Kennedy Greenhouses

I thought long and hard about whether or not if I should write this review. I really didn't want to waste anymore energy on this, but the sight of my wife's face, it left me with anger.

I will start by saying that my wife has always ENJOYED going to KG. She has always had a bright smile when she talks about KG. Until now! She had purchased a few flowers and other products last week that they must have mislabeled. She figured that she could go back the following week which is today to do an exchange. Oh Boy, were we mistaken. The lady who handled her at the register gave her an ear-full. I know my wife can be difficult but I know when she is in a public setting she is very reserved and calm to say the least. The lady really demoralized her to the point that she told me that she will never go back to her favourite Farm. (think about that about for a moment). Of course we all know that this Covid-19 situation has made things difficult for most businesses, but I couldn't believe what my wife was telling me. I won't repeat what was said only that the last few words from the employee was "YOU CAN LEAVE NOW! "

I don't like to side with my wife often but she was obviously distraught when she tells me that she no longer wants to visit her favourite Farm. So I decided to call in to speak with the owner named PHYLLIS. Lo and behold the staff member who was attending to my spouse was (the same person) her as she explained - I would listen and not interrupt. When I let her finish speaking.it was my turn right? Well after a few interruptions. I have deduced that this part owner lied boldly to my face saying that she didn't know my wife just wanted an exchange and that she had explained that to her she would have obliged. I have also deduced that when it comes to spending money at this Farm they are VERY VERY VERY happy when you do, and when you want to simply bring something back because they mislabelled an item, the tables suddenly turn for the worst as if the world is about to end.

To my end. I am upset that my wife was mistreated, that I was bold faced lied to by an owner of this establishment. There is a positive and that is I will no longer need to drive my wife to this Farm and for to spend her money there.

After writing my review, It appears that other recent CUSTOMERS are getting the same treatment. Their loss is another farms gain.

P. S. I had so much more to write but I figured I got this off my chest and my point across. If I could leave a 0 star I would.

I have been going to Kennedy greenhouses for several years now. And I have no intention of going anywhere else. Not only do they have by far the best selection, everything you buy from there is extremely healthy and well looked after. A lot of big box stores, half the time the plants aren't even watered. But what I love most about going there, is the staff. Incredibly friendly, extremely helpful, and very knowledgeable. If I ever have a question about a particular plant or something, I get an answer right away. Whenever I go, they always help me to my car with everything I bought. I guarantee you, if you go to Kennedy greenhouses, you will never go anywhere else again.

Excellent green house with a great selection. Knowledgeable, helpful staff. Had people to help direct parking during busy times. Definitely a good green house to visit.

I came to Kennedy Greenhouses last week, and had the best experience. After going to other greenhouses such as Sheridan, and Valleyview, the employees were by far the most respectful. I’m not sure about the previous reviews I read on this page, but I was treated amazingly by the staff, who took their time to get me the best plants possible, with no rushing involved (given it was late it in day). I was treated with nothing but patience and kindness, I hope this review makes it to the staff members at all positions as a big thank you for their help.

Garden Center is beautiful, but their closing times are not accurate. They start rushing people out about 30 minutes before close… which is unfortunate if you have travelled far to get here and then realize they lied on their opening times. It would have been a far better experience shopping here if it weren’t for the pushy staff trying to get everyone out 15 minutes before close to lock the gates.

One of the best garden centres in southern Ontario. Lots of selection. Lots of mixed pots that the others don’t seem to offer anymore. Efficient, helpful staff.

Fantastic selection of plants, shrubs and flowers. Friendly service and good pricing.

Gorgeous plants and flowers at Kennedy Greenhouse. Plants are always healthy and grows well. Price could be a bit better.

I went in to pick up a few plants that were ordered for me from Carnegie Mellon University/Phipps Conservatory and Botanical Gardens for a camp my daughter was a part of. I was pleased and grateful to see all necessary measures were taken to keep the community safe of Covid-19. The interaction was quick and easy; they had my order ready to go. When I went to pay, to my surprise, Bella (I assume is the owner) told me that it was their donation to my daughter. It was probably about $50 worth of plants. She said she supported my daughter's eagerness to learn and that it was her pleasure to donate it.

They didn't have everything I was looking for, but it is a good selection with attentive staff.

I don't know where to start but I'll try my best. I had such a pleasant experience at this nursery I can't put in words how happy I walked out of there. All plants are taken care individually with love they were flawless. Place was so neat nothing but positive energy. Owners are just so kind and loving people I have never met in my life especially Bella! I can't thank you enough for everything! I'm so sorry I couldn't return with Lola today but this is my new favorite nursery to shop from now on so Lola will be back for sure! Wishing you lots of success in your business, life filled with nothing but joy and happiness! Love Taginah~

All you expect and then some! Excellent selection of every plant conceivable. Incredibly knowledgeable staff. Super friendly and very helpful.
Their Instagram shows only the tip of the iceberg.

Make sure you dress warm and wear boots
These are greenhouses only
No extra roofs no extra heat
If it's raining, you get wet! Lol
Regardless - worth every penny of purchases as these plants are well maintained, hearty and a great buy!

We have been going to Kennedy Greenhouses for 20 years because they have the best hanging baskets (awesome!), bedding plants, herbs, and hot pepper plants in southern Ontario. Phil, Joe, Carlo, and their staff always provide knowledgable, helpful, and friendly service.

We have been coming here for years! Phyllis, Joe and Carlo are very knowledgeable. Amazing baskets for all seasons! Highly recommend Kennedy Greenhouses, don't waste your time going anywhere else!
