Karlos Building Supplies

I recently had a really bad time here when I went there to buy materials for my project. The customer service was terrible. When I saw an old, short man with a white beard and moustache outside, I went to ask him a question. And right from the start, he was rude. The guy seemed more interested in frowning at people than helping them. He treated me with disrespect and acted like my questions didn't matter. It was as if I was the one bothering him. The others there were fine, but I’m definitely not coming back here. The lack of professionalism from the this store was awful. I strongly recommend avoiding them if you need building materials. Save yourself the trouble and go somewhere else for your building supplies. You don’t want your day to be ruined because of people like them.

The manager of the store didn’t have any knowledge of what she is selling and she was rushing customers out to close everything down, she was so rude to us because we didn’t know that stores are not retanable and was going to charge them, it was the worst experience that I ever had

One of the worst experience. Karla was very helpful while we placed the order. The owner who came to deliver was at his worst, spoke non sense with my wife and was talking about his supposedly called girl friend in his truck. I wish I was there when he came. Can't imagine how this fellow is still doing business.

The Daughter that works inside is very professional and friendly. Unfortunately the owner is the opposite and made my experience there the worst in my life. I like supporting small businesses and he told me never to come back so therefore I need to give a one star and I will find another place to go for building materials. I have the same question of most other reviews on here how are they still in business?

Today I experienced the worst customer service of my entire life. It started off pretty good. I don't normally shop here because they are much more expensive than their competition but they were the only place who had the particular item in stock. The lady in the store who I talked to was very helpful as was the young man who helped us purchase the stone. The problem was the owner who approached us outside, mid purchase and started yelling at us. We didn't even know he worked there, turns out he is the owner. He lambasted his employee for not following store protocols in selecting stone and then birrated us with an argumentative tone. He was horribly unprofessional in every possible way. He also did not keep a proper distance from us during a pandemic. I will never shop there again. There was no excuse for his horrendous behavior. If they were not the only place in the area with the item in stock and we were half way through the transaction, we would have left immediately. Disgusting experience! Buyer beware.

One of the worst Customer Service skills that I've ever had in my life. I honestly don't know how they are still operational. Very rude and sarcastic and let's not forget the Zero phone etiquette.

Only way I ever spend any money at Karlos supplies ever again, is if Karlos agrees to use the money for mental help, I actually feel bad for the guy, serious issues bud, get help.

Absolutely terrible service. The gentlemen who came to help us was incredibly rude. So much so that we turned around to leave. Do not waste your time with this business.

The first time I dealt with them they were helpful and good. The owner while a touch abrasive was helpful with products and advise on my backyard project. The last time I dealt with him the owner was rude and insulting. Accuing me of stealing until I showed him the bill of sale and then noticed I had some 2x4's in my truck that I purchased elsewhere as I didn't realize he sold lumber. He then went in to tell me to next time but all my supplies from him or nothing! Well that was the last time he gets a dime from me. I like to support local but this guy is too much.

Terrible customer service. We were blamed for their poor product. Will not deal with them again.

I read the bad reviews and I was hesitated to go to them.
But I decided to give them a try. I purchased topsoil, limestones, marble chips, and new sods for my DIY backyard project.
The experience was amazing and completely different comparing to those bad reviews.
Carla is extremely friendly, helpful, and professional. Her customer service and knowledge are phenomenal.
I regret that I did not purchase the patio pavers from them because of the bad reviews.
Go in person and experience it yourself! DO NOT LISTEN TO THE BAD REVIEWS.
Delivery is on time and cheaper than other places. The delivery driver always make sure everything unloaded completely and nothing left behind or on the truck.
Their prices are reasonable and some of the products are even cheaper.

Owner is screaming on you from the entrance, if you ask any questions, he will tell you to F* off, all of my friends have only negative experience, taking into account that previously I've bought some stuff from that store

Don't go with negative reviews. They mean business. Lady is very knowledgeable and informative. I have ordered or bought many stuffs here. It's a family business. They have quality items for a reasonable price.
They are busy and fast that may annoying to some.

I called, the lady was awesome on the phone with product knowledge as well as when I went there she was very pleasant and helpful. They also fit me in on a delivery the same day. Great place if you looking for building supplies and tools.

My husband and I have been doing business with Karlos and his family for over 20 years. In that time we have bought mostly aggregate material for our yard either picking up or having delivered. Karla is great always able to assist and help determine our requirements. Karlos has great ideas and is extremely knowledgeable and that knowledge has helped us set walkways and patios that have now been in place with no movement for over 15 years.

I wish I knew more about the negative reviews to fully understand the situation as I know of no other yards that allow customers to wander without supervision just from a safety factor. I have never been denied access once I discussed my requirements with Karla or Karlos.

Further I want to thank Karlos and his team for being open during the initial COVID19 shut down to assist those of us who needed supplies. I know it was not easy but the ordering and pick up was fast and easy.
Looking forward to many more years of doing business with Karlos

Had what I needed, Karlos should work in shipping and receiving. Not sure why he thinks he can treat people this way.

I have been to Karlos Building Supplies and unfortunately encountered the owner who was so rude and arrogant for no reason. I won’t be going back again ever and don’t recommend either.

KarLos Building Supplies has the cleanest stone and masonry yard ever. Very impressive how organized and complete it is. Plus they sell top brand products and tools that are hard to find elsewhere. Very helpful, knowledgeable and always efficient.

I am contractor owner of d&b landscape solution in Richmond hill and have been in business for a long time, we had the project in bradford so i searched for supplier in the area and carlos landscaping supplier was nearest supplier i was little hesitant to go there because of all this negative reviews but I decided to give it shot '', kayla at the desk was very helpful, and very polite, i received the fast and good service so i thought to write the review about this place, this people are hard working and kind and deserve the good review, I will definitely shop again from this place

On Monday May 15,2018. My husband and I went there. The old man also was very rude. He knew I was Italian, then started saying that he hates Italians, Whop's like he said, we thought he was joking and listened to him go on with his life story, as he hated them. We went into the office and his son also was very ignorant, and started yelling at us.and saying he also hates Italians and yelling at us. I was so dramatized by this I was in tears, I have never been treated like this before. There is a law not to discriminate, but he went on, and on. Please DO NOT SHOP at THIS COMPANY! It looks like he treats everyone bad to. This company deserves a -100 REVIEW!
