Ketchum House was the perfect place for our weekend get-away. It's a lovely home; so bright and cozy, in a gorgeous natural setting (including great viewing of the sun setting over the Hockley Valley). You'd never know you were only an hour north of Toronto! The house is also very handy to Bruce Trail hiking paths (hiking is what we were after). What's really cool is that the house is off-grid, and staying there is a chance to see just how easy and comfortable off-grid living can be. Bill is a great host; very personable, with lots of good info.

If you’re looking to disconnect from every day life, find peace and enjoy an off-grid experience this home is worth a visit. We truly embraced the intention of the home and enjoyed the surrounding area. It’s private, clean and fully equipped for living. We enjoyed the outdoor space, made meals over the bonfire, went to bed with the sunset and woke up with the sunrise. We will definitely be visiting the home again.

Visiting Ketchum house is an eye-opening and possibly life-changing experience. While not all of the sustainability options may be available in your own home, there are small every day choices you can make to secure a cleaner future for this planet. The commitment that Bill and his wife have to the environment is uplifting and inspirational. I would highly recommend a tour here, or staying here as an AIrBnb. The view is also gorgeous.
