My daughter is a VERY nervous kid and the dentist is by far her biggest fear. Kids & Teens has worked with her for a while and my girl actually looks forward to her cleanings now. The patience, empathy, and dedication to helping kids get the best of oral health is a huge help with teaching my child that she can do hard things. So grateful and impressed with the Team at Kids & Teens.

My daughter has been coming in for her appointments since she was a toddler. I highly recommend this place. The kids look forward to their play area which is so extra. The staff are amazing and they treat the kids so well. They are very accommodating and very organize. It gives the kids a positive experience and hopefully they don’t ever fear visiting or getting their teeth cleaned. There’s no better place in Ottawa and I have friends that will make the drive out to bring their kids here for their appointments.

Simply the best place to take your kids. Amazing staff and adapted office to make kids feel comfortable. I cannot recommend enough.

We love taking our 4 year old here! Dr. Castro is fantastic and the entire team as well. The waiting area is very impressive and the clinic is very clean, friendly and professional.

Dr. Mandy Nikoui and her team are excellent and experts in their field. Our son and daughter have gone to Kids & Teens since they were infants. From injured teeth to tooth extractions when the new ones were growing in on top to dental care after cancer and a stem cell transplant, Dr. Mandy has reassured us and showed incredible dedication to our children's dental needs and well being. We are grateful that we found Kids & Teens so long ago and are not looking forward to our teen and tween aging out and having to go to an adult dentist!

A huge thanks to Dr Nikoui and Amanda for taking care of my 11-year old son this morning - I wholeheartedly recommend K&T Dentistry.

These are some of the most professional, patient and caring staff that my wife and I have experienced (and we’ve been to aaaalllll the other kids dentists in Ottawa over the years). Dr Nikoui explained the various treatment options and answered my 500 questions with such grace. The patience that she and Amanda had with my son (who flinches every 3 seconds) was notable.

We are so lucky to have this level of professionalism available in Ottawa - thank you so very much!

We had a consult appointment for our son who was referred here. Staff were relatively nice. Dr seemed inconvenienced by us and did not take time to explain details. Recommended only one option or nothing. My son left feeling frightened and down about his teeth. Dr was not reassuring to him at all. Estimate was outrageous and financially unattainable.

We had a second opinion in Kingston and estimate was a fraction of the cost at Kids and Teens, and 10 X the customer service. My son felt comfortable, and Safe. Would not recommend for young children.

$300 for a routine 25 minute dental visit. My young kid has good oral health and no X-rays were taken.

This dental office should be ashamed for price gouging. Making dental care inaccessible to many kids and widening the health care disparity.

What is so special about scaling flossing and polishing? As an adult. I don’t even pay that for my old teeth that’s been around for decades.and still in great shape.

Will be looking elsewhere….

They have a play room waiting room and the kids love it.

The dentists are very kind and know how to get kids to be comfortable and happy while getting their teeth taken care of.

My 4 year was referred to Kids and Teens from our dentist after his routine 6 month cleaning. We saw Dr. Castro who is phenomenal and amazing with kids! After trying mild sedation to take care of his cavaties, my son didn’t comply and she suggested general anesthesia to get one of his molars extracted as well as 4 crowns and 2 regular fillings. We had his treatment yesterday at their surgicentre and Dr. Corbeil performed the work a long with a stellar paediatric anesthesiologist. Dr. Corbeil took the time to explain the procedure and before my son went in and made him feel very comfortable. The entire process was stellar and couldn’t recommend this office and their dentists more. From Annette, the coordinator who took her time making me feel comfortable to the professionalism and care of Dr. Castro and Dr. Corbeil. I’m so grateful we have them in Ottawa and I’ll be switching over to this office for my kids routine cleaning. My son is now less than 24hrs post op and back to normal and not even complaining about pain at all! Thank you so much for the great care you gave my son.

Been with Kids and teen for 12 years now for both my daughters. We knowingly paid exorbitant prices since they had such a good reputation. The work is good I wont deny that. But the constant cancellations and lack of communication are horrible. We took my daughter in very young around two or three years, old with a flaw in her tooth. We were told that baby teeth enamel is hard to adhere to so they did nothing. 6 months later her mouth is covered with cavities because guess what.if you leave an untreated tooth, that bacteria spreads! You think they experts would have at least provided a better plan! But no, now we were in for thousands of dollars of work, not too mention having to subject our toddler to general anaesthetic. Then there is the amount of cancellations! They cancel on you, with less than 24 hours notice I might add, so often you need to plan for it. They don't seem to comprehend that a lot of us are paid hourly. So not only am I paying for the visit, I am losing income as well. But to add insult to injury, when we had to cancel { which we never do knowing the risk of trying to get in again} due to my child's mental health, They had the unmitigated gall to ask for a deposit! Lastly is they lack of communication, "oh by they way now that your here its going to be 2.5 hours". Because of course we don't have jobs or other children's schedules to plan around. If your going to charge premium prices, you really should provide a premium service.

Highly recommend this pediatric office. Amazing dentists and friendly staff. Your kids will be in good hand. They have access to different sedation options to provide the little ones with the best experience possible. The whole team works very hard to keep kids smiling.

This is the dental office where you want to bring your kids! It's very important to us to have our children receive the care that is appropriate for their ages and needs. This team knows exactly what that is and how to make your child feel comfortable. We feel for fortunate to have found Kids and Teens Dentistry.

We had a great visit, we had an emergency and they brought us in right away. I understand they just had a last minute cancel, but it worked out for us. I want to thank the staff for helping our. Would recommend and go back.

We had a very friendly and professional experience at Kids & Teens Dentistry. They are skilled and work hard to make the children feel comfortable. I knew my daughter was in good hands.

Our experience at this dentist:

1. My son (4) was dealt with impatiently by the dentist (Nikoui), which I didn't at all expect at a practice with "kids" in their name. She was impatient and agitated toward me as well. I have never experienced this at another practice.
2. My son was given ~15mL of antihistamine for dental treatment. The assistant left the room and abruptly came back a few minutes later announcing "times up" even though they did not tell me there was a time limit he needed to drink it by. On top of that, I was charged $220 for the 5ml he did drink.
3. The dentist asked me about a very personal topic mid-appointment. At the end of the appointment, she made a negative remark about it which I felt was extremely condescending and rude. Her remark was made in a way that was also insulting to my son.
4. I was told that my son has 8 cavities and needed urgent treatment, and that his tooth could break. After getting a second opinion I found out this wasn't true at all and my son only needed minimal non-urgent work.

I am very disappointed with Kids & Teens. The staff and dentist presented themselves as concerned with my (and my insurance's) money rather than providing the best possible treatment for my son.

My 4 year old had a consultation here after for some cavities and we were told that the cavities were so deep that she would have to be put under by an anesthesiologist…the final bill was $5000…$2500 just for the anesthesia. I was obviously very scared Leaving my 4 year old alone to be put under and when I inquired about the procedure the receptionist and dentist were very rude and dismissive. We ended up getting a second opinion and got the X-rays they took sent over…when we got them, they were too blurry to make anything out and thus we had to get new X-rays, but the new place paid for them free of charge cause they were that bad. The new dentist (smile garden Kingston) also said that given the cavities anesthesia was unnecessary and a simple laughing gas was just fine. I’m so glad we got a second opinion. The dentists there were great and her teeth are in tip top shape till this day (1 year later). Kids and teen dentistry seemed to have put all their efforts into creating a nice waiting room. I suggest a second opinion to anyone going here.

Just to add how unprofessional the staff was…they kept sending us someone else’s confidential files throughout our emails back and forth.

Very dishonest people! The quote I received after paying a $200 consultation fee was over triple the price of others. I would strongly recommend getting a second opinion before going with this office. Very disappointing experience!

Great playroom to keep the kids busy while you wait. Also excellent service and a truly great atmosphere for young children.

It is the worst kids dental place I have ever been to.
March 2022, first patient examination, we met with Dr branch to do an X-ray, and she gave us a full treatment plan. The whole treatment plan cost 5000 dollars including filling cavity for her inside teeth and root canal for her two front teeth which we accepted, as long as my daughter’s teeth can be treated with no further concerns.

In April, first treatment was done with laughing gas, and filled two cavities.

In may, we tried to do second treatment with laughing gas, my daughter was very scared so she suggested to do a full operation with general anesthesia which we agreed.

Then clinic said there was a long waiting list so our surgery was scheduled in sep which we patiently waited.

One day before surgery, received a phone call from Annette, saying that another doctor looked at X-ray and would like to do extractions on two fronts teeth and one possible extraction at lower inside tooth. I was very surprised and shocked to see two dentists gave two different opinions based on the same X-ray and Dr branch was never gave treatments about any extractions.then I asked if they could be more conservative with the treatment as this was so different from the treatment plan which dr branch gave to us. Annette said she will make note and let the practice owner know, practice owner would be the one who would operate her surgery.

Next day, went to the operating room at Carling, nurse brought a waiver form, asked me to sign waiver form saying the dentist already discussed all possibilities with me and during surgery I agreed with all possible treatments, I told her I can’t sign this form as doctor has not discuss with me for all “possible treatments”.
The plan was still uncertain before the surgery.

Then practice owner came in and saying that I have to give consent as she can’t promise anything, especially she said the X ray is done in March, it is outdated, So if it is outdated, why not suggest to take one before her surgery? So I asked why not take X-ray at surgery room, she said they can only do the X-ray while she being unconscious, so we will have to go back to kids and teens location to do another X-ray. None of this was recommended before our surgery.

As I was not agreed with the last minute plan change, Annette called me and saying that the owner decided to drop us after we have spent $1500 at their office.
Only because of I disagreeing on the last minute change without any consulting or updated X-ray, simply just asked me to sign a waiver form.

This is the experience I got from kids and dentistry! I was so much regretting that I have been to this place, waited 7 month with nothing being done, I can see my daughter’s cavity was getting bigger and bigger, they kept saying that you can seek for second opinions, so we have to start from step 1 with another kids dental clinics waiting list.

By the way, the owner’s name is Dr Nikoui.

I had a referral for my 3 year old who had tripped and broken her two front teeth. After asking what insurance I have for my daughter, which is Healthy Smiles, they informed me that they would be calling my family dentist back to deny the referral because they don't accept that insurance. No apology, no suggestions, no kindness. Apparently your child only deserves to get care if you're in a higher tax bracket.

Horrible first experience. We we’re referred to this practice but they denied seeing my kids because despite having my personal insurance and willing to pay cash, because my kids have an account with Healthy Smiles they can’t be seen here! Kids don’t deserve discrimination when it comes to health care! Stay away from this practice!

In the beginning, they were great but after my daughter had a tooth extracted, the Dr left behind a tooth fragment that pierced her gums, resulting in emergency surgery. As my daughter got older, (10), they seemed to be less cheerful and sweet, making my daughter feel very uncomfortable and replaced it with so much negativity. My daughter has always been excellent with her oral care and they were just taking any little thing and making outrageous accusations and suggestions. I was appalled at this kind of treatment. Extremely unprofessional and creates unnecessary anxiety. I felt marginalized like never before, that we are just another number and a means to a financial end to them. The very next day after that last appointment, we switched dentists and couldn't be more pleased with our new doctor.

Don't waste your time and money on this place, it's not worth it!

I can’t say enough amazing things about this places. They are so amazing with your children. My daughter has bad anxiety and I also don’t love the dentist but the dentist here help so much with that. Always talking to my daughter letting her know what they were going to do next she actually liked coming back to the dentist. I really wish benefits would cover more but I would pay anything to make sure she was getting the care she needed.

This place is amazing! Dr. Branch is beyond incredible. She makes my kids feel special. She offers tons of distractions and is patient and amazing with kids. My kids are always asking when they can go to the dentist next.

My daughter has been seeing Dr. Nikohi and Amanda since she was three. Dr. Nikohi and her team have always been very kind and attentive. Thanks to Dr. Nikohi's proactive care over the years, my daughter has healthy teeth and a beautiful smile and likely won't have to spend her teenage years wearing braces. Due to Dr. Nikohi's gentle and kind approach, my daughter is always looking forward to her dental visits. Once Dr. Nikohi had to cancel due to a cold and my daughter was in tears because she had to miss her dental appointment! Here is what my daughter has to say about her experience with Dr. Nikohi:
“Dr. Nikohi has been my dentist for a very long time and has been absolutely amazing. I have never been afraid to go to the dentist because of this, and I always look forward to my visits. The Dental Hygienist who cleans my teeth, Amanda, has also been super fantastic and gentle. The office is very clean and extremely fun and playful. For example, the treehouse in the waiting room is very fun to explore, I love going over the bridge to get to the examination room and my favorite room is the carousel room. If I were able to give them a thousand stars I definitely would.

The staff from Front Desk, Dental Assistants, Hygienists and of course my children favourites Dr Mandy and Dr Corbeil are always so welcoming. Thank you for always making my children feel so important and they get excited to come see you ladies! Everyone is so patient, friendly and kind… they took their time with my son who was terrified and now doesn’t mind coming. Again … thank you Kids and Teens!

My family and I love this place and I feel lucky to have found it each and every time I visit! We’ve been coming here for 11 years now, referred by my sister in law who knows the dental field well as she is a hygienist at an adult clinic. I have nothing but praise for this clinic, in particular for our beloved hygienist, Melissa, and our dentist Dr. Corbeil:) I have never been in a more child friendly place! The waiting room is something to behold! Tree house built into the middle of the room, projector on the floor video games, playhouse with a child sized door! And that’s just the beginning! Each room has been professionally hand painted in bright and happy child friendly themes! The knobs for the cabinet doors are even chrome toothbrushes and toothpaste! Melissa and Dr. Corbeil always greet us with smiles and put my children at ease no matter what the procedure. They are professional and kind and amazing with children and parents alike! As an adult with a fear of dentistry from my childhood days, I knew I found a great place when my children were excited to go to the dentist! I am happy to say that this place exceeds my expectations and I highly recommend it!

As a dental professional, I only trust my children with Dr. Nikoui and her wonderful staff. All the doctors at this clinic are fantastic. I cannot recommend them enough!
