I have Dr.kristi and Amanda as the team always doing work on me. I have to say as someone with anxiety they ALWAYS make me feel so at ease and now I'm actually happy to go! Weird right. I truly cannot say enough good things about them and this dental office.

Best dentist I’ve ever been to. I’m typically scared of the dentist but this place was recommended to me by a friend and I’m so glad I went. Dr. Robert Camastra made me so comfortable and it was overall a great experience. 10/10 would recommend.

After a couple bad dental experiences, I had neglected my teeth and needed extensive work. Dr. Noah and his assistant Michelle C.immediately put my fears to rest. I am extremely happy with the results so far and even look forward to my dental appointments now.

One of the best places I have ever been. The flexibility in appointments is amazing. Usually people tell me I have to wait 2-3 months before I can book an appt but the hours at KR are great for my work schedule, and the service is top notch.

What an amazing experience at the office. Both Mr and Mrs DR Bedi, Marcy, Santana and Kendra took great care of me. From the initial appointment to getting my wisdom teeth removed they made me feel at home and it was welcoming. It only took 7 minutes for dr Bedi to remove my wisdom teeth. I have too many good things to say.

This place is the worst! I will never go back or tell anyone to go! The people were ok but the dentist was a complete waste of time and money!

Great experience with Dr. Robert and Somer the lactation consultant. My baby had the tongue tie procedure and now is able to drink more effectively, he sleeps better, and is overall a happier baby!

I normally do not write reviews however, the staff here deserve the recognition. I researched before coming to this office as I had a traumatic experience else where.
Dr. Albert camastra is dealing with my case, but I have had the pleasure to have his son dr. Rob do some work, along with the most caring, funny assistants Sarah and Sabryna among others. Jen at the front desk and Melissa in accounts. I honestly could not be more pleased to be going to this clinic, knowing I am in good hands. They have done everything possible to help me recover from what happened at another office and I can’t thank them all enough.

We had an emergency appointment tonight for my 8 year old son, and our first appointment with this clinic as well. It was recommended to me by a friend and after reading reviews as well I decided it was the right decision. I am beyond happy with my choice, Dr. Chris Chekay and his assistant were incredible. With unforeseen issues arising, they thoroughly explained the decision they thought was best, all while being very kind and explaining everything to my son. It was a great experience and we will definitely be coming back!

Excellent care at KRD. The support and business administrative staff are excellent and the professionals working on your oral health are very good at explaining what they are doing, need to do and keep your file monitored. What I found impressive is that your doctor won't be coming in to your appointment with just that appointment in mind. They have your chart fully reviewed well in advance. It isn't "Ok, lets fill a cavity" Its "so, you're monitoring how your smile looks, today we do xyz and next week we follow up. In 4 months, you're booked for a cleaning and then we have such and such a program thereafter". That is professional and informative. Tell a friend. They do good work.

Wow, what an amazing dental experience. I had noise cancelling headphones, tv, and a massage chair while I had fillings done. The staff are so knowledgeable and compassionate. I loved my experience here.

Yes I had anxiety at the start but she assured me all would be ok. They really do specialize in people who are very fearful of dental work. And it was ok because she was beside me the whole time. She is amazing at her job. Then there is Louise, the crown specialist who has been designing and fitting crowns here for 19 years! All done the same day… no coming back. She too is amazing at her job. You’re done with 2 beautiful crowns in a few hours. You can even watch them being milled. Dr Robert Camastra…. Wow very patient, very skilled and extremely concerned with your comfort and mental state as well. These people enjoy working together, support each other fully and their primary concern is YOU! We saw Dr. Camastra for a tongue and lip tie on my infant, and the whole team was professional, explained everything thoroughly and my son is doing much better after the procedure! I would highly reccomend.

The entire team is exceptionally knowledgeable, efficient, and organized. All staff are very friendly, and pricing is great as well.

I went in yesterday for a supposed "cleaning" which is what the hygienist told me from my prior appointment to get there and discover I was getting fillings done. At my prior appointment the dental hygienist told me i had spots to watch out for but a filing was not necessary yet which is why I was confused I was getting a filling. The filling was not the problem but I was not expecting to go in and spend such a large amount. I was not offered a payment plan or offered to pay in instalments, with the appointment being so close to Christmas I was not expecting to pay such an absurd amount in which I was not informed the appointment would be for & vastly disappointed that the billing department did not make me aware I could pay in instalments. 100% switching dentists. The lack of communication that was demonstrated with me as a client is disappointing if I could give a zero star rating I would.

I would also recommend you ask exactly what work they are performing because mine was a supposed cleaning and turned out they gave me four filings which I was told prior I did not need.
WILL be consulting my lawyer about this matter!

My 5 year old flipper broke biting into a cookie, I phoned king-Ritson dental. It was Friday after hours, I wasn’t expecting to hear from anybody until Monday. The team at King-Ritson dental had an appointment booked with me promptly Saturday morning.

They came up with a financially friendly situation as I am self employed; no insurance. The office staff, dentists, assistants, everybody was a pleasure to deal with. I highly recommend to anyone. I remember the main dentist I was dealing with was Dr. Diana Boodram, she was great. As well as the others!

I had an amazing visit. Dr Kristi has such a fantastic handle on nervous patients. I was blown away from the comfort level, they provide. And his dental assistant Amanda Fortino is funny and knowledgeable, very helpful. It is great to find a good reliable team to visit.

Amazing clinic! Full of very friendly and competent staff. Upon my first visit, I was greeted by Amanda, who was very kind and helpful. Eloisa helped with my X-rays and setting up my file. She made me laugh a lot and helped to put me at ease. Jovie took care of my cleaning and she was an absolute joy to sit with. During my second visit, I had the pleasure of meeting Debbie who completed my cleaning. She was so personable and made my visit very enjoyable. If I could leave more than 5 stars I would. I highly recommend this clinic to everyone!

What an amazing experience I had upon taking my mother to King Ritson Dental.

She was experiencing some pain on one of her teeth a few weeks ago so I decided to make an appointment to get it checked.

My mother doesn't speak English and is also visually impaired, with those challenges Sadia; Dr. Ku's Assistant was very helpful in getting my mother on the chair and making her comfortable. Sadia took the care to speak to me slowly so that I could translate it at all to my mother.

When Dr. Ku arrived for the check, she too was very empathetic towards my mother’s needs, she was gentle and spoke slowly so that I could translate it back to her.

Dr. Ku proceeded to finish the treatment and made her recommendations.

She also made sure to make a note on my mother’s file to keep her on the Main Floor due to her disability.

When we had to book her back in, Teresa was the receptionist that took care of her next appointment, she greeted my mother and was kind when talking to her, she made her feel important by addressing her then I would proceed to translating.

My mother left the clinic feeling positive and confident about her appointment, she told me how she felt the genuine care from the Team here at King Ritson Dental.

Now let’s fast forward to her follow up appointment with Michelle M two weeks later. Michelle M was so kind with my mom upon arriving for her appointment she came out to greet us. We went to her room and sat my mother on the chair, Michelle M was well informed of my mother’s chart and asked the right questions to get the answers she needed to complete the appointment.

She made recommendations to make my mother feel comfortable during the procedure, she wanted to avoid any sort of pain for her so she would stop often to see if mom was doing ok.
It was very heart warming for me to see how my mother was treated, I was very confident knowing she will be in good hands.

Ive been going to king ritson for many years now, my family and my extended family go to them as well. Ive searched years for a good dentist and this is the first dental clinic I feel at home with. They are so good and gentle with my daughter and they always work out payments plans. Definitely 5 star, high quality care and very nice and caring employee.

Dr. Julian Camastra, and Eileen were wonderful-after I chipped my tooth they were able to get me in for a repair right away, and my tooth looks better than new! They were friendly and reassuring, and made me feel comfortable and safe despite the pandemic conditions. I was good as new in less than an hour!

I have been a patient of Dr. Camastra for over 34 years and have never had a bad experience. Quite the opposite, Dr Camastra and his team go out of their way to make sure you are comfortable with everything that is happening. The best part of this practice now is that the younger Camastra's have joined the practice and they are carrying on wonderfully in the very big shoes their dad left them to fill. Strongly recommend!

Dr. Dagher and his staff are exceptional! They certainly help make you feel comfortable in a very stressful situation. Dr. Dagher is very professional and does excellent work all the while making sure you are as comfortable as possible. He is very honest while explaining every step of your procedure.

The most honest review you will read!

I was a patient of Dr. Al Camastra (owner of king / ritson dental) for 37 years (i was 6yrs old) My entire family were patients of dr. Camastras back when he first started out on the second floor of the plaza over by king st and harmony rd.
As far as dental skills, dr. Camastra is an AMAZING dentist, second to none. However.as the years have gone on and dr. Camastra has aged and also grown as a company this place has really gone down hill. Dr. Camastra himself doesn't practice much anymore as he is in his 60's. Instead It has become a VERY corporate style office now that cares only about money. The " family dentistry " and personal touch is long gone (shame)
I tried to stick it out as a patient here but a few years ago decided to leave. I found the constant rotation of staff and overall rudness of some of those staff and greed no longer worth my time or money, Especially the little european female dentist (can't remember her name) is incredibly ignorant and always makes you feel like you are inconvincing her by being there.
It's really to bad that Camastra allowed his busines to become so greedy and impersonal because he honestly had a great practice at one point.

P.s a note to dr. Camastra, thank you for all your years of amazing service. I hope you enjoy retirement but.before you go try to put " family dentistry" back into your business, it really does make all the difference

I’ve always had some anxiety going to the dentist. Dr Chris offered me laughing gas for my fillings and it made a huge difference. Highly recommend due to the comfort and quality of care

I had a vertically cracked tooth that was cracked to below the bone line. Dr. Robert surgically removed bone with a laser in order to successfully repair the tooth with a crown. The entire procedure was all done in one 3 hour visit. I am so impressed and thankful. Dr. Robert's technical skills combined with his state of the art equipment saved my tooth. Thank you. I highly recommend him.

I have been a patient of Dr. Camastra's since 2012 and have had nothing but great experiences at every visit. My 4 year old loves coming to have her teeth cleaned and is always excited to see the fish! They always make sure I am comfortable for any treatment appointments, offering laughing gas and music. I have converted my whole family to King Ritson Dental and they now refer their friends and family. You will not be disappointed here!

I had a cavity develop below a crown on a back tooth. I had to have the crown removed, a filling in the tooth, a root canal and temporary filling. Everything was done painlessly and in about 30 minutes. I couldn't believe I was actually finished.

From the moment you are greeted at the front desk, to the assistants, hygienists, billing, and dentist.you know you are being cared for in a world class facility. They are concerned with every aspect of your care.from the exceptional dentistry.to the emotional/psychological sense that you are in good hands. Faced with the recent challenges of Covid-19, I was hesitant to book a dental appointment at this time. However, the King Ritson Dental Clinic and team have done an excellent job in providing a welcoming and safe environment during these tough times.

The staff at the clinic are very personable and professional from the moment you walk in the door to the moment you leave, making it easy to feel comfortable and at ease. The staff thoroughly explained the procedure beforehand, answering any questions I had, and even stopping several times throughout to make sure I was doing okay.

I told the staff I was very nervous for the needle beforehand, so I was offered a topical numbing gel, laughing gas, and noise cancelling headphones to help me feel calm and relaxed. To add, Dr. Rob Camastra gave me the most painless needle I have ever had.

Overall, I had an extremely positive experience at the King Ritson Dental Clinic. I would highly recommend this clinic to my friends and family.

When I was in the office the past 2 times this year, I had wonderful treatment. I am highly nervous and the staff helped me to remain calm during my procedures.

I have major anxiety and a stomach issue which means I came in needing lots of work done! They’ve been extremely patient with me and helped keep pricing low as I don’t have benefits! They’re so kind, encouraging and amazing at their jobs! They make sure to keep you comfortable and as informed as possible! With a straight fear of dentists I couldn’t recommend King Ritson dental clinic enough!
If you’re on a budget or have major anxiety give them a try to change your experience completely!

Dr Robert Camastra was very kind to fit me into his schedule last minute and provide me with great service! He will make you laugh and put you at ease throughout your procedure. I would recommend him to anyone.

I have been suffering from my weird- positioned tooth for 4 years and none of the 5+ doctors I’ve seen suggested something that worked! Today, finally, Dr. Farah Walji removed it and grafted the bone to prepare for an implant later. I had a unexpected experience that went smoothly although my case was complicated and the tooth was almost impossible to extract! I really appreciate the two hours Dr. Walji and Nurse Alona spent comforting me as they were very calm during the process! Thank you!

I am just a little disappointed in Dr. Kristi He takes no ownership of his work, well he does at my expense. I got a small filling in my front tooth which cost 200 dollars. It fell out in less than 8 hours, so I called a couple of days later on a Friday and they got me in on Saturday. He fixed the filling but I found out a week later he billed me another 300. When I call to complain that new filling had come out as Well. It took almost a month to get their desicion which was I could get back my 300 if I got the tooth fixed properly. I was a little shocked but not surprised. I feel that it's here is your 300 but I am going to Bill u 1500 now so I still lose. It's sad as I have been going here for well over 20 years not sure but my dentist helped start this clinic, it's to bad he retired. The staff are great but I refuse to give anymore of my money to someone who will not accept their responsibility. But hey I have a tooth that looks worse than when I first went in and it only cost my insurance 500. That's bargin.

All staff are very nice and helpful here. My hygienist, Crystal was patient and skillful. Dr. Julian was very knowledgeable and professional. He took my wisdom teeth out and he was very attentive. My recovery has been very smooth. I'm very pleased with my experiences.

By far, the absolute best dental clinic in Durham Region. I have been going here for approximately 20 years. Dr. Camastra and his team go above and beyond every visit. All efforts are made to ensure procedures are explained, and so many comforts are given to the patient to make them feel at ease and comfortable in the chair. Looking forward to another 20+ years. It's not often you hear someone say they love going to the dentist, but that is exactly how I feel about this place!

Most recently, Dr. Robert Camastra and his team assisted me with recolouring and fixing one of my previously injured teeth. The team did an incredible job, from personally guiding me over text message, assisting with the insurance, and providing recommendations on the best procedures. I’m always relieved with the care and kindness I receive from the team at King Ritson Dental. I have had some invasive procedures in the past few weeks and their patience and gentle manner have made the experience less intimidating. Brittany at the front desk is always so friendly and the staff seem to really enjoy their jobs. I have been going here for about 6 years and I highly recommend this clinic.

After taking a hiatus from the dentist due previous bad experience and being a bundle of nerves, I had developed (obvious) mouth problems that needed to be addressed and a friend had suggested visiting Dr. Robert Camastra at King Ritson because of their friendly atmosphere and good work.
During my initial consultation I was greeted warmly by everyone I came into contact with and Dr. Robert and his assistants have been so amazing in helping me over the last few months getting my mouth healthy and getting on track to being the smile I’d want.

There are no more nervous feelings when thinking about going to the dentist, my mouth feels amazing, and I’d thankful for the team to get me to this point. I would happily recommend someone to visit this dentist.

It was my first time going to The King Ritson Dental Clinic as I am not from Oshawa, despite the distance I will continue to go back for all my future dental needs. I was staying in Oshawa during the pandemic. I wanted to try King Ritson because it was so close to where I was staying. I liked how they had appointments late in the evening and on the weekends.

At my first appointment they stated I needed to have periodontal work done and braces. This was shocking to me as I see my dentist regularly and never has this come up. This wasn't a 'cosmetic' suggestion but rather the health of my teeth/gums. Several estimates were submitted for the periodontal work but I didn't go through with it as I wasn't sure if it was necessary and wanted to get a second opinion.

I made an appointment to get a night guard when I was there. I've received night guards before and it's usually only about $40-$50 after benefits have paid out.  They submitted an estimate where the lab fee was $220. My benefits are good  but they only cover up to $170 in lab fees.  I called my regular dentist in Toronto (I thought maybe the lab fees had gone way up) but they confirmed their lab fee was $140. This was a big red flag for me. I called  KR and asked to speak with a manager. I explained the situation. They made a strange comment, regarding the $140 lab fee that 'maybe the dentist's sister owned the lab and that is why they only charge $140'. I explained I wouldn't be getting the night guard through them if they went with a lab that charged $220 ($80 more!) because my benefits would only cover up to $170.   They ended up going with a lab that only charged $155. I just don't understand why a company wouldn't automatically go with a lab that charged so much less. The person I spoke with said it was good I called so she could pass on the information I provided (that there is a lab in Toronto that charges only $140 for the same thing). I didn't receive any follow up after that so I'm not sure if my comments were passed on.

I also found it took a long time to get an appointment. The times I tried to call to change my appointment I would get transferred and then get voicemail. I left a message but I didn't get a call back which I thought was quite poor.

The main thing that resonated with me was their strong suggestion to have the very expensive gum work done and braces. I felt like I was being taken advantage of, and I've never ever felt that way in a dentist setting.   My regular dentist confirmed it wasn't necessary at all to have this procedure.   He said I could have it done if it bothered me cosmetically but from the health of my teeth/gums it wasn't necessary.   Hearing him say this really bothered me, and reinforced my thought that they were taking advantage of this expensive but unnecessary procedure. I'm sure KR will give all the reasons I should and how they are in compliance with the Dental Association etc.but I no longer trust them.

I wasn't going to leave a review but after seeing my dentist I felt strongly I should.   As my dentist said, this kind of thing really gives dentists a bad name.

In these pandemic times I was lucky enough to have had a series of dental procedures over a period of 3 months. How fortunate I am to be a patient of Dr. Robert Camastra - one of 3 family dentists at King Ritson, Oshawa. This is a very competent, up to date, and very caring dental facility.
When you spend 2 -3 hours in a dentist chair over a period of 3 months it can be quite daunting! Surprisingly the time went by quickly and very successfully resulting in a beautiful smile that I had never had before. I actually looked forward to my next dental appointments. This had a lot to do with the very positive and fun personality of Dr. Robert!
I can't remember ever having this kind of dental experience in my 70+ years!

As good as an experience that you can have at the dentist I will say that I had a fantastic experience with KR Dental, more specifically, Dr. Robert Camastra and the hygienist Tammy. I would strongly recommend this dentistry to everyone I know due to my experience.

I went in because of a broken tooth during the Covid-19 pandemic which is not ideal, but emergencies happen and thankfully they were one of the only offices available. They were very careful of who they let inside, took everyone's temperature before allowing them in and were very welcoming and personable from the start. Not only did they lay out every option available in great detail, they were very patient and empathetic through the entire process.

They even called me the next day while I was recovering at home to check up on me. I can't stress enough how different and positive this dental office is compared to others that I've been to. They are now my full-time dentist.

Great experience here! It was my first time finding a dentist by myself and I was getting my wisdom teeth out, so I was naturally super nervous. Dr. El Masri was wonderful and careful to go at a pace that I was comfortable with, and told me what was happening during the procedure. He could tell I was nervous, was watching for jitters, and helped me feel comfortable. The procedure itself was easy and over before I knew it! The calmness of the workers and efficiency of the the actual process helped relax me. I'm from Halton but definitely want to use King Ritson for my dental appointments in the future.
