Khokha Eatery

Went to Ottawa for the very first time. Didn't know where to have a nice fresh desi breakfast. We were lucky to find out about Khokha. Very nice, clean and friendly atmosphere. Food was fresh and tasty. Would definitely recommend it!

This was such an incredible experience, the food is amazing. I would highly recommend the butter chicken and the butter chicken poutine. Lovely service as well

The customer service is amazing and the people there are so sweet! Every time I’m in this store they immediately welcome me with warmness and the food here hits home! The atmosphere of this place really feels warm and inviting. Every time I’m done eating they ask me if the food was good, very nice people and food! Extremely underrated place as well.

Used to be my favourite Place for their biryani. Recently ordered Biryani twice and sadly its not the same taste anymore. In the last order, ordered through uber eats and literally there was so salt or spice in the rice. Not at all close to Authentic Pakistani Biryani anymore.
Have tried their haleem and Chaat in the past and it was great.
Owners are really sweet but really disappointed with food now.

Review update: 2 years later, and Khokha is still knocking it out of the park.

Their menu has expanded to include a broader selection of quick eats, which we've been enjoying (try the chaat!).

Our family usually orders bun kebab, chaat, and a lamb curry to carry home.

Khokha has gotten more expensive, much like everything else around us. It's affordably expensive though: worth the cost a few times a year. The portions are generous too.

It is ALWAYS excellent. Their fusion items are really good, too.

10/10 for food, friendliness, and overall enjoyable.

*This place is a gem hidden in a little suburban enclave. The food is really excellent (I had the Chapli bun, saag gosht, and some garlic naan) and the prices are totally reasonable.

The folks running the shop when I went in are absolutely lovely, as well.

If you're looking for some solid takeout on your way home from Longfield station, this is an excellent option. *

Great dishes, full of aroma and very delicious. I tried different dishes and all were amazing. We had deliveries for different events, every time wonderful.
Today I had a mango cake it was so moist and fresh, tasted grandiose.
Staff and owners are very hospitable and courteous.
The car, restaurant and it's ambience is colourful showing great taste in food and decoration in beautiful Pakistani lifestyle.

A very nice family runs this eatery. Their pride is evident in the food which is consistently excellent. It's been our favourite take-out food since they opened a couple of years ago. The Khoka rolls are always a delight.

Had a wonderful time here. Great food and outstanding hospitality from the staff. Aysha made the service was top notch. Will come back definitely.
One of the best places in Ottawa.

The server greeted us with a beautiful smile. She was very friendly, pleasant, courteous and very patient with my children as it took them a while to pick what they wanted to eat. The food was very delicious and cooked to perfection. This was our first meal at a restaurant in Ottawa. We had great experience. Food, service and atmosphere were amazing. Thank you so much. I strongly recommend this restaurant. Keep us the good work.

The best in Ottawa. Feels like home. Lamb curry is a must try. I came from Kingston just to eat from Khokha

First time trying Pakistani restaurant and was very pleased! Everything was delicious, especially the khokha roll and masala fries! The staff are also very nice:)

What we ordered (for 2 people) :
- Chicken Khokha roll meal (with masala fries and soda)
- Samosas (veggie)
- Mango milkshake

Good Pakistani eatery. Clean and cozy.
I tell you, everything is worth every dollar you will spend ($$$).

The food was delicious and fulfilling, the customer service was superb, and the restaurant was very well-kept.

1) slightly better paper plates will call cost Pennie’s from the dollar store or Costco. Pennies that can improve your customer experience far more than the cashier asking multiple times how’s everything. Feels fake.

2) karhai is synonymous to spices and full of flavor. Try karhai boys in toronto.

Also this is not the first time I have provided the feedback re better paper cutlery. Last time it was directly to the owner.

-dine in experience: the slimmest of paper plates possible. They take away from enjoying the food. Plus no serving spoon to take food out in plate. Instead dollar store plastic ones. Penny wise pound foolish

Ate lamb karhai. It was bland. Once again when you serve a classic dish in a paper bowl vs an actual karhai, we have to deduct 50% of the points

Will return again and see if there is a change

I tried their bun kebab. It’s good but they should go easy on the sauce. It’s like the Pakistani version of sloppy joe. Overall it’s a nice cozy place to dine in or take out.

I went here with my family for lunch. We ordered a butter chicken poutine. I've never heard of a butter chicken poutine but it was AMAZING! All stars for this restaurant. I will be here again and I will tell all my friends.

The butter chicken is the best poutine i've ever had. I love the decor. The meal deal was well priced. The place is very clean

Amazing food, Amazing Staff, amazing customer service. The employee named Aysha is fantastic, kind, and sweet. Overall great experience.

Decor is incredibly vibrant and beautiful. The chicken biryani is very aromatic and lovely. If you like spice request it extra spicy gives it a lovely kick.

My all-time favourite eatry for finding the best Pakistani food with authentic taste and rich aroma, in the capital. I have had dozens of trips to this place in the last 3 years, and have always come away fulfilled and satiated, savoring the rich taste a wide variety of dishes and curries availavle here leave you with. I had a sumptuous dinner at it a few days ago. Needless to say, the experience was awesome. My favourites are Lamb Curry, Pulau Goshat, Chapli Kebab, Chnna, Haka Noodles, Biryani, Haleem and above all, their well-brewed, aromatic milk tea. The eatry is owned and run by two sweetest Pakistani Canadians, a man and his wife. Their hospitality and the care they take in serving you with their endearing smiles and pleasing description of the food they serve, prepares you just very well for the indulgence that follows.

My friends and I have been coming to this place for more than a year now just to have their butter chicken poutine every Friday afternoon as a way to celebrate making it through another week of school. Every time we come here, the food is excellent and always hits the spot. The food is halal and worth it. The owner and the staff are very friendly and always welcome you with a smile. It's the perfect place for a snack or a buffet and they also give out student discounts. Lots of memories have been made in this restaurant and hopefully a lot more to come.

If you are looking for an authentic Pakistani food place please DO NOT go there. If you have a never have had authentic food then there is a slight chance that you may like it but for someone who has actually eaten Pakistani food.this place is a disgrace. There is no resemblance to Pakistani food belt biryani, paratha roll, bunkabab, Chana chaat, chai and fries.

Everything is extremely acidic and tastes bland. Avoid!
