long while as I now work near the place…and what a disappointment. The food was horrible…the rice was dry, the chicken was chewy, they gave me hot sauce for a salad dressing which I didn’t know until I ate the salad. We threw most of our dinner out…total waste of money. Tried calling the restaurant to talk about the food and their # goes to an ordering call center.
Not Afghan food at all, it has a different taste then Afghan food, I’m Afghan and I know exactly how it should taste like, you should keep it authentic don’t mix other countries recipes please, and please make fresh food next time.
Terrible. Mosquitos all over the place. They bit me and my baby, and ruined my food. Food quality dropped to 0! I could not break boneless chicken piece with spoon! Taste wise was terrible! Kandhar no longer the same. Will never come back!
Dear owner, PLEASE GET RID OF THE RANDOM INDIAN GUY YOU HAVE HIRED FOR PICKING UP YOUR CALLS. IM PRETTY SURE U HIRED SOME INDIAN CALLCENTRE. THERE IS NO WAY TO SPEAK TO THE RESTAURANT DIRECTLY. ONE TIME I PLACED AN ORDER WITH THE GUY AND HE JUST DIDNT PLACE IT. PLEASE FIRE HIM AND LET US SPEAK TO THE RESTAURANT DIRECTLY THIS IS SO FRUSTRATING AND ANNOYING. UGHHH. YOU HAVE TO BE THE ONLY RESTAURnt THAT HAS NO WAY TO SPEAK TO THE RESTAURANT DIRECTLY FOR THE CUSTOMERS. That’s all.
Nice Afghan food- it’s usually very crowded on weekends and in general as well. Kids can also enjoy this cuisine because the food is not spicy. Just don’t add the spicy sauces they give along with it.
Food was decent however the photos on their menu on UberEats are deceiving. The portion sizes aren’t what they seem. The two pieces of meat in my Beef Kabouli Pulau were pretty small compared to the photos. For $20 I mostly ate rice and bread.
The customer service is terrible. The staff in the back working in the kitchen don’t wear a mask. They are not dressed accordingly for work with the proper shoes and attire. They do not enforce customers wearing a mask nor do they check vaccine status. Absolutely terrible. The only thing good about this place is their food, which they mess half of them in take-out boxes when we specifically asked for dine in.
Offers the prayer’s room, neat place and friendly staff. Good middle eastern varieties and exceptional Kababs and offers Tandoor. NO SHAWARMA NO WRAP at this location.
Its used to be very good location, food was good but now they don't care food quality has gone down and staff is just kids running crazy to manage, we ordered rice platters and made specific request to make it Kabuli rice, they just toss some carrots, rice was not good and and kebobs were mediocre, I would avoid going their specially when you have restaurant like NAAN KEBOBS, SULTAN, AND BAMIYAN, one shouldn't have to tolerate them, avoid going to thorncliff branch go instead above mention restaurants you will have good experience.i hope manager can read this and bring the quality and humble beginnings back.
Food itself is amazing - some of the best kababs i’ve had personally.however dine-in needs some work; the waterfall glass display leaks onto the seats, the floor under our table was quite dirty and unkept, and the cutlery I was given was definitely not washed properly.again, i have 0 complaints the food itself but the dine-in experience could be better.
I ordered 2 Kk fish. See the difference between 2 fish. One was extra fried and tasted like burnt. For server She need to know Yes there are Raisins (kishmish) in it. I was asking her about it. She don’t know what raisins are. I spent around 40$ and getting this type of food is not acceptable. Another thing i m seeing owner never reply or compensate on reviews posted. Thats why your ratings are on 3.5… Try Bamain kabob, bbq tonight much better thin this. Expensive and worst food quality…I hope someone will look into this matter and reply with conclusion.
Afghani cousine is our goto when we dont know what we want to eat and it never disappoints us. Love the Grilled Salmon here! Sultani is also one of our favourites. Must try the bolani and mantu!
Food was excellent, customer service needs improvement but on the whole was good, but could be great. It would be great if they had the order number on the receipt or actually printed and given to you so that your don't forget your number which often happens as I saw with the people in line before me.
Poor customer service, they dont know how to talk to the customer.sorry to say but i never seen this kind of pathetic indian staff before in restaurants.
1st n last time visited, total indian staff not even a single person from Afghanistan, nor typically afghani taste, don't have zero star to give them hopeless restaurant and staff
I would never recommend anyone to go there bad to worse service ever they not only delayed our food from 30min to 1 hour but also missed wfood worth of 50$. All the family fun was runied.
Yesterday, i went their to pickup my food. A girl name Jashan she is their and she is very nice, polite and very helpful. Her behaviour looks familiar to me. Please guys must visit in the restaurant.
Went to this place with family and ordered Kandahar Kabab popular dishes. The picture below is kabul kabab what we got compared to how it was advertised on their website and the location.
Suffice to say, quality of the food was disappointing. We complained to the staff about the quality and the look of the food and nothing was really done about it. We wasted more than $200 here and it wasn't worth it. Definitely won't be visiting this place again. This place standards are really low.
I usually don't like giving less rating but yesterday evening I was very disappointed. I gave one star because atleast the food taste and quantity is good. Customer service is horrible. The girl at the front was very rude. And I saw flies on the food and surroundings. I couldn't eat Naan after seeing two flies on it. I used to come here before it was never the same but now it was horrible.
2 stars because or the taste food. Service and cleanliness is 0 stars. The cook touched raw meat kebab and then cooked the skewers on the grill and then proceeded to make the salad with the same dirty hand. I would think that is a big time infraction/contamination.
The Chapli tasted like it was borderline spoiled but the burg made up for it.
I hope the management looks at this review and have a chat with their staff. I will update the review when I try this place again. Their grilled item is better then other places but they really need to work on other things.
Ordered 150$ of food. Asked for extra sauce and PAID for extra sauce, lady said there was extra sauce in the bag, got home and there was not even enough sauce for what I ordered, let alone extra sauce. I'd give 0 stars if I could.
Food is amazing. But the containers were terrible as all the bottoms were melted for the food heat and not safe for eat after. Please fix or change ur containers. Thank you.
I ordered through uber and unlike the other reviews which seem to have a reasonable amount of meat in their plates, mine did not. Especially not for $20 per plate, I was given 4 small pieces of chicken per portion with rice and bread. I even reached out to the resturaunt and was told that was the standard portion size. I will say the food was tasty but I couldnt believe I was charged that much and given so little meat, definitely will not order from here again.
I just ordered the number 42 and I received the hardest bread of ever had and the hardest rise I’ve ever had and the last time my salad had plastic in it. I hope they improve the service because that was ridiculous. I Come back because the first few times I had a fantastic experience. I don’t know what’s happening these last few times.
Food was good, fresh, tasty and authentic. Only problem it said Buy 1 get 1 Free, this was not fulfilled. If you advertise it, then actually fulfill your promise. It was also missing Naan which was supposed to come with the orders. It was an uber delivery, I guess that's why?
One of the most delicious Afghan Kababs are served here. They have decent capacity for sit down dinning but due to covid it’s restricted. They have well spread menu. Meal comes with in-house baked pita bread, rice, salad and your choose of meat. Their hot sauce is actually hot and this is the thing which makes them different from other such places.
Loved the food.amazing food with a excellent customer service.ordered a lamb chop meal and veg chapali kabab meal.what a treat! Amazing food quality and decent food size. 3 lamb chips chops and 2 big veg chapali kababs in the marks.loved it. Surely will go there again. A must try.yummy!
Ordered here for the first time on uber eats, and they sent the wrong order. I ordered lamb chop, they've sent me this mushy yellow patty thing on rice. Never ordering again.
I ordered chicken Kebab, Rice was full of oil, after I complained I got replaced rice with full of again, I ended throwing both the Kebab's and rice. Total waste of Money and time.
Awesome food. Ordered the KK Fish (large) & it was very perfectly grilled with wonderful spices. Value for money, definitely going back for more. Thanks.
Food is decent most of the times. Usually only one person at the counter, makes the wait ridiculously long. Tables are usually greasy. Definitely not a place to come with clients.
Amazing food and very generous food portions, Service was great and we received our order minutes after ordering. Meat was fresh and very tender. Would highly recommend this place if u are looking for some Authentic Afghani cuisine
Kandhar Kabab is known for Afghani cuisine serving the Chapli kabab in town. The kababs are delectable, melt in mouth & full of flavours. Served piping hot with rice, crunchy salad on the side, naan & 2 dips. This is a meal in itself. A very comfortable place, VFM & quick service!
I will say this to anyone who cares to come on these review boards and read. DO NOT go into Kandahar Kabob if you’re looking to have great service, food, accurate cultural food or any of tha above. This place is one of the worst restaurants I’ve ever been to when it comes to cultured food particularly the (Afghani foods).
I’ll start off with the people working. The lady that’s in the front at the cash serving people DOES NOT WANT TO BE THERE! She hates her job and clearly that shows with the type of service she provides. My girlfriend and I went to order and she seemed to be in her own world. Mind you, maybe she was having a day, but based off the reviews I don’t think it’s just a bad day. She was the same as others who complained about her. She was rude, short, and did not care to even break a smile or anything that you’d expect from someone working in hospitality or customer services. So after she finally took our order as we look to the kitchen there was only one kid working who was sipping his coffee with one hand and making the food with the other. To top it off Kandahar Kabobs I thought was a “Afghan” (Persian) restaurant but the cook was South Asian and had no clue as to what a Barg Kabob was and how you Season it, same went with the Koobideh as both were terrible. They had mixed Taco seasoning with a dish which has no place for that type of flavour, being that it’s from a different region and it’s supposed to taste differently. To add to that, they got my girlfriends order wrong and when we tried to take it back to explain the lady at the counter was arguing back claiming we were lying by saying we didn’t order what we actually asked for. It was absolutely ridiculous! You go to these restaurants to experience the authenticity and authentic meals of the culture and people. Yet we were severally disappointed to find out that it tasted nothing like how it was supposed to taste.
So once we got the meals, we took one bite and the taste was terrible and flavour was terrible as expected and we had our money refunded and left. I urge anyone who wants Kabobs to honestly just go to Bamiyan then if you’re craving it since it’s closer as it’s more authentic in everyway and tastier. But the other suggestion I would make for anyone really looking for great food of that style close by the Etobicoke and Mississauga area, go to MAZAR KABOB On 133 THE WESTMALL. It’s much much much better in every way! And for real traditional Persian meals NORTH YORK! But anyways that was my experience I really hope no one else gets to have such an experience. AVOID THIS PLACE if you can.
WORST customer service in the world. The woman working there today at the front with her nasty tobacco eating teeth gave us the hardest time ever. First we go in to get food, this woman will not get off the phone (clearly she was speaking to a friend and laughing her a off on the phone). We’re trying to give our order she won’t listen for so long and then finally paid some attention. We paid and accidentally my friend took out the card too early and she yelled at her. LEGIT yelled at her for taking it out too fast. ‘ WHY WOULD YOU TAKE IT OUT, now i have to do it all over again’. Like we apologized didn’t say anything. She was so rude and disrespectful, no customer service skills. Went back to get drinks and still she was chitter chatting on her phone and didn’t even listen to what drinks I asked for. A note to the manager: PLEASE, Look into this. How do you have such bad customer service training at such a popular restaurant.
Great Afghani taste in GTA is really something amazing. The sitting area is of decent size with open space. They follow a self serve concept which may be something in convenient for a more formal meal and for larger groups. Really lived the taste of chicken and beef skewers with the house sauce that goes so well. Grilled fish awesome and full of flavours, couldn't stop eating that. Even the rice served with meals are delicious with nice aroma. A great place to go with family which the kids also enjoy.
This place is definitely one of my top 5 restaurants in GTA. Afghani food is one of my favourite cuisines and this place has never disappointed me with their dishes. My personal favourite has been Chapli Kabab Meal. Weekends are busy so be ready to wait for 15-20 or even more mins before you get served, it’s doesn’t have a huge sit out and do not do reservations. Only thing which I would like to see getting better or changed is their seatings and interior, it’s not maintained as well as it should have been. Food Quality Price are all excellent!
Amazing food! Service is a hit n miss, sometimes its good n sometimes not. They promptly take orders over the phone n the food is ready for pick up quickly even if they are busy with dine in customers. Overall my fav Afghan food restaurant is KK! Stopped eating bamiyan years ago when i got introduced to KK. They ve got the best naan and the white sauce! Love it.
I Love the Markham location and have never had an issue at that location. I went to this location for the first time last week. I ordered a Sultani Kebab meal. The meal was ready in less than 2 minutes. So I knew already this wasn't fresh and was just heated. I didn't mind and took the meal. Then I noticed there was ground chicken kebab instead of the ground beef kebab. I told the staff and they said that it was indeed beef. I know the difference and I didn't feel like arguing so I left it. Then my naan is ready about 2 minutes later. It was rock hard and wasn't fresh. It says there is WIFI at the location. I went to the front to ask for the password and that was also down. Horrible experience and the food quality was no where near the Markham and Finch location.
I was utterly disappointed by their service. The tables were not cleaned. There was rice and water on the chairs.
We found ourself a half cleaned table and when I was halfway done eating (10: 40pm), I was told by the waiter that we are closing in a few minutes. I gave her a look basically stating do you want me to stop eating. She again came back in 5 mins stating we have to turn off the lights. At that point I just got up and left.
I told her while leaving that they should have just told me at 10: 20pm (when I arrived) that they are not taking orders.
I am surprised this place is still open with this kind of service.
They serve left over food.kabob was smelling, bread was dry and old.rice was cold and taste like days old.my son got sick next morning.table was not clean.neither the plates. Would never recommend.
We ordered chicken tandoori to go for 2 and here is the summary of our experience.
Wait time: 40 mins for takeout. Absolutely unacceptable. 1 person working in the kitchen and 1 in the front to run a big restaurant like this. Although I do appreciate the lady in the front running around with a smile on her face. This is not a 1 person job to run a restaurant. THIS IS NOT SUBWAY.
Food: Terrible food. -The chicken was overwhelmingly sour and was hard to chew -The portion was practically half compare to other kabob places -The salad wasn't fresh. -The rice was stale -The naan was stale. It is supposed to be made fresh.
Overall I would have been ok with the wait had the food been decent - I mean why would I wait for 40 mins yet everything was stale and not fresh.
CHEAP FAMILY owns this restaurant. We ordered two dinners with no salad extra rice and they poured such little portion. There greedyness is ridiculous. I also asked for extra white sauce and apparently they started charging for sauce even though I came all the time and got extra sauce the girl was very greedy i had already paid with my credit card she said $2 for extra sauce and I only had $1 cash on me and my credit card. Like do you really expect me to pay$1 on my card for sauce you could’ve just gave me one for a dollar. Honestly don’t waste your time by going here they don’t cook their food very well I would recommend to either go to another location it’s probably better 100% guaranteed or go to Bamiyon kabob right across the street from them. Bamiyon kabob is the best.
Terrible experience, walked in with my twins in my hands and asked for high chairs. Their response it's at the back you can get them. This is a terrible response for someone who is holding two kids.
There was no 0 star option. The worst worst worst food in the wooorrrrrlllllddd. Biggest fattest regret. Regret choosing this over bamyon kebab, regret choosing this over royal jasmine, regret choosing this over Nando's, regret choosing this over Swiss chalet. Regret choosing this over a bowl of cereal for dinner! I wouldn't even eat this even if it was free!
Food was good but no flavour. Also they use a loud speaker to dispatch all the orders # which is a bit irritating and ghetto. Mango shake, tasted store bought definitely not made naturally. This establishment is unpredictable.
