Called about scheduling an appointment and the receptionist kept immediately interrupting me and if I paused for even a second they acted like I was a huge inconvenience

As many reviews state, this dentistry or at least certain dentists there only care about money. I myself have Diabetes (which they are aware of)
They have never once asked about my diabetes care or how my blood sugar is. This itself is very scary as these issues severely impact dental health, shameful Dr Ed Segura.

(Update, it’s been over a year, this review has accumulated 1700 views but they still haven’t found the need to respond to my complaint. Speaks volumes right there!)

This dentist office will openly make you feel like complete garbage infront of other staff and patients. Made me feel like a terrible person on 2 occasions. Don't waste your time.

This has been my regular dentist for over 13 years. Dr. Sokary fixed all my teeth when I was younger and I'm really thankful for that. One of the dental hygienist there that has changed the way I brush my teeth and low key changed my life. I take both my kids here and the staff is amazing with them. My son has autism and they go above and beyond to help meet his needs and make him comfortable. My son has been anesthetised upstairs and they communicate the process very well and the whole process always goes very smoothly and always runs on time. Dr. Sokary sees my son regularly as well. He's helped my son become a bit more comfortable with the dentist and we were able to try a lighter sedation for my son to get all his teeth cleaned with complete success, talking me through the entire process. The dental hygienist was really communicative and gentle with my sons cleaning, going above and beyond to make him comfortable. Recently my son had a dental scare and they rushed him in immediately. Even though there was nothing major wrong they reassured me to never feel bad for calling. They make you feel like family!

The dental hygienist Quiza was very impressive, and took great care. She was very understanding and thorough about all issues and the overall experience was pleasant.

Always a warm atmosphere with friendly staff that are very informative and a pleasure to do business with.

I HIGHLY SUGGEST TOO NOT GO TOO THIS PLACE EVER THEY COMPLETELY MESSED MY TEETH AND GOT VERY ANGRY WHEN ASKED TOO FIX THE SITUATION. DOCTOR IN THERE IS ABSOLUTELY DISGUSTING AND DISRESPECTFUL. VERY VERY DISAPPOINTED WITH THE SERVICE IN THERE. I personally can say they actually only have one amazing employee and she knows who she is and she deserve too be working in a much better work place than this!

I was referred to Kawartha Dental Clinic, read all the reviews and wondered.
This place runs like a well oiled machine.
No wonder they get upset if you miss an appointment.
They text to remind you a few days before, then text day of to remind you again an hour before and give full COVID protocol instructions.
Impressive, then they have a Treatment Plan Coordinator to fill the gap between, dentist and receptionist,
She refers you to the dentist best suited for your dental needs, then looks after quotes and billing.
Why doesn’t every dental office have this, great idea, for clients.
Then as a bonus they bill direct to Insurance company.
Not to mention the dentist and dental assistant were knowledgeable and pleasant.
Best experience I’ve ever had at a Dentist office in my life, and a Dentist Office is my least favourite place to visit.

Very trans unfriendly.if you do not like anything different about gender this might become your favorite dental clinic.

My experiences at this clinic with all staff has been exceptional. They are always polite and efficient, compassionate and kind. I highly recommend them.

I am unbelievably impressed with how kind and caring the staff was and their best efforts to make my son feel comfortable before his anesthesia this morning. They are by far the best dentistry we have been to!

Just amazing staff! The dental hygienists were so nice the dentist was great! I had to get a tooth pulled and they talked through every step with me which made it much more bearable. I will definitely keep coming back!

I wont blame the staff since the building is old but Id like to feel clean when I leave and the atmosphere here is old and nasty. Water marks and just the age of the building shows.
Also made me wait 20 minutes for my appointment.

I suffer from severe depression - i made this known several times during my visits during which I paid hundreds of dollars to the clinic. I no-showed as a result of my depression and have been "dismissed" from the clinic as a result. Cold, heartless people. One star and a hearty F u.

My daughter had an emergency with one of her wisdom teeth. Our dentist (at the time) didn’t take wisdom teeth out. I heard great things about Dr. Ed Segura. We got an appt the next day and i have to say we were beyond happy. Dr. Segura has a great bedside manor, funny sense of humour and very professional. My daughter was so scared going into this appt and left with a smile on her face even after having her tooth extracted. She was so thankful. His staff was wonderful to deal with and made us feel like we had been patients forever. Before we left i asked if he would be willing to take on my family of four.i was that impressed with everything. I refer him anytime i hear someone in need of a dentist.

After 8 years of being self-conscious, hiding my smile because of all the chips in my front teeth, today Dr Segura and his incredible clinical assistant gave me a whole new smile. One Im going to be happy to show off. Not only are they excellent at what they do but they excel in how they do it. Always friendly and welcoming. Pros at dealing with patients who have dental anxiety and can make the whole thing feel easy and anxiety free. Im very grateful to those at Kawartha Dental Clinic for always being amazing and Dr. Segura for giving me back my smile Ive gone here for years now. All 4 wisdom teeth were taken out by Dr Segura as well. I developed an infection in one and got an emergency appointment with another dentist within a few hours. They always go so far above and beyond! Thank you!

Opened the phonebook to find a dentist for my tooth hurting. Turned away because I was on O. W. As the lady on the phone said "they met their quota of O. W".

My son had some teeth extracted this was his first dentist appointment where they were able to see his teeth and do X-rays I have to say over all I was vary satisfied with the care of him the staff are vary welcoming and friendly n for the most caring but I have to say the anesthesiologist could have a better attitude towards parents n be more caring and maybe not say things like how dose he behave with other children just because he has some anxiety towards doctors do to medical history and tends yell and fight for them not touch him I do believe that has nothing to do with the situation that was at hand anyways he wouldn't be playing with any other children well he's there! N aslo possibly a better attitude when a parent says oh I cant stay n not say no what are you going to do stand there cry in a very mean way but again I was vary satisfied with the staff n care of my baby the anesthesiologist just needs a better attitude towards things I think

Ive been a patient for dozens of dentists over many years and I can tell you with 100% certainty that Dr Sanei at Kawartha Dental Clinic is by far the best.
On a tooth I needed fixed I'd heard everything from "yea but only cosmetically you can never chew on it" to a straight "no cant be fixed you have to have a $4000 dental implant". Then I booked with Dr Sanei whos respose was simply "Yes I can fix that".
Not only do his skills surpass all others but here we have a dentist who genuinely cares about his patients. You can easily tell hes not your typical (in it for the money) dentist. You might not get an appointment quickly due to his popularity but trust me he is well worth any wait.

Dr Zeiler is great and Sue has been wonderful with helping to arrange surgery after a large dental Dept in a Toronto hospital turned me away (after waiting months for a consult and being very disappointed.) I have complex health issues and KDC have been really good with 2 past surgeries. Dr Zeiler probably saved two of my teeth from needing extraction. My first cleaning with Jamie was better then expected. She was compassionate and worked around my back pain (paper towel roll who knew thx!). It’s a busy office so patience is sometimes needed on both sides but I’ve been to many (many) medical clinics and this normal. Dr Lau was my dentist for years (still my husband’s) and he referred me to Dr Zeiler for surgery with confidence. Both are well run practices and two of the best in Peterborough IMO.

It’s a great dental office. Dr Zeiler is probably the best and nicest dentist I have ever visited. Calm, patient.knowledgeable.just an all round nice guy.
I hate going to the dentist like most, but this office and Dr Zeiler in particular is great.

I have experienced nothing but great, friendly service since coming here for the last 15 years. I have come to know many staff by their first name and my kids refer to their dentist as Dr. Ed. He is very approachable, informative and has a great sense of humour!

I’ve been a customer or client for two years. The dentist I was seeing at this practice left. I was given another dentist.

I have a major tooth ache as I broke one of my teeth. I went in five days after calling for help. They had no intention on fixing my tooth. They just wanted an assessment and assessment charge. They would get back to me at another date.

The communication between the front desk and the dentist is poor at best. It seems like the almighty dollar is more important than the client. For this reason I have to switch to another practice.

Be careful, they are not as caring as they promote.

Today’s visit felt like coming home. I haven’t been to this clinic in 14 years as I live out of town. It felt as if I never left. Dr. Sanei took the time to explain everything that he saw, gave me a mirror so I could see and understand what he was talking about. I feel relief to finally have some answers about my concerns. I’m looking forward to coming back, it’s worth a commute for great treatment. Thank you!

As someone who never has been overly comfortable about going to the dentist, Kawartha Dental Clinic has converted me! I have always had a wonderful experience every time I've been in. As our family has grown they have always been so accommodating. Can't speak highly enough.

Horrible experience due to Dr. Sinai. Dont ever argue with your dentist cause he will cancel your root canal appointment. Hope he loses his job.

Dr Zhang has put me through terrible pain and cost, I pay for all my dental work out of pocket.

I went in for a cleaning feeling fine, Zhang tells me I have 3 cavities even though I felt nothing.

He decided to fill a tooth the other dentist said not to, a week later its infected and extremely painful.

They first tell me I have to wait 3 days to come in after not being able to close my mouth due to pain.

Then they say come in an hour.

Then they start charging me again.

I now have to pay to let them "look" at what they did to me.

Then I have to pay for antibiotics.

Then I have to pay to have the same tooth that was just filled pulled.

You destroyed my mouth and now I have to pay more to have them fixed.

I feel taken advantage of, maybe people think it's ok because their insurance covers it, but it is not acceptable.

I really hope they decide to take responsibility for their actions and make it right.

On time appointment. Friendly, professional and knowledgeable dental techs and support staff. I really appreciate the staff who have been there long enough to greet me by name. They create a welcoming environment and deliver exceptional customer service.

They canceled a dental surgery on my son 2 times in a row pushing it back months at a time. Hes 9 years old and has an abscessed tooth and 2 baby teeth trapping his adult teeth under them. He needs to have extractions done asap and they have left us waiting almost 4 months for help. It's going to cause permanent damage to his adult teeth under if I cant find another dentist to help him. This place really caused my family a lot of pain. This kind of procedure can not wait and his future smile will suffer greatly because of this office.

This is a great place to go! Our whole family goes (Dr. Sanei and Dr. Rai are amazing!) Anyone who needs a dentist we recommend them to go here. Open on Saturdays and some evenings!

Very efficient and friendly. If you do not have a dental plan, they also give a discount. Like the computer email system for reminders.

Everyone here is so helpful and kind. Seriously. I didn't even have an appointment last weekend, but wanted to get a sensitive tooth checked out. I came by the clinic to see if anyone had time, and i was checked out and the problem dealt with effectively - within half an hour. The staff from all ends are friendly and understand the stress that can come with dental work. Thank you for making me feel so welcomed and taken care of!
