The food is incredible and the attention of Mann and Parth is perfect, they are very friendly.

A small place with a great menu. We got the lunch special with a side of chicken. Simple ingredients and fast service. Highly recommend to anyone who needs a quick lunch!

Ordered the Veggie Hakka Noodles, Veggie Chili Garlic Fried Rice and Manchurian Fish. Delicious and will definitely again.

Dine In - can get stuffy with the kitchen as it lacks ventilation. So be prepared for your clothes to smell like delicious Hakka food:)

I happed to be in down town Toronto during lunch time so decided to check out KAHO Hakka Restaurant today. The food was very authentic. Tried the Manchurian Fish with Hakka nudges. Very reasonably priced and it tasted fantastic. Very original, excellent service and very clean place. Simple food yet mouth watering

I came here thinking it was one of those family sit down restaurants but to my surprise it turned out to be a fast food restaurant I was initially a little disappointed but it turned out to be great both the food and the service. The two workers there Sudeep and Arbaz were very helpful and kind.

Nothing better than a hearty portion from Khao Hakka on a dreary day. Portions are generous for a reasonable price; the lunch deal in particular is wicked. Make sure you get a spring roll; they're top notch.

Ordered chilly chicken and chicken noodles through Uber eats and the chicken was SO stale and hard. Easily 4-5 days old cooked chicken warmed up. So disappointed. I was a regular but not anymore.

Suddenly craved for hakka noodles and went there. The taste was good! Paneer grill was also yummy! Satisfied with kulfi too!

I made quite good Indian food by myself. Happened to be in Toronto for some work, and thought of giving it a try.

Quality of Ingredients is bad to begin with. When you start to cook with low quality ingredients, you get low quality food.

22$ felt pricey for one person. Taste is bad due to Ingredients quality. Quantity is less for the price. Cooking and recipe are simple, no skills required.

I would avoid it unless you have no options.

How to improve: Find better source for groceries. Quantity is fine as long as food is tasty. Increase price by a little if that's what it takes.

Nice mom and pop. I'm a tourist so not too familiar with Hakka food. I ordered the lunch special which was a pretty good value. For $11 you get an entree and a drink. The Hakka noodles were great but the Hong Kong noodles were a bit gingery for my taste. The spicy level of the Hong Kong noodles was good. Enough to make my nose runny but not unbearable.

Visiting Toronto and I was lunch time. This restaurant was steps away so decided to try it for the first time. I grabbed their lunch special Chili Garlic with Fried rice. This was a gravy mixed into the rice, the chicken was nice and crispy and the mix was very flavourful! The staff here are very pleasant and friendly as well. I recommend trying this place out for sure.

Food quality excellent, reminds me of Indian taste. Excellent customer service, above and beyond. One of my favourite spots for lunch after work. I will suggest you to come here and enjoy with your friends and taste the perfect indian flavours by excellent chefs.

It was literally a 30sec find while browsing options at 10.30pm in downtown and was 2 mins away drive. The rating just made us pick it that quickly to meet our spicy craving on a chilly night.
As quick the service was, the foods we ordered were perfectly upto the expectations and made up to our flavorful tastebud. They smelled great as soon as they were served and looking at them I knew we're gonna love it! Perfect burst of flavors and spice.
Very surprising and rare find in downtown for hakka lovers like us.can't wait to go back again! Only wish the overall environment was more upto the downtown level but nevertheless, food and staffs make up for it.

I never leave bad reviews but this experience was something I have to state. I ordered several dishes from them and I called TWICE once I noticed I had an item missing but no one picked up. I called again the next day and they asked me questions regarding my order. Rightfully so, I answer all of them and they told me to come pick up the missing item. I give them a courtesy call to say I'm 5 minutes away and they start to tell me that I need a receipt of my order. It's not my fault you didn't pick up twice nor is it my fault one of your guys said he will replace it only to have me walk 10 minutes in the cold and to tell me that they couldn't do anything and to "come into the store and talk". Keep your food, cause you lost a customer.

Terrible I ordered through ritual waited 30m when I arrived they hadn’t even made my order! They rushed my food and it wasn’t great.

I am a regular customer at this restaurant. I love the taste and quality of the food. I absolutely receive the vest customer service whenever I come in. The staff is really good.:)

Pretty good. Small space with only one washroom, and you have to order at the counter but the service and the food is great with generous portions for the price. You can get a filling meal for $10-15. I had the hakka noodles with shrimp. Disappointed with the quantity of veggies but it was still great. Noodles and shrimp were stir fried well and the sauce was delicious with the right amount of spice. After a bit of extra shrimp and chicken wings we ordered I was stuffed. Workers were friendly and offered to take a picture for us as we were trying to. Way better than I expected it to be.

Food was ok not great. I ordered the chicken gravey and rice. They served rice 10 minutes before then the chicken and I ate all the rice as I was hungry. Customer service needs to improve so as the food quality.

We ordered veg Hakka and Manchurian, we received fish Manchurian instead.

We ordered their Chili Garlic Fried Rice with Tofu and Singapore Noodles with Paneer. The portion size was good and both items tasted great! The service was super fast and the prices were reasonable. The restaurant has a limited seating capacity though.

I accidentally stumbled upon this place while walking on the street with my girlfriend and as always the name of the restaurant “ Khao Hakka Refresh” started feeding our curiosity. I am going to be super honest and say that the hakka noodles and Manchurian cauliflower we ordered was mouth watering. If you’re looking for some really good Hakka food, this is the place. Lastly, shoutout to the staff as well who were really polite and kind!

Me and my friends found this place while heading to McDonald’s as we were starving. I am so happy that we discovered this place and were able to try their food. The food looked mouthwatering and tasted delicious. I couldn’t get any pictures because we were too busy eating, but i will highly recommend this place especially their hot garlic chicken and manchurian fried rice.

The food here is delicious. I tried chicken hakka noodles and it was worth the money. Restaurant is very cosy and perfect to for the one who is looking to dine alone.

This place is disgrace, zero health measures. No masks, no gloves and when the plastic plates fells down, they just pick it up and use it anyway.

This the $10 lunch special with noodles and chicken, i called to mention this much chicken served is not right but apparently its the standard portion
They offered for me to come back to get more chicken, i declined as i have no transportation again.

Went here for lunch and have to say we were not disappointed. They have fantastic lunch deals and the food is amazing.

I ordered Egg fried rice and veg ball manchurian. Both were delicious, to my surprise very similar to The indo Chinese one is accustomed to having back in India. Super friendly staff and great ambience.

My go to place for Indian hakka (Indo-Chinese), love their manchurian dry and hakka noodles. They have a lot of other vegan and vegetarian options as well. The portion size of the dishes isn't your typical hakka size (large portions) that I am used too but their portion is typical sufficient for one meal.

Got the chilli chicken, jumbo prawn and Hakka noodle. All were very tasty and good portion size. Also got the salt and pepper wings and they were super tasty! I’ll be a returning customer.

Food was good. We ordered Singapore noodles and garlic chicken. Noodles was okay, but chicken dish was good. I would recommend this Chinese place for anyone looking for good Hakka Indian Chinese who lives in downtown area.

What I liked most about this place is the Indian style Chinese food. Lot of vegetarian options. Really loved the vegetable spring roll and veg hakka noodle. Reasonably priced and good quality food.

Service was excellent, friendly and high quality. The staff were very helpful and took the time to explain their menu! Goes without saying but the food was fantastic!

Service is absolutely amazing! They are polite and consistent with an excellent demeanour. The food is delicious and highly recommend with many options whether you’re vegetarian or non-veg, you will find something tasty! The restaurant is run with passion and i Can’t wait to come back!

If you love Road side Chinese in India you are at right place. This is the closest you can find in Toronto

We called to order, and in 20 minutes, picked up our order of 1 x Chicken Manchurian (dry) combo with veg fried rice + 1 x chicken Manchurian noodles.
It was well cooked, fresh, and tasty enough to remind us of Hakka cuisine we know in India.
We were craving for the Manchurian flavouring and Khao certainly satisfied it. For the price, quantity and flavour, its a good deal.
Staff is courteous and quick.
Definitely a restaurant to order regularly!

Next time we order the gravy.

Love the taste of food that this place offers. Everything is amazing and closest to the Indian Hakka cuisine here in Toronto. Portion size is really good for the price.

Very disappointing delivery. Poor packaging, food was tossed around, photos don’t look anything like actual, disappointing taste too

Ordered on UberEats with high hopes coz their photos on the app looked great. However, you can tell they use frozen veggies in their noodles and curries. The photos are very deceiving, they look bright and like “fresh food” but the food is not tasty at all. Paneer was chewy and the gravies tasted the same. Noodles were oily and jus let not great tasting.

I love this place! The food is so fresh and delicious and the staff were so friendly and helpful. I got the veggie Hong Kong style noodles and they were really food but quite spicy. Anyone in the area should definitely check this place out, highly recommend!

Went for lunch today with few colleagues. Excellent food and great service. Unlike other Hakka places, the food tasted really fresh. Chicken wasn’t chewy but crisp and well done. Rice weren’t sticky. Loved all things that we tried - especially Chilli Chicken and Egg Fried Rice. Go for it.will keep coming here. Thanks guys for good food. Keep it up

This place is a hidden jem! I first discovered this place through Ritual and I've been coming here for lunch during work hours. The food is really flavorful and yummy and the staffs are personable as well. I highly recommend their fried rice!

I've been here a few times and loved everything I've had! Everyone is super friendly and it's super cute inside. This is one of my new favourite places!

Food quality here is great. Really like their burnt garlic fried rice as well as sweet chilli chicken

Soup was cold, even when we asked for it to be reheated. Everything was served out of disposable containers and they had no proper cutlery or plates. Not all that authentic, very fast food vibes. The service was good, but it seemed like the management had put a damper on the customer experience by trying to be cheap and cut on costs.

Great spot for lunch, especially if you're in the mood for something a bit spicier. The hot garlic chicken on rice is amazing. Portions are on the larger size too; you wont leave hungry.

Delicious place for trying out spicy and zesty Chinese food with a hint of Indian flavours. It’s a must try for everyone to have a nice meal that keeps you full for the day.:)

After having 2 of their dishes one followed by the other I can safely say I have had my worst dining experience. I ordered a burnt garlic rice that were so bad from the taste to spices and then thinking I should give them another try I opted for chicken Manchurian, which was even worse to the point I could not believe it. That chicken was utterly disgusting and it felt like someone just fried frozen chicken out of the freezer.

Despite signage indicating it was open until 10pm I was told, AFTER getting my food, that I wouldn’t be able to eat inside as they were in the process of closing. This seemed strange as it was 8: 30, an odd time to close. I ended up having to sit outside in the rain on a cold December evening only to realize that the dish didn’t include what it was supposed to. The guy making it had just thrown random ingredients from other dishes into it, presumably whatever was already prepped, to facilitate him closing the place early. AND when I tried to reach out to the restaurant through their website to ask why any of this happened they refused to respond. TERRIBLE food, even WORSE customer service.

The worst restaurant I had hakka chinese at. I live in the area and thought I will give it a try. It was very food court like order process and flavors were below average first visit. Trust me I know decadent hakka from dives to high end all over the world. I decided to try it again as a delivery and I was more disappointed.

The foodora app was glitchy and order placed without me completely finished. Customer service was useless. My partial order came late. The driver was lost when I live 5min walk away and have very clear info on app.

The soup was cold and bland and terrible. I'm allergic to onion and made a note BUT all my dishes had chunks of onion in it. Threw out entire meal sadly. What a waste of food, time, money. Failed on restaurant and deleted foodora too. Never ever again.

Just tried Chicken + Rice + Szechuan Sauce. I couldn’t believe how Tasteless It was.
Every single ingredient tasted cheap without flavour, Just like the express food court foods. (but with higher price)
I had to throw away the whole meal after 3 bites.
Spring Roll was slightly better.

I was excited when I heard a new Chinese restaurant opened around my office - Too bad.
I don’t think I will go back here unless they make ‘Fundamental’ changes to their food.

Decent, but unsure of value.

This opened up recently in my neighbourhood so I thought I'd check it out. The food was prepared to order, so it was nice and hot off the stove. It was tasty, but I am not sure if it was authentic as I was hoping for. But to be fair, I tried the Hakka style noodles, which I don't often have. It was a bit oily for my liking, but I may have to try once more to be able to give a firm opinion. The price seems a bit on the high side for what I got. Will try again at some point and possibly revise this review.

I was thrilled to taste real Szechuan flavor in my meal. The combo was worth it, and umm that spring roll.was delicious and the portion size was perfect.not too little not too much. A perfect environment to eat my lunch in peace (being in the middle of a fast past rush and go type neighbourhood). Looking forward to try other things on the menu and bringing my friends here, too.

I just tried their new spring rolls- the quality of the rolls are good but personally I am not a fan of the flavor. I ordered the vegetable ones. If your into that Hakka taste. I'm pregnant so i guess the taste didnt sit right with my belly. Everything just seemed super saucy. I'll return to taste other foods. Service was also good

Came in on a Friday evening few weeks ago with wife to try and support the neighbourhood food scene however.

The noodles were quite bland and tasteless, the rice had only a few pieces of chicken in it and overall tasted like watered down instant flavouring bot from TNT

paid overall $27 + $1 tip because we ate in, considering the small portions and quality, would have been better off with food court chinese 2 item combos
