I am currently still studying in Khalsa School, I know teachers can be rude at times but I know the reason why and the reason why there is so much home work. From what I know parents ask for extra homework or the kids do nothing at home in my opinion kids should be put in extra circulors so there busy but they should still have some time to do hw

After 13+ years in this school, i can say that my experience was pretty good. I was taught by many great teachers such as Mr. Singh, Ms. Sachdev, Ms. Khalon, etc. Many teachers get a bad wrap despite being good mentors to young students. For example Ms. Harman is a teacher who in my opinion is a good straight forward teacher. She holds no biases unlike many teachers, which is something i really appreciate. Even though i had some ups and downs with teachers in this school, I can say that this school is not bad. I would prefer if they could however be more strict in punishing and holding kids accountable when they are caught doing things they aren't suppose to. The school has seen a bit of a decline the last couple of years but the school cant be 100% at fault since Covid played a huge role in everything being pushed back. However everything has its goods and bad and overall I really enjoyed the time i spent in this school.

Both my kids have been there for so long and i love this school.the teachers are so nice and caring and my kids want to stay till grade 12.

This school is the best because it teaches students more elaborately and when learning teachers involve our daily life in the subject. The principal Mr Grewal is a very nine man and he put his hard work to make this school and find all the teachers and staff members. The trips, projects and assignments are very fun and I don’t get a lot of homework and a every time I get homework it is very easy.

This school is so messed up. The teachers are alright.the work they give is too much tho. In the last month of school they gave around 20 assignments + exams. There many other problems with school like limited facilities and limited courses for high school. Also the school is very crowded and needs to expand. Only go to this school if you are very serious about education.

I have been here for 7 years and i am currently in grade 5 and it is the best grade of them all. Some of the teachers are nice and that includes Ms. Sachdev the nicest from them all.
05 August 2022 10:24
This is school is horrible, like the teachers don't care about our education, they said that to our face while they make us feel like we are doing something illegal by going through our bags and inspecting our lunch during covid times. The teachers took away our motivation for hardworking which were the awards because of some students. The awards were one thing every student wanted to achieve and they did not respect our hard work and got rid of it. They do not allow most online students to do the exam making it very inconvenient and hard for them. They get mad when we tell our parents who are PAYING 10K certain things that happened in the school. Really bad school.

Honestly, at first, I thought the teachers were fine (Mr. Sharma being one of the best examples). Although, overtime, other students would cross lines, then blame the ENTIRE class, where everyone must suffer to be fair. I mean like, if those specific people are doing these insane things, then what about the innocent, treated like guilty by-standers. How is that fair? Even banning awards for Grade 8 graduation. Now isn’t that much. Also, some conditions aren’t great. They had to decrease the soccer field for a basketball court, but the nets are all tilted and tipped. The curriculum could also be better, because some units overlap with others.

My Favourite teacher in this school is Mrs. Sachdev shes so nice! All the teachers in this school are amazing and Mr. Grewal sacrificed alot for this school so appreciate it!: D

Best School, best teachers. Plz do not compare this school with any other school. If anybody has any concerns call Mr. Grewal. Instead of putting your frustration in review, find what are the benefits of our Sikh community school, you learn Punjabi, Gurmit, kirtan and so many extra curriculum activities. Teachers go extra miles to teach our kids. Look at Mrs. Boparai she is dedicated person knows all from her heart and always helps you. Thank you.

Real great school the high school upstairs is pretty nice the science lab is good and the upstairs washroom is a portable size bathroom which i do like and the teachers are great they do give a lot of homework but they do want you to achieve good marks Mr. Sharma is a great teacher he always motivates me and finds different ways to help me. The extra curricular activates are good Aswell and i love the high school upstairs though the classes for 9-12 are short in rooms but the lockers, upstairs bathroom, science lab are really great and I do like how they make us bring our own notebooks to school I LOVE THIS SCHOOL

11 years ago I was in grade 6 in Ms. Harman's class and she told me I'll never amount to anything and my good marks at the time were due to being "gifted" and I'll eventually fail if i choose to go to university. I also had an older sister who heard similar things from Ms. Harman. She somehow told my sister that she acted a certain way due to being neglected by her parents (not true, who even says this to a child in elementary school anyways?). Anyways I just graduated with my Bachelors of Science with a 3.9 gpa.
The teachers also have their favourites who can get away with incomplete homework, slight misbehaviour, not being on time, etc. For the same things, other students are given unreasonable punishments including their parents being forced to leave work to come to the school, or being locked outdoors (even while it's raining/snowing).
From reading some reviews, I can tell that the school has not changed much.
Parents, please don't send your kids here, you'll ruin their childhoods.

Honestly i had gone to this school for 9 yrs of my life. Few of my yrs at this school weren't the best. But, the school overall is amazing, teaching you about the sikh relegion. But, the teachers weren't so nice, they made me stand outside in the cold knowing it could get me sick. Teachers at this school would judge you off of your siblings most of the time.
05 May 2020 14:00
Best school I have ever been to. The teachers push you to your limit. Mrs. Sachdev is the best teacher I have ever had.
17 February 2020 20:55
I have not seen in any other school staff that good and dedicated. Teachers and all other staff they are the best and best administration. All credit goes to all staff and administration. I especially want to thank all bus drivers. I feel so good when I got to know all this and I saw with my own eyes whatever is I heard about this school is 200 % correct. Thanks a lot. KCS is the best.

Best school. One thing I noticed if you are good you think other people are good, whatever you are that your mind giving and rating other people and institutional places. Be a human and solve your problem by discussing not by putting your dirty thoughts or anger of something on other people. All problems have solutions. Me, me, my privacy, my this, my that, does not always work think in real life. I am so proud that our community has a very good and best school. Think if you can do something good for your community then talk. Always good to talk, but try to talk or do good. Do not act like a video gamers. At the end I want to say KCS is KCS. Thank you KCS.

KCS is one of the best schools in Ontario. The school has many lovely teachers like Mrs. Sachdev, Mrs. Bhogal (former teacher), Mrs. Harman Mr Aulakh) former teacher), and Mr. Bains. Moreover, this school is like a home outside of home Consistently, the school has been making the Fraser Reports top 20 schools in Canada, and has been teaching students about the Sikh religion. As a student who studies there, I recommend this school to you. Facts are facts, and this school will all ways be one of the best!
11 October 2019 11:10
Ms. Kahlon (3a teacher) is the best teacher ever! She did so many activities and helped us out in studies so much! I also like Ms. Rai. (2A teacher)
29 August 2019 17:34
WORST school ever. The high school isnt proper at all and grade 10 learns in the hallways and in other rooms. DO NOT COME HERE. BIG WASTE OF MONEY.
01 August 2019 3:12
The best institute in Ontario. My kids are in Khalsa community school since 2010. Results and the performance of your children you can see on report cards and knowledge you can check too. Khalsa school always took them on educational tours. Teaching staff is so dedicated. For me it’s part of my family. Do not think like if I am related to Mr. Grewal, I am not, but he is the the best administrator I ever met. I saw people put negative reviews, All staff and Mr. Grewal you can approach them any time, any issue you talk to them, you do not need to waste your energy on this high tech negative technology. Go Organic, Stay organic, Eat organic, think positive. One thing I forgot they have dedicated school bus drivers. Amazingly good. All credit goes to staff and management.
17 July 2019 20:08
Best school in Ontario, all teachers and bus drivers and all staff so dedicated. I can count on Mrs. Gill, Mrs. Mand, , Miss Bathal, Mrs. Waraich, Mrs.lottay, Mrs. Dhillon, and so many more, all Punjabi teachers, and math teachers, French teacher Miss Khalsa is one of the best ones, others I do not know names, kirtan teachers Mr. Singh and all Madam’s, if I am going to write names of the staff it’s going to be long list. Mr. Grewal administer I do not have words to write for him. Any time you can approach him. Thanks. 100 % recommended this school.

(2019) each person has a utopia, where everything is perfect. Those that are really serious about education locate their utopia in schools.when it comes to education kcs is a dream come true.the staff is extremely dedicated and efficient.i am a girl who started this school in Grade two and i am currently in Grade 5, Mrs. Sachdev's class.the curriculum is incredibly interesting, especially the grade 5 curriculum.before kcs, i was lost, and i did not know what the purpose of my life was.going to khalsa community school told me the purpose of my life.kcs allows you to immerse into your culture, and it shows a whole new world.it is astounding how the teachers always add some color to what we are learning, making it enticing.this is what i thought of each grade:
grade 2: a year to make new friends and to catch up
grade 3: a year in which learning was as fun as playing
grade 4: a year in which you found yourself as smart as can be
grade 5: the best year ever!
i highly recommend this school.i wanted to be a writer for my career and because of kcs, my writing has flourished over the years.if you want your child to become very successful in life, get them an admission in Khalsa Community School

Nobody likes school but there are some grades and teachers that stand out and make school days memorable, apart from the friends we make. I really liked grade 5 the best. It was the grade that always had plenty of activities, especially the trips. Ms. Sachdev took us to Ottawa and Great Wolf Lodge and it was a super experience as I was with class friends. Even my neighborhood friends and cousins got jealous, as it was something beyond sleepovers. She was my favourite teacher.
16 June 2019 10:18
Grade 5A is the best. Ms. Sachdev had introduced so many activities for this grade that it is heartening to see that they are still happening. I was in her class in about 8 years ago and I remember that we couldn't wait to get into grade 5 as it was the only grade that took kids to Ottawa and Great Wolf Lodge. Both were night-out trips which we spent in hotels/resorts. Awesome fun. Ms. Sachdev also has a very democratic style of teaching and it's surprising how we assessed our own consequences if homework or other assignments weren't done. It made us feel responsible and bold, not cry-baby kids who hide behind their parents. Khalsa Idol was cool too - another one of her great ideas.

Terrible school couldn't wait to leave. The french teacher garbed my hair and my friends ear and the principle did nothing about it. The Punjabi teachers are terrible do not recommend this school
Washrooms are in terrible condition so dirty

The experience I've had at this school is to be never forgotten (in an extremely negative way). The class sizes are almost double the size of public school classroom sizes. There is a minimum amount of WORKING and USEABLE equipment/tools for the students to use. There is no guidance councillor for students bellow grade 9. The amount of work that is given at this school is overwhelming. And no, I'm not complaining because I'm lazy. Some of the teachers are actually quite nice such as the kirtan/punjabi teachers who've been teaching here for a while (not the newer ones). Other teachers, well, aren't certified, can't speak English properly, and use YouTube videos regularly to teach the class. And they call us lazy! Many of the teachers, starting grade 3 have a very bad habit of yelling at their students. This is something that happens regularly. They do not know how to compromise. Also, A LOT of the teachers are very nosy. Teachers like Mrs. Multani (shes the gym teacher), may seem nice but she talks about students to other students. Unnecessary and unfortunately, this promotes a culture of gossip and back talk (which is also a VERY BIG ISSUE). If you are a parent reading this, please reconsider and put your child in another private school. Yes, you may come here for the religious teachings, but, these teaching can be taught from the Gurdwara, Grandparents, and even you. Overall, this school has a good philosophy but need MANY changes with staff, equipment, and the overall infrastructure.

In this school I had great experience.it really helped me in subjects I was struggling in. In this school the teacher's actually care about you and your marks, but in other pubic schools the teachers don't even care of how you are doing.they don't even give homework, so kids don't get practice and forget what they learned. This school prepares children for high school, university, and for getting a good job and future. It makes children have a strong base.even though it is expensive, I think the school is worth it. Khalsa Community School is very great academically and you should put your children there. They are trying to make the school bigger by 2020.the only negative is that the gym is smaller than other schools and there are no libraries. If you send your children to this school, despite not having a library, they have many textbooks and some classes even have a book shelf with books in it so children can read.also, there are readers of the month that the teacher picks, who read most often and they get a book from the school.the field trips of this school are awesome! So, you should send your children to this school.

I was just watching them from a few days, oh man very dedicated staff, organized way to the way parents drop off kids and teachers are on duty. Amazing.

Best school in our town, some people have no common sense and they wrote reviews for nothing, and I saw some reviews have no sense without any issues they are writing it up l may be they are from other businesses and just have nothing else to do other than putting bad reviews.my kids are in this school and I can tell that all the teachers are the best like Mrs. Gill, Mrs. Lotay. Mrs. Mand, Ms. Bhattal. Mrs. Singh, Mr. BAINS. Mr. Aulakh, Mrs. DHALIWAL, , Mrs Dhillon, Mrs. Kshlon, Mr. C, Mrs. Multani and so many other teachers and lady at reception Mrs. Obrai, and all the bus driver madams. I have whole lot of reasons to tell you that how this schools is the best. Mr. Grewal is the best administrator who takes care of every thing when it’s brought in his notice. Thank you to all of you.
28 March 2019 3:27
Was it really important for the school to be open in this snow storm whereas schools and buses elsewhere were cancelled? The incompetence of Mr Grewal and Ms Harman really showed today.

School had to go on because of exams. Exams that could have been rescheduled. You both have caused inconvenience to many parents today, some probably driving from work, due to cancellation of buses in the afternoon.

I am and maybe there are more parents who are really disappointed with the management of the school today.
