Quality Japanese cuisine. The sushi we've tried were fresh fish (which is the most important thing for japanese meals). Well balanced sauces, pretty good rice and fine rolling. However, one of the maki (rolls) for 20+$ contained surimi (fake crab meat) - that's unacceptable for the place positioning as "authentic Japanese". It's cheap filler just to add volume IMHO and it's unfair to charge this much for that Otherwise, it's one of the best sushi spots in the city I've tried so far (luckily they don't have surimi in every meal) Interior is nice, clean and is conductive to enjoy the food Service is good. The girl serving was nice and positive, spreading shiny energy "Go-to option" for Japanese cuisine, but be ready to open the pockets, as it's quite price
Cute atmosphere and incredible high quality food.if your looking for high quality sushi with good presentation and cute atmosphere this is your place! I love that you can make any roll rice paper.
Such an amazing restaurant! We got the great service with food of very good quality.we went there for birthday and never regretted it, will be back again for sure.big thanks to the main chef because sushi that he makes are amazing
This is the place for quality sushi. Appetizers were phenomenal (can't go wrong with the karaage) and their sake flight was very enjoyable. My only regret is not getting to enjoy the rest of their selection as I'm curious about their wagyu. Will be sure to come famished during my next visit.
I got the secret nigiri set and the sushi was pretty fresh and flavourful. Would definitely go back to try the rest of the menu. Only thing I would complain about was the slow service. Took them 10mins before a waiter even came up to me after seating and my friend and I didn’t receive our food at the same time when the restaurant was barely half full.
Wonderful sushi spot with beautiful dishes that are works of art. Some of the nigiri toppings were questionable but overall amazing fish quality. Service was perfect and the ambiance was lovely, making it hard to leave. Great sake, both hot and cold.
Fresh ingredients and prepared to perfection! Pleasant staff, chic modern ambiance. Take out located on 2nd floor with dine in option. Private events happen on lower level. Ordered vegetarian roll and was thoroughly enjoyed. Recommended for all.
Don't understand all the hype. This looks like every other sushi restaurant. Nothing special. The sashimi was mediocre at best and the service was HORRIBLE. We had to constantly flag down our waitress to get served. The only time she started to pay attention was when it got near closing time. She wanted to leave and made it very obvious. Save your money. There are better sushi restaurants
The food quality was really disappointing compared to prices while the location is great place. It's a narrow restaurant and there's not a big table to accommodate more than 4 people. The food was not as tasty as other quality Japanese restaurants. If you want a good sushi, just go to Miku!
I stumbled across Kibo Secret Garden one day, and it has quickly become my (and my family’s) favourite sushi place in the city. I highly recommend it to all! Beautiful presentation, delicious sushi…we are so happy we found it!
One of my favourite Japanese dishes is Grilled Cod. I've noticed that it's not a common menu dish in Toronto so whenever I do see it on a restaurant's menu, I will give it a try. I'm pretty confident that Kibo's Grilled Cod is one of the most delicious I've tried. I liked the portion, presentation and the tenderness. I will be back to try more of their dishes!
Just had my first experience here, and I havebto say I am more then pleased! The atmosphere was excellent, and the servers were very friendly and helpful! I ordered the mixed tempura, which was the perfect mix of flake and crunch, without that excess oily and greasyness that often comes with it. Would definitely recommend giving this place a try!
A good Japanese fushion sushi bar. There are a fair amount of options to choose and lean toward to the "healthy eating" style if you know what I mean. The ambient like the food, a mix between western and Asian.
Super delicious menu items and very fast service. I will say that their drink selection was quite small (except for the sake options) but I enjoyed my tasting flight. I highly recommend the wagyu beef tataki and the California roll (real crab!)
