Ordered the 16 piece special-8 piece spicy tuna, and 8 piece spicy salmon. But the entire 16 rolls ended up being a mix of minced tuna and salmon gunk for each roll. The tuna was browning and tasted overly fishy and kind of rancid.
Had to throw it all out. Disgusting and disappointing.
The best chicken teriyaki roll I’ve ever had! Still dreaming of it. The chicken is crispy and lightly breaded and I appreciate how they use chicken breast rather than thigh meat. I only wish I ordered another one.
Accommodating & quick service! Sushi was good for the price point.
However, not a fan of how they packaged the soup & salad in the middle of the already stacked sushi orders instead of on the top - everything tipped over shortly after leaving.
I was there today in the rain and the staff there were absolute angels. Kibo is consistent in taste and quality at every location. And this small takeout spot is no exception, but the woman who was working tonight was so kind to me when something stressful happened and I was going to need to rush off unexpectedly and planned to leave my food behind (hopefully for her to pass on to someone else). Instead, she went out of her way to get my order packed up and ready for me at lightning speed. It was such a kind gesture in a stressful personal moment. All is good now, but that type of care and kindness toward a stranger is rare. I had to say thank you! The food was great as always.
Big fan of this place! It is a takeout only place, which confuses some people but the food is definitely worth it! Would 100% recommend the spicy salmon roll, it tastes amazing. Service is OK, depending on which workers are there, sometimes slow sometimes fast.
Stopped in just before closing time. Placed a good sized order. Staff were very pleasant, helpful and did not rush us while were we deciding what we wanted. The food was fresh and amazing.like always. Kibo is the only place to go for sushi!
Some of the best sushi I've ever had. So fresh and tasty. Staff were very nice and pleasant, plus the price is very good for what you get. Highly recommend
I ordered take out. The salmon was extremely fresh, with delicious taste. Service was friendly, food was good and price was reasonable. Honestly, it's the best sushi. Highly recommend
Great taste, great price, but I found this in my spicy salmon roll, it's a plastic particle. Don't fool me and say that's part of shuimp shell. I understand the kitchen is always busy, but this kind of thing should not happen in the culinary industry.
Their food is AMAZING. Always fresh! I ordered Love Boat, and we enjoyed so much. Not only the price is reasonable but also food is pretty good. The place is clean, and the staff are nice.
Do not order from here. Go to a different kibo. Stingy and low quality compared to other kibo i have been. I ordered their daily special spicy salmon and spicy tuna. Got my order in 10min. When i got my order, i thought i received the wrong item.
Salmon and tuna were no where to be found and it was all tempura. The sushi was also not fresh and seemed like its been sitting out for a while since the tempura was soggy and tasted like stale oil. I called and they said no refund but only store credit.
The miso soup was the best I've ever had, but dining in outdoors was gross because a bad smelling vent blows on you. Not sure if dining inside would have been better because it's a little cramped. Great option for takeout though. Prices are good and food is good.
I went here, because it was the closest sushi spot to my workplace. It is probably some of the worst sushi, dumplings, and seaweed salad I have ever had. But it gets the job done. If you're in a pinch, or you don't have a lot of money. But you would like to have some very low quality sushi. This is not a bad place to go. Grab a box put it in the bag head out. The staff is nice. Which is why I gave it two stars. The food did not sit well with me. But I normally don't eat bargained sushi.
Sushi was decent and well portioned for price. I've put only 3 stars because I put in a special request to put vegetarian items in a separate container, which didn't happen, and I had to not eat a 3/8 of my pieces since they had fish eggs on them. The last time I had seafood (an accidental bite of shrimp) I had a fever within hours and severe diarrhea - these types of requests are often not just preferences but health wise necessary.
I can't speak for all of the things on the menu, but the vegetarian platter was the best I've had out of all of the sushi places I've been too in Toronto. Definitely a must try.
I have never been inside of this place but I order from here a lot. The price is very reasonable, and the sushi is always so so fresh. Each roll is the perfect size too and the delivery is always fast! Specifically, I really like the crunchy avocado yam tempura roll and the green dragon - so good!
My personal favourite sushi takeout in Toronto. Quality is always spectacular and prices are very fair. Somehow this restaurant is FAR better than the Kibo by the Roger’s centre, so I’ll be sticking to this one.
Amazing sushi:) Fresh and nicely packaged. Really enjoyed the yam/ avocado as well as the salmon/avocado rolls. Ordered some with brown rice but next time I will order all with white rice. My husband said the spicy avocado salmon pizza was to die for and he would order again.
It was pleasant! I ordered the Maki Platter A which had 4 different sushi rolls in it. I personally don't like to eat anything raw so I basically stuck to the California roll and the dynamite rolls. The thing I enjoyed the most about the dynamite roll was the size of it! It was relatively larger compared to a lot of other sushi places that I've tried.
I really enjoyed my takeout meal from Kibo on Charlotte. The packaging was excellent and they included two ramekins which made the dining experience pleasant.
The fish was fresh and they were generous with the wasabi and ginger.
Kibo on King is of my favourite sushi restaurants in the area. The staff are super friendly, the food is always fresh, and the prices are reasonable. Highly recommend, I will be back soon!
Just ordered online from Kibo. AMAZING! The whole order process was quick and the food was ready in 30 minutes. I ordered 2 Teriyaki & Tempura Bentos and we were sooo full. They came very nicely packaged with the Tempura in separate boxes. The salad was very fresh with amazing ginger dressing. The Miso soup was the best we have ever had.very flavorful and piping hot. The Tempura as hot, crispy and delicious.very tasty.not bland. The Teriyaki Bulgogi and Chicken were nicely cooked and very delicious. I cannot stress how impressed we were.takeout as fresh as this was a real treat! Highly recommended.
I usually order takoyaki from Kibo. Today I order from this location and wait 1 hour for pickup just 1 takoyaki. That is not to mentioned when I ordered they told me come after 30 minutes.when I got the order it’s not even warm. Just like from the fridge. As you can tell in the picture. They don’t even include fork. I also think it’s missing 1 piece than regular order.
Yum yum yum, great food, amazing quality, great service.also the presentation was beautiful, every dish came as a piece of art.price was right as well.will go back again and will bring friends:)
Delicious! Super fresh, great textures, good flavours I really enjoyed the spicy chicken karaage but their spicy Salmon sushi was also delicious with the crunchy toppings, and their sashimi seemed fresh.
Service was prompt and the food came quickly.
It is encouraged to pay with cash since you get 10% off!
Just okay, nothing spectacular, maybe slightly disappointing as you reflect on your life choices when eating. You’re not really going on a fun trip to flavor town.sadly.
I only go here due to the convenience of it during lunch time from work and that it’s cheap.
Keep in mind that they do charge an extra dollar $ for each sushi item if you do decide to pay using card. So it’s best to have cash handy.
Will I come back again? Yes I will, for the above reasons.
Nice little place with great prices. I tried salmon and tuna rolls. Taste was good, fish felt fresh. They give you a 10% discount if you pay by cash. Efficient service and the servers are friendly.
Nice little cozy japanese restaurant. I came here around 9pm for a take away order. The food was delicious and well packed. The place was clean and well organized. The staff who were serving were friendly. I do recommend this place and I definitely would come back.
Currently I am working as a part time uber delivery walker. Most of the restaurant dont even allow us to use the washroom in such cold. Today I went to pickup a delivery from here and they gave me a bag of sushi for my self.thank you to Kibo Sushi. It meant a alot.
My friend and I stopped by this Kibo Express this week when we had a craving for sushi around dinner time. As soon as we sat down, they brought some delicious green tea to the table. We each ordered about 16 pieces and they even gave us a couple extra salmon on rice. It was a bargain and the staff were delightful and friendly.
Worst Katsudon plate of my entire life. I’m giving it 2 stars because it mainly offers sushi/bento so proper, cooked meals might not be their forte. Also, it’s family-owned independent little store in a great location with super friendly staff so it kills me to rate it badly.
Consistently quick service and the staff are super kind. It's a regular go-to for me and I have never been disappointed. Thank you for the delicious food!
The staff here were so rude to me it was unreal. The food was good but when I tried to pay with card the staff member turned to me and after giving me stank eye said "seriously? ". Then when I tried to tap my card she didn't move the receipts that were still hanging off the machine so it didn't work. She proceeded to snatch the card from my hand and tap it. She then shoved my takeout into my arms as if I was a burden to her and needed to leave. Awful experience.
Good tiny sushi spot. They have $5 cash sushi, and pretty good selection. Fishes are pretty fresh. Also, they have other dinner selection like tonkatsu donburi, which is good.
We have been in Toronto for just under a year and so far this is the best sushi restaurant we have been too! Food was delicious. Service was wonderful despite having to deal with all the take out orders. Loved the vibe of the restaurant.
Ordered the large sashimi set. The white tuna and salmon was flavourful, but the rest was bland and tasteless. The shininess on the meat did not come from the fish oils. On the fair side, this is the average quality for downtown sashimi of this price range. So despite its already "chef's selection", the only way to improve the quality is to import better fish - which translate to higher prices.
Food was alright. Price for quality wasn't too bad. Limited seating area, there were about 4-5 tables inside and 2 outside. Good deals for takeout sushi. If you pay cash you get 10% off. Service was quick.
Food was great!:) The workers were super nice as they even gave us extra food. The restaurant was also very cute and cozy. We would definitely come again when we’re in Toronto.
Tasty sushi & decent prices. No thrills kind of sushi place in the entertainment district. Most people seem to take out but there are a couple of seats inside and outside.
Kibo's was a great experience. The menu is well laid out with a lot of options and helpful pictures and descriptions. I ordered the spicy salmon dragon roll and octopus rolls. I also tried the tamago. Overall the food was great, filling, and very affordable. All of the pictures food only came out to $45.
