Kids Dental Group- Richmond Hill

I recently took my child Elena to the Kids Dental Group Richmond Hill location, and it was a wonderful experience from start to finish. As a parent, I am always concerned about my child's comfort and well-being, and I was delighted to find that this clinic excelled in every aspect. Two dental hygienists were excellent with Elena. They were gentle and interacted well with my child to make her feel comfortable. When I felt confused and uncertain, Hygienist Sonia explained in detail the need to add two crowns to protect the teeth. Dr. Zee was professional and gentle, ensuring my child felt comfortable throughout the treatment. I definitely will recommend this clinic to all parents and kids.

The clinic had a kid-friendly atmosphere with colorful décor and toys, helping to ease any anxieties. Overall, it was a great experience, and I highly recommend the kids dental clinic for their exceptional care.

All staff are always so kind and our kids actually likes to visit here, maybe because of the prizes they got every time after seeing the doctor.:) little expensive but worth it.

Excellent facility. The staff and doctors are so kind and sweet. They make sure kids are relaxed by talking to them about things that interest them. Love the atmosphere and the cleanliness at the clinic.

To put it simply, there’s a reason why this place has nearly 5 stars! Both of my children, ages four and six, attend the Richmond Hill location, and I never thought it was possible that children would actually look forward their visits to the dentist—until we came to Kids Dental! Firstly, the staff is incredible on all levels. Professional, efficient, and clean. They’ve definitely “seen it all”, yet their patience and kindness is unmatched. The quality of work is also very important to note; the attention to detail and the care they provide is like no other pediatric dentist I’ve visited. Don’t hesitate to try them out if you have little ones!

The assistant was nice, but Dr. Krista Lee was very mean and rough to kid. I strongly do not recommend this Dr. To see your kid.

I’ve been taking my daughter to Kids Dental Group since she became 2 as their service was usually great.
A couple of days ago, they cancelled my appointment that I made a year ago. They made an excuse that their staff couldn’t come to the office due to snow, which was somewhat understandable.

The part that I really didn't understand is that they told me I have to wait another year to receive the make-up session. I told them that we already waited a year for this and my daughter really needed a dental checkup asap but it seemed like they didn’t really care.

It is very disappointing that they showed ZERO effort to reschedule a make-up session for us. I’m pretty sure there could be alternative ways such as taking any cancellation spots etc. Yes, you may be one of the most popular kids’ dental clinics in Markham so you may not care about losing one or two customers but you should at least show your effort to resolve the problem that is caused by you instead of saying there’s nothing you can do about it and telling me to wait another year.

Giving two stars bc at least the doctors and their service were great. I really wish their customer care/service was great too.

They are AMAZING. My kids love the "dentist day". This time my son 6 years old did everything by himself because he felt comfortable. My daughter 2 years old was scared and cried for a little bit but they were amazing to manage her and were able to clean her teeth from her. Thank you. Happy to came back in 6 months

Absolutely top-rate professionals who truly care about the children they see in their office. Gentle, kind, caring, and very good at their jobs. I was beyond grateful for their excellent work today, and each time we're there!

The best kids dental we have ever been to! Dr Z is amazing! Honestly everyone we have seen there is amazing, even the receptionists… usually receptionists we deal with at any clinic aren’t so nice lol but the ones here so sweet and helpful.
My daughter has been going to this clinic for a few years now and she is very comfortable.

Ms. Chelsea is amazing. She is patient and very nice with kids. My son loves it here. We have been seeing the doctors here for 2 years. They always make my son’s dentist trip a pleasant.

Great Paediatric dentists here! Im happy I found them. I would suggest to anyone with children, don't waste money paying for so many fees.take your child to a Pediatric dentist, Kids dental is the best. I initially brought my kids to my own dentist, however, they couldn't even take xrays due to the size of the film being shoved into the kids mouth. They are friendly, helpful, and explain everything. If you have a question, they answer it. They also have 3 locations as far as I know. Also, Great communication from staff, they get back to you very quickly, sometimes within the same hour.

I have been bringing my son here since he was 2 years old. I've always had a pleasant experience. The staff have been helpful and accommodating. Definitely recommend this to anyone looking for a kids dentist.

Took my 2 year old to see the dentist for the first time today and had an amazing experience, from the quick check in at front desk, (all the forms were sent ahead of time to make the process quicker and easier), the dental assistant (sorry I forgot her name) was amazing and made my daughter feel much more relaxed than i thought. Dr. Amanda was very sweet to her as well. Would definitely recommend to my friends and family. When my daughter says she wants to see the dentist again after her first visit, you know you are doing something right! =)

I was a patient of Kids Dental till I got too old for pediatric. The overall experience and how Dr. Zee conducted the procedures on me were impeccable, a true inspiration!

Every time I am told my son needs x rays but he has had x rays EVERYTIME

Also EVERY time the hygienist says that my son needs to see the Orthodontist when the doctor says that he doesn't

Feel like I am being ripped off EVERY time

I’ve been taking my son to Kids Dental for over 7yrs and he will not go anywhere else because of the bond and trust he has built with his hygienist Victoria. Victoria knows exactly how to calm him down and provide a safe environment while doing a great job cleaning his teeth. The staff are always helpful and greet everyone with a smile. Doctors are professional and knowledgeable.

My kids just "graduated" from Kids Dental Group. Been going there since they were babies! We will miss the warm and caring environment created by all the friendly staff at Kids Dental Group. Great place to start a healthy relationship with your dentist!

Very happy with the results. My six year old child went through many teeth repair. Everything done in one day or in 2 hours. Right after teeth surgery my child didn’t even showed any side effects. Right after the teeth repair my child went to normal life. We didn’t even feel anything. Thank you for taking good care of my child teeth. I highly recommend

The staff is warm and friendly, always ready to answer any questions or concerns you may have. Very punctual with appointment times and try their very best to accommodate you.

It's Very frustrated that every time we have to wait at least 40 minutes after the reservation time. We are really very upset especially in this pandemic time. The clinic should have better management.

Staff at Kids Dental Richmond Hill location are amazing! They always make my kids feel comfortable and know how to build a form of trust to make cleaning or treatment a breeze. We got Kayla this time and her positive and energetic personality makes my kids think they were in Disneyland. Dr. Z is also very knowledgeable and wonderful with kids.

Excellent service! Very caring staff, from the word go. Constantly got updated about the process involved with our child's dental surgery. Fast forward to a few hours after we left; was surprised and appreciative of the phone calls by the doctor and nurse. They called to check up on the post-op condition of our child and even provided contact nos.to call them if I had any concerns. I do not think I could ask for anything more.

I am so impressed with the happy staff, always on time and ready for my son once we walk in. The service they provide for children is so impressive and they are all experienced to work with them. I feel at ease the entire appointment and my son always looks forward to going back. That explains how comfortable they make him feel. Highly recommend!

All the staffs and dentists are nice and kind to me and my toddler. The waiting area is clean and everyone is keeping social distance. The dentist and dental assistant gave detail information about my kid's teeth and gums. They were very patient to my kid as well, which I am really impressed. They will give reminder to the next visit too. I would highly recommend Kids Dental Group.

Great place but higher cost, parents beware, could likely get same or similar service for half the price. Yes they specialize in children but pricing maybe a bit aggressive. My little one was happy though, so can't complain

I have been working with the Kids Dental Group for many years and I have never been more impressed with their level of professionalism and quality of care. They always go the extra mile with every family and I refer all my friends and family to their office for their dental and orthodontic care.

Super friendly people, amazing service and always on time. Kids feel very comfortable. Clean place and good location with parking. Would highly recommend.

The Ontario Dental Association publishes a suggested fee guide for Ontario dentists. Dentists must tell patients if they intend to charge fees that are above the fees listed in the guide. Did they tell you that? Dentists should be clear, open and upfront about the actual costs that are involved with any treatment plan.

The Guide is issued merely for professional information purposes, without any intention or expectation whatsoever that a practitioner will adopt the suggested fees. That could be why they over charge it may be normal practice here. But they should inform the patient. If they didn't I would ask them why they didn't.

My son was a patient at this dentist office, reading the reviews I see that most parents are happy that their children watching movies and playing games on the i-pads and fancy tv's that are available in the offices while they are being treated. To which, I, like many of these parents were unsuspecting and thought the same. Until I was hit with the dental bill and realized that they overcharge their patients far beyond the amounts that they should, probably to afford those fancy things in their office.

I had a treatment plan that was built for my son, who is 6 years old. It was over $4200. When I took this same estimate to Polar Dental, they showed me a side by side comparison, and it turned out that for every billing code they were charging, there is a fee guide that a dentist office should follow, per service showing what they should charge for that service. It turns out Kids Dental was charging me WAY more than even what the fee guide says should be the maximum amount that should be charged for that specific service.

Imagine being a single mother, hit with a $4200 bill, then when I asked if they could do a payment plan with me, after my insurance would cover my son, and his dads insurance covering some as well. Their 'payment plan' was paying $900 upfront, $900 the day of the surgery, and $700 after a month. Some payment plan, basically pay $2500 within one month.

They were NOT patient when it comes to discussing the bill, and they do not care that they overcharge.

I am happy to share the comparison of the estimate and if you are curious to see for yourself, call around before you do ANY treatment here that is over $1000 I bet you will save yourself time and money.

The PROS: Fancy place, nice people and my son had a good experience with the staff.
The CONS: They over charge unsuspecting innocent parents.

Not HAPPY!

I love the place, and my kids do too. Kids always want to come here, they get to watch kids movies while in the chair. Sometimes they even have therapy dog in place that will calm your little one if they are too stressed to go to the dentist.

Wonderful experience with my son! All the staff are amazing.my son was nervous before coming to the clinic and Dr. Amanda and her assistant made the whole experience for my son very calm and relaxing. And they are very nice to the children. They treat them with care, love and they treat them like they were their own! I strongly recommend them!

We love to come to Kids Dental. From the time of the beginning of any appointment to the end we are treated with kindness. There is never a time when my kids dread going to the Dentist.unhhhh? I wish there was a Kids Dental when I was growing up! Thanks Kid's Dental for making my kids' smiles bigger and brighter.
