Kickstart Taekwondo

I highly recommend Kickstart! We are so glad to have our son enroll in the after-school program. Master Ivan is incredible instructor and the whole team is amazing, and they make a family friendly environment.

My kids started here last year and we could not be happier. I can attest to the fact that taekwondo at Kickstart has done wonders for my kids. It has helped them gain confidence on so many levels besides the new martial arts skills they have acquired. Master Ivan is great with all the "future black-belts. " They just absorb every word he says, and he has some great words of wisdom to share. The supporting staff is amazing, very helpful and kind. The whole operation is VERY well managed.
In addition to regular lessons for their belt progression, we have also participated in summer camp and had our kids' birthdays hosted there. Both events were very well enjoyed by my kids and their friends. Thank you Kickstart Taekwondo for doing what you do.

We were recommended to Kickstart by another parent and when I saw Master Ivan’s ability to engage and encourage my oldest boy (4 at the time) we signed up immediately.
It has been 4 years since we have been members at Kickstart. Now my middle son (5 yr old) has been there for a year and my youngest (3 yr old) will be joining them in September.
The kids love it, the staff are great and Jelena (Manager) ensure everyone is safe and organized.
Since joining, we have recommended it to many others and their families love it too.

Fantastic taekwondo club. My son has been coming for 3 years and has really flourished. Master Ivan has really allowed my son to blossom and now has his black belt. Jelena keeps everything running smoothly and my son looks forward to moving
forward with Kickstart as he approaches high school.

Our son Kyrylo is attending after school program and Taekwando classes almost 2 years now.
The team is amazing: they pick him up from school bus, very organized and responsible about every child.
Jelena always check a lunch boxes to be done)
Kyrylo is feeling there as a second home.
Master Ivan is best of the best coach and friend to our son. They are teaching how to live life and protect yourself, not only regular classes.

Master Ivan and his team are fine examples of hard work, commitment & integrity. Everytime I run into his staff at a tournament they are truly humble and are such great role-models to their students/athletes and other competitors. If you follow Kick-Start on social media you will see that their programs are fun and full of high-energy. I recommend Kick-Start to anybody of all ages. You will not be disappointed. Master Ivan is also a skilled coach/athlete in High Performance Poomsae (Patterns). He also runs a Sparring camp with the Olympic Coach from Serbia and my athletes absolutely loved it and will return every year.

An absolutely amazing place a for our son. The patience and guidance of Master Ivan is exception. Our son has blossomed, gained self-confidence and learned more about patience and commitment through his experience at Kickstart. Great facility, Master Ivan and Jelena run a great organization, great for 3 and 4 year olds to learn rules and respect.

Myself and my daughter started Taekwondo classes at KickStart Taekwondo 6-7 months ago and I wish we had joined much sooner.
I am really impressed how fun classes are and we trully enjoy the encouraging family environment.
Master Ivan is very passionate, extremely skilled and patient. He teaches technique over strength and tactics over aggression. Kickstart taught me discipline, hard work, patience and dedication. Everyone learns differently, but Master Ivan knows how to cater his teaching so that everyone walks away learning something new. The community is one that is supportive and compassionate.

My boys have been attending the school for the past 3 years and they love it, Master Ivan is so good with the kids and Jelena always makes sure everything runs smoothly. We love them.

The absolute best thing we did for our son is sign him up to Taekwando at Kickstart. Master Ivan is not only an teaching the kids taekwando but also life lessons and encouragment, dicipline and so mucj more.

Thank you very much for bringing taekwondo back to our family! It took us about a month of orientations at several dojangs to find the right one. Master Ivan, Jelena, and the Kickstart family, as a whole, continue to prove themselves to be very accommodating to the needs of our children and others. One of our children has special needs and his physiotherapist has told us that the exercises that he ends up doing at tkd have been excellent for him. This is all done in an enriching environment where our children want to continue their development. Great job Kickstart Taekwondo!

Incredible academy, a true jewel in Etobicoke and dare I say in Toronto. I tried five different Tae Kwon Do academies and took one and a half months to make my decision. In the end I signed up with Kickstart Tae Kwon Do because Master Ivan is just an incredible teacher to work with and learn from. He takes the time to explain the reason we do things one way or another, he is approachable and personal, his style has a good balance between traditional and modern teaching techniques, he can show every step/kick/move himself, and very importantly, he teaches the entire class. His level of commitment to his academy is commendable.
All of this is reflected in the incredible energy in every class, in the attendance and in the true mix of young and adults, multiple belts and diversity of people that attend regularly. For beginners ir experienced Tae Kwon Do students this is a solid choice.

Very welcoming environment with a fantastic staff and an admirable Master! Training at Kickstart teaches you dedication, perseverance and has you breaking a sweat while doing so. They offer many programs such as after school care and high performance alongside their wide variety of regular classes Mon-Sat. The dojang is a clean and safe space to train taekwondo in and I am thankful to be a part of such an amazing community!

Kickstart has been such a positive experience for my daughter. They really create a positive and inviting atmosphere. I can't say enough good things.:)

It can be hard to entrust your child to strangers, but Ivan and Jelena have turned Kickstart into my daughter's second home. Thanks in large part to the training, she is strong, confident and kind, and often scared straight just by the suggestion that I will tell Master Ivan about any bad behaviour. She started in the after school program, fell in love with summer camp and has had two birthday parties here. She is, as she will happily tell you, Kickstart for life.

After 9 months at kickstart im in the best shape of my life. No sport ive ever played compares to the training techniques and practices of master Ivan Petrovic. If youre looking for belts to be handed to you then keep looking because everything in this dojang is earned! Kickstart taekwondo motivates me to work harder and do better for not only myself but the whole kickstart team. It is no longer a chore to get my exercise. Instead i now look forward to my evenings working hard in the gym. The office staff and assisting team are both on point and organized. Kickstart family rulz!
