It's my first time to use the service here, I'm impressed with the service. Because my back pain and foot pain disappeared. In addition, it is convenient to travel here. And most importantly, I can absorb the atmosphere of Thai massage. It's as if I'm really in Thailand <3 Hugggggggg

My friend and I did a couples massage yesterday. I have to say, communication needs to improve at this place. You need to explain better the steps of the process. Also I felt my girl was just too moody. She yawned several times, she left in the middle to use the bathroom, at least say something. And she put too much pressure on my back, it’s sore now, and not good kinda sore, it’s painful as if I got hit in the back. This place needs improvements and I’m not one to complain.

It was 3am in the morning on Friday and I was in so much pain that I needed to find a place nearby that still had available slots for me on Friday. I found King Thai Massage on Yonge & St Clair, I read the reviews, the good ones and the bad ones, I booked my appointment online, picked the massage therapist whose names kept coming up in the good reviews (Benci), and received a confirmation of my appointment.

When I arrived there it was 1 pm sharp (the time of my appointment), on my way there I had dreaded the reaction of the receptionist if I had come late (the negative comments all complained about some cold unwelcoming Eastern-European receptionist). What I found instead was an adorable East-Asian young man with a big smile on his face and a beautiful energy! I was the only customer, the temperature was perfect (air conditioning I guess), there was some relaxation music playing with the perfect volume and I noticed the free drinks at the entrance: cold water, hot water and some DELICIOUS sweet ginger tea! Feel free to help yourself in those eco friendly cups. The receptionist asked me if I had an appointment, he found me in the system. Then he asked me what type of massage I wanted. I had checked online (I knew I wouldn’t like the Thai massage, I can’t even crack my fingers ewwww), I told him where my pain was, he asked about my doctor’s opinion as he had to make sure there was no underlying medical condition. I assured him that my blood work from 3-4 weeks ago was perfectly normal. He suggested that I should do a deep-tissue massage and took me to my room.

I walked the corridor following his footsteps, and I found the place quite lovely! The relaxation music was everywhere, not just at the reception. The whole place was extremely chill and pleasant and clean and soothing on a Friday afternoon early August downtown Toronto! I loved that bubble of peace. He gave me a clean white sheet to cover myself with once I’m lying down in my underwear.

There were two beds, he told me to lie down on the higher one. I undressed but THERE WAS NO PLACE FOR ME TO PUT MY STUFF, no chair, no coat rack… That is the only negative point. I put everything on the window stool behind the curtain.

The masseuse gently knocked at the door the second I was ready! She was sooo nice and professional! She would listen to my pain and focus on the problematic areas! It’s the first time (in so many massages in so many countries) that someone actually cares about my needs in particular and doesn’t just do their routine for the requested type of massage. When a spot was painful, Benci would know exactly where to put her fingers! Once, the pain was in my upper back, but she started massaging one side of my neck and THAT UPPER-BACK PAIN DISAPPEARED! I told her she was a magician! She kept asking me if I was feeling better in some areas, and I was. 60 minutes went by like 10 minutes. Even though we hadn’t started at 1 pm sharp, we were done at 2 pm sharp. TIP TO WHOMEVER READS THIS: Get there in advance so that you can have your full 60 minutes on the massage table.

I put my clothes back on, went back to the reception, found a masseuse napping on a massage table in the corridor (it’s ok, you do you, I’m gonna take a nap myself once I get home) and I thought that for her to be able to do that, the management had to be kind and understanding.

Time to pay. The receptionist told me that he would deduce the $10 I had already paid online to book the appointment and that I should pay $105 tax included. It was so affordable that I had to leave a good tip to Benci! I had a refill of ginger tea and I sat in the waiting room, sipping my delicious beverage, enjoying the peace and quiet… I certainly didn’t want to leave. I wish I could go there every week (no, I’m kidding: EVERY DAY!) The receptionist gave me one last tip: because you had deep tissue massage, sometimes the pain can come back if you don’t relax those tissues, so take a warm shower within the next couple of hours! I didn’t. Wish I had though. Shoutout to every massage therapist on Earth.

Great accommodation, I brought my foreign friends there for Thai massage the past week, everyone said it was awesome! Keep up the good work. The staffs there were quite professional which made my friends' first-time experience with Thai massage gone well.

This is the first negative review I've given and I hope it will lead to more hygienic and professional practices: Within minutes of starting my Thai massage, I noticed that the masseuse had brought her phone onto the table and was using it to read while holding stretches. It was extremely unprofessional and unhygienic, to say the least. Then, I noticed that the oil bottle was dirty, with hair stuck to the side. I regret booking and wish I had read more of the negative reviews first.

Great place I experienced my first Thai/Swedish massage there. The masseuse lady did great job. Lots of stretching to and at the end finished it off with Swedish massage which was so relaxing after all those stretching and my sore back felt so loose. I will definitely recommend this place.

The receptionist (eastern European lady) was rude and acted so entitled when dealing with me. Here is what happened. I called and booked a massage with her by phone so then she said I need to give a credit card over the phone to book. For security reasons I dont like to do that so I said that I will walk in at around 2pm.
When I arrived, she tells me to fill out a health form (no eye contact and very abrupt attitude) A spa is supposed to be a relaxing place where u are treated well by all involved even the receptionist. Even if the employee is faking it, they should learn to fake it properly especially with your high prices and tip included etc.

So I fill in the form and give it to her and then she tells me that the masseuse is available at 330pm. So I said "okay I'll go get something to eat outside and return before 330pm for my appointment. Then get ready for it.she says "oh if u leave and come back at 330pm then u will have to wait again. " So this receptionist was forcing me to sit there 1.5 hours and would not allow me to step out for food while I wait for the appointment?
That was the last straw, I asked for my health form back and told her to have a nice day.
I have been to Thai massage places where they know how to treat the customer and maybe the other employees there are good but sadly I did not go through with any appointment now and in the future. Please consider retraining that receptionist. Have a nice day.

The following is a reply to the owners response to my initial post on March 19: The owner states that they needed $10 deposit in order to allow me to leave the massage studio and go get something to eat? Okay, that would be fine with me but the problem was that your RECEPTIONIST did not explain that to me! She told me that if I left to get something to eat, then I would have to wait again when my appointment started 330pm thats it. No other options.
You see the abrupt attitude? The lack of explanation? Please don't tell me that your policy made me "feel bad", it is the receptionist's lack of customer service skills (i.e. Explaining that she needed $10 deposit so that I can leave and eat something in order for her to hold me place at 330pm) which caused me to write this review. Have a nice day.

I came with foot pain and left with the same foot pain. I lived in Thailand for a bit so have had many Thai massages. This one was just ok. RMTs didn’t ask about pressure or which areas have pain. Also movements felt rushed and repetitive. For the price of an RMT massage (over $300 after tax for two 90 min massages), I would rather go to Hand & Stone massage instead. Way better quality for similar or less cost. I’m glad I was able to book this place the day before but other than booking on short notice, it doesn’t have much else going for it.

Everyone here is extremely skilled, the environment is very relaxing with hot ginger tea and tranquil music playing. Lanka, the receptionist, is so friendly and professional. She has made several recommendations about massage styles and techniques that have been very enjoyable!

Affordable prices, great location (right on st clair and Yonge intersection), smooth process for booking appointments. Make sure you reach 5-10 mins before scheduled time.

Really nice service and a nice massage. For some ever having a Thai massage. Different than expected, feel nice and refreshed.

I would definitely do it again.

Horrible customer service! I called the receptionist and asked about the fees after deducting my insurance coverage, but she said you need to pay partial amount now and book a session and come here so I’ll tell you the exact amount.
So I did it. However, once I got there, she said we have technical issues and I don’t know how much it will be.
I insisted because I really didn’t want a massage, I just wanted to use my insurance services lol, so the price was important to me, but she refused to calculate. I even asked her to rescheduled my appointment but she said you need to pay the full amount for today because the massager is waiting for you! It was ridicules? !
Long story short, she made me wait for another hour and she reduced the massage time to 45 minutes instead of 60 minutes and at the end, I had to paid the full amount to claim the insurance after…
And regarding the massage itself, I have to say the massage with Gail was absolutely amazing! 5/5 for the massager

Did not know what to expect when booking a massage at King Thai. They took insurance and were able to book me in same day.

The pricing was reasonable and the staff were very attentive. I planned to do just a regular massage but was encouraged to try the foot and Thai massage. It was a great suggestion and very relaxing. My masseuse was smaller thankfully because I’m very tiny and was a little nervous when she started climbing on me! Hahah a very unique experience and enjoyable.

From that day we got massage, we have lots of unusual pain in our internal organ. My belly, stomach and shoulder hurts and obviously something wrong had happened. And the other thing is I booked and confirmed with a male and female but every two times they gave us two female which it costs more. They confirmed with a male and a female and didn't mentioned us that there will no male work on that day! Two times is not accidentally.
P.s: yes at first was ok but after few days we still have pain! What doyiu mean by this reply then!? Of course we say thank you!

I've had good and bad massages around the world. This was Amazing. Specifically as for KALA. She is an extremely knowledgeable, powerful, hilarious, and overall beautiful person who gave me one of the best massages I've ever had. Do at least 90 minutes. You'll love it and love her! Ask for Kala!

Best to book appointments online, administration isn’t the greatest, but the Thai massages were great.

Me and my wife booked the couple's package - option 3. This is very nice and clean establishment. The foot massage was one of the best we've had worldwide. The Thai massage was comparable to the best Thai massage we've had in Tokyo. One word of warning, unlike every other massage place, this one charges tax (not included in the price). Price, tax, and tip included, this is one of the most expensive places I've visited in the world ($280 package + $40 tax + $60 tip). Also, I did find it slightly annoying that they give you shirt/pants to wear and then have you take your shirt off during part of the Thai massage and then put it back on. Not sure why they cant just use a towel like other places.

I absolutely love this place! I’ve been going for over a year and I know that all of their staff is great! I highly recommend it!

Clean, professional and peaceful. They have the licenses of all their massage staff, which is reassuring. When you arrive you have to take your shoes off but they provide you slippers. Tbh, I dont like the idea of wearing sandals worn by the open public. It doesnt look like they're cleaned/sanitized between clients. I recommend bringing your own flip flops if you're particular about that sorta thing like I am. Outside of the flip flops everything else looks nice and sanitary. After you check in they put u in your massage room and given massage clothes to change into. Some of the rooms aren't closed in, like no ceiling. So while I'm sitting getting my feet washed and rubbed, I can clearly hear the guy getting massaged in the room next to me which is a lil creepy. I dont wanna hear someone moan and groan, yuck. I was ultimately able to block it out, it's not a big deal but worth noting. After your awesome and affordable massage, you change back into your clothes and then they bring you freshly brewed herbal tea. It's an awesome way to end a relaxing peaceful experience.

This place is just great! I had Thai massage with Gale and it was on another level. She's really skilled and knows exactly what she is doing. She was able to release tension in area that were achy for months. Very friendly staff, clean place, relaxing music and price too is reasonable compare to other locations in Midtown and Downtown. I definitely recommend it.

Not very clean. They gave me the medical history questionnaire to complete after the massage was done. The masseur wasn’t very professional.

I had purchased a Groupon massage. When I bought it they didn't write o specify that the hours with Groupon were from 8: 00am to 4: 00pm. Today I had called and send all information based on what Groupon specify when you purchase and requested to make an appointment for Friday and they didn't let me make it a 7: 30pm. They told me that I'm not able to do it because the time. We supposed to go with our friends to have a relaxing time but now we all don't want to go to a place that all personal has a bad customer service.
