Katsuya

I submitted it on Wednesday evening and ate it… It’s been a long time since I ordered something… The amount has decreased significantly. The meat smells. The sweet potato cheese cutlet is soggy… Snow Chili Katsu is not topped with cheese, but just spilled. Sauces, soups, and dressings are salty. But the pickled radish was delicious.

Relaxing atmosphere and authentic katsudon. Recommend to all who misses the days of travelling in Japan and craves for crispy pork loin.

Tried the special katsu set. Totally love it. The food is cooked to perfection the pork katsu is not dry and the shrimp tempura is fenomenal. For sure will come again.

The food here taste really good, the ton katsu and tenpura is crispy and juicy at the same time, and the seats are very comfortable

First time here and I got the Katsuya set. It was a big and decent portion - everything was cooked really well! Would definitely come back.

After that, I asked for another bowl of rice to neutralize it.
(I ordered a chicken chop starting with rose, I forgot the specific name)

We ordered spicy garlic pork loin and sweet chili loin. The meal came with soup. The pork was tender and the sauce was flavourful but the rice was hard/chewy. Katsuya has a good selection or pork and chicken items. There is free parking in front of the restaurant but there are only a few spots available.

Got stomachache after eating food from here. Ordered chicken karaage, chicken does not seem fresh with strong smell and meat fall apart. Also ordered cheese crab croquettes, when you start eating and already fall apart, does not stay as a ball, taste not fresh at all. I have ordered many times from here and always have great experiences, But not this time. I hope you will improved your food quality and standard.

Delicious tonkatsu. I can eat several bowls of rice with the stuff. Try out the garlic spicy sauce!

Worst experience ever! I was excited to try their new menu, cold noodle. I saw a cook eating at the kitchen while I was waiting for almost 30 mins for the noodle! I saw her started cooking when I had an eye contact with her. They obviously forgot my order but never apologized. Noodle soup was mediocre. A half of the noodle was not fully cooked and ice was melted immediately I started eating. They should learn how to apologize when they serve food that shouldn't be served to a customer.

I was surprised. The salad vegetables are all changed in color and are used as they are.
I tried sweet potato and cheese pork cutlet, but it didn't seem like this until a while ago.

First time to visit and we loved it! First impression came really amazing because the atmosphere of the place is neat and simple. The menu is QR code, and there's photo of almost every meal. The wait time after ordering isn't too long but the food is hot and served fresh. We ordered different ones and the sauces were tasty and the katsu were crunchy at its best. Also lastly the servers were amazing, enthusiastic, and friendly.

Were definitely gonna come back!

Had dinner with siblings visiting. They didnt offer paper menus and just expected us to use the qr codes. Which is fine except the only person with internet on their phone was me. Imagine 3 hungry people trying to look at one menu at different times. I finally got fed up and went to get a menu from the counter.
The food took forever. It wasnt even full. Like, what are they doing back there? Slaughtering the animal first? One person ordered the garlic chips on katsu, DONT get that. The garlic pieces were stale so they werent even at the back frying up the garlic. How can you serve that to a paying customer. I tried a piece and it stuck to my teeth.
The portion sizes were good but one person asked for extra rice and the meal was almost done before they brought it over.
It was just a bad experience and I will never go back.
Do better!

I tried the cools noodle soup and Tekboeke katsu.
I arrived 11: 45am and the server said they only can take the order at 12pm but I can sit down. The katsu was good and the cool noodle was good at the first bite. However, as the ice sauce melted it become to salty. Also the cools noodles can’t be a cool noodle without the seaweed.
Hope you make the cool noodles with the seaweed and not salty.

Nice place to try Korean style food, I tried spicy chicken and it wa outstanding.but take care its so spicy

Their Japanese katsu was really good. If you like good old fashioned crispy tonkatsu this is the menu you want to go for. The portion is quite big too.

Amazing atmosphere, very nice customer service, and the original Katsuya dish is to very tasty!

Amazing food as always. Their katsus are super tender and crispy with a variety of great sauces. Highly recommend getting the croquettes also!

The food's great, and they accommodated a dietary restriction perfectly, with no fuss or trouble.

We tried to new menu. This food came with wonderful visual and good taste as well. It is spicy to me but I recommend spicy lovers.

I am an avid regular at Katsuya for almost all their locations, however, out of all their locations this one (North York) disappoints the most. The workers tend to be cold and unaccommodating. My order is never correct, and once I was told I had to pay for a sauce I didn't order just because they messed up my order and I asked for it to be corrected. They also put pork in a sauce that doesn't list pork as one of its ingredients and when I asked them to remake it as I cannot eat any due to religious reasons (and apologized for not asking) the waitress made it very clear that it was a huge inconvenience through her cold attitude and then brought me the remade sauce.that also had pork in it. Never apologized (in fact I apologized - again - because I was made to feel like a nuisance lol) or offered any compensation for the mistake, she just took the sauce and asked if I wanted a take out box instead and started cleaning up our table even though there was still food on my friends plates and the new plate in front of me. Needless to say I am disappointed because this is my favourite place to eat out but if they can't respect basic food restrictions then I will definitely not be visiting this location again.

Tried different curry dishes. The original is a bit on the the sweet side. Spicy one taste simply. Went in between the meals, not lot ppl there. The snack dish is only one.not like normal Korean restaurant.

The food was really good and the workers were very polite and helpful! Recommend it if you haven’t tried 10/10!
