Cheap price for the portion of food. Also, the food was really tasty
Highly recommended!

They didn't have the popular deep fried pig intestines at this location for some reason.

Our go-to place for comfort Chinese food in Markham!

We’ve been going to Keung Kee Congee for nearly 20 years! Whenever we’re in Toronto, this is a must go restaurant for us

Food is always awesome, taste and portion adequate, but service has always been efficient but business-like, no smiles and no small talks. Even at 8 pm, there is always a queue waiting at the door.

Highly recommend for the comfort Chinese food.

Singapore noodle was horrible. Blend and the noodles should be vermicelli. What happened to this place?

Pork liver congee was 7/10, fried dough was 8/10.

We were there for afternoon tea around 3: 45, wait for almost 20 minutes for our ordered food. The restaurant was not busy not sure why need to wait.

Came to this place this afternoon around 12: 30pm and it wasn't very busy but still had to wait 15 minutes before a waitress took our order. We had the tendon/brisket soup noodle which was very good. However, the attached picture was the Baked Pepper Crispy Chicken on rice which was absolutely horrible as it was NOT a baked rice dish and the crispy chicken was FAR FROM CRISPY. I actually timed the waiting time for a tea pot refill and after 20 minutes, we gave up and asked for the bill. Service was horrible as all the waitresses pretended not to see us lol. Observed them standing around and clearing tables at a very, very slow pace. Watched a couple wait by the door to be seated and after 10 minutes, they left because no one bothered to seat them even though there were tables available.

Soup noodle was pretty good, baked rice was garbage and service is as bad as the garbage rice. Not going to be returning to this place anytime soon.

Portions were ok. Taste ok. But one dish we ordered the seafood udon literally tastes like nothing. Looks like they boiled it all then stir fried it in oil and forgot the msg or salt or any seasoning.

Loads of different varieties to choose from. Also good place for afternoon tea for they have many kinds of afternoon specials. Service is not the best, only quite good. After all, it’s a spacious restaurant for breakfast, brunch, afternoon tea, and dinner.

Keung Kee is a staple in the Chinese Restaurant world. Always fresh and hot foods with generous portion sizes

Their menu is massive to say the least, consisting of two booklets of choices. You gotta try their affordable afternoon tea menu as well!

Their signature congee is delicious (don't forget to sprinkle some white pepper for taste and order a side of fried dough fritter for that perfect pairing) and also try my favourite dish, the Minced Chicken and Salted Fish Fried Rice!

The restaurant itself is big enough that you shouldn't need to wait too long, or at all, to get seated. They're usually pretty busy which is a slight detriment to the service levels. If you ask for something and you don't see it happening, just raise your hand and flag down a different server to get it done!

Warning, the place blasts air conditioning so either avoid the booths (which are just under all the vents) or sit in the center area. I was so cold i had to go get my jacket when it was 26-28c outside.

Foods are generally good. Service is so-so.
I ordered a few dishes, some are good (beef internal delicacies, pork holt) some are superb (Deep-Fried Crispy Milk Pudding)
Some are so-so and some are not good (shrimp dumpling and wonton).
I ordered XO source fried turnip Pattie’s but it appears they gave me the Singaporean style fried turnip Pattie’s.
My receipt was also XO source. If they didn’t make a mistake, then the two were so resemblance which is wrong.

Definately not a 3.8 but a 4+ for food quality and value for money. Conjee serving is great and recommend item 101 seafood conjee loaded with duck, chicken mushrooms while the stir fried lobster with E fu noodle is also a great choice. The place is always crowded at peak times which is a good indicator of popularity because Chinese don't mess around. Only minus is its a bit chaotic while wait staff don't speak much English which I guess is what one can expect at rush times and being a place which caters to its mainly Chinese clientele.

The afternoon set was really good value. Had a cheung fun, fried tofu, wonton soup noodles and they are all great. The shop was big and not very busy. Friendly service. Would recommend for an easy meal or quick snack.

One of the rare one that doesn't increase the price with big jump.
Quality & quantity are similar to 10 years ago

Ordered the cantonese chow mein, XO turnip cake, broccoli beef, calamari, and the pork bone soup with mustard green. Every dish had great flavour except for the calamari which arrived undercooked. They fried it some more instead of remaking it for us.

Would give them zero stars if I could. The service is AWFUL. They never pay attention to anything you say or order. It’s like they have two left feet, always so clumsy. Sat here for an hour with dirty dishes in front of me and they always cleared the tables of everyone but ours. I even placed the plates on the outside for them to take away and they never did. All they did was walk pass and ignore. Save your money and go somewhere else.

Amazing food with big portions! Love the fried rice noodles with beef and Cantonese chow mein here. Strongly recommended. Follow me on Instagram for more food adventures at @maggielicious.to

Food was very tasty. Best dishes were the shrimp with maggi sauce, fried chilli turnip patties, and deep salt and pepper fried squid.

Food is pretty good, I come with my family a lot:) if it’s quick busy, food may take a while to come out, but totally understandable. Nice place to have family dinner.

Their food is always delicious, price is always reasonable, portions are good.

A place I always enjoy bringing family to.

12/2020: updated review. Still a decent faire of food. Prices are still very reasonable given current pandemic situations. Certain items are not available on the menu. Good portions to price. Where else can you get a five spice beef noodle for $6.50? !?

3/2020: The usual fare of Cantonese style Chinese food. It's not bad, certain items are better than others. Pricewise, it's ok. Personally, it's good for larger groups. The signature dishes below were pretty good. Location has ample parking.

In the 35 years I’ve lived in Canada. I’ve never felt discriminated upon until when we tried to eat here. My daughter and I went in to dine since the restaurant doesn’t look full. We were standing there and the 2 servers wouldn’t even acknowledge us. We were waving at them signalling that we’d like to eat. The male server even passed us so many times until I made big signals that he can’t ignore. He immediately started to shake his hands and head. So we just left thinking maybe they are at capacity even tho there were only two tables occupied. We ended up eating at the rice noodle place across from them, which was a blessing btw, that Yunshang rice noodle is awesome! When we left the restaurant and went back to our car which was parked in front of Keung Kee Congee, we saw that the restaurant was full of customers, so we gathered it wasn’t because they weren’t able to sit us, it was because they did not want to serve us. What a shame!

At the west entrance of Warden Centre, this is our go to place when the family's in Markham. Pricing is very reasonable, service is quick and Cantonese food is great. High Tea Special is between 3: 00 pm to 5: 30 pm. Great deals if you have an early dinner.
19 April 2020 3:43
This is an average quality restaurant with moderate price. Service also average. Portions are slightly smaller than average. If you factor the portion size into price, it is a moderate pricey restaurant. The place is relatively clean and spacious, and the serving speed is fast. It is inside a very busy Asian plaza. This place is suitable when you feel you don't want to cook and just want to have a quick easy meal. Nothing fancy.

Worst place I’ve ever eat. As well the service isn’t good, the staff aren’t even smiling to you. I don’t recommend it.
24 March 2020 4:49
Very yummy Chinese restaurant, there’s a line-up but worth the wait. I always order the tofu wit sweet ginger syrup for dessert.
21 March 2020 15:59
Worst place to eat ever. Staff were unprofessional and did not even greet you. During the whole meal the staff were busy talking to each other rather than helping customers. Threw the receipt down and made a mistake on my receipt. Never coming back to this establishment after the unprofessionalism I experienced today. If I could give the store a negative star I would’ve. Never coming back again.
18 February 2020 7:30
The portions are larger than most other Chinese restaurants serve. Service wasn't too bad. Been coming to this place for many years.
28 January 2020 5:05
A very popular sushi AYCE restaurant. Be aware like most AYCE locations that the second or later orders come more slowly so get what you want on the first order.
04 December 2019 21:23
Worse attitude I ever had, missed an order, and they argued with us, they gave our order to another customer and denied it.
08 October 2019 14:28
I think its now called Keung Kee Congee. Anyway the congee and sweet and sour pork were very good. However you should check other websites for the history of this restaurant.
26 September 2019 16:26
This place is often busy during lunch and dinner time, especially on the weekends. Service is average, and food is, hit or miss where I've had some good items and some that are meh. So if you find something that suits your taste, it's usually a safe bet. Their staple is the mustard greens pork bone soup and chicken casserole rice. Prices for the portion sizes usually offer good value, but some items are not good value (clams). Plenty of free parking outside, but with the number of eateries and the supermarket in the same plaza, it's usually packed and difficult to find parking.
10 September 2019 5:59
Food was mediocre, dirty tables, long wait times, staff was inattentive and we had to ask repeatedly just to get another side plate.
17 August 2019 7:47
I really like the dishes here, especially the rice and lor bak go (turnip/daikon radish cake?). Usually there are a lot of people on weekend nights and you may have to wait. Prices are standard.

The decor is quite modern and clean. Some staffs are nice and we ordered a lot food today which included the fried chili turnip patties, pepper mustard green soup hotpot, fried fish balls and fried wonton with sweet and sour shrimp sauce. The fried fish balls were not cooked fully at first, so we asked the dish to be fried again. The pepper mustard green soup was quite good. The fried chili turnip patties was kind of a let down because it was really soft and mushy, not crispy on outside at all. The fried wonton was really good with tasty sweet and sour shrimp (seafood) sauce. I like the icecream red bean drink too. Not a bad place to go if you are looking for food with a lower price tag

Restaurant is always busy but the service is fast and food is tasty.

The fried milk cubes are yummy, and their hot milk tea aroma is great!

Probably not ideal for larger party dining but typical spot to grab a bite for about five people or less. Tried the pork bone soup last time which was huge and flavourful. Apparently good for general health too.

Would recommend for that "fast-food" Chinese restaurant type of cuisine.
