King West Village Cleaners and tailors

The owner and the ladies at reception are fantastic. Excellent customer service. However the tailors/steamstresses are very bad. I’ve tried several times with various basic items (Jean hem, shirt hem, etc) and it’s always been done just poorly enough to be unwearable and incorrectable, and I have to discard to item. Very disappointing and frustrating.

Best service, so kind, and of course they got a really bad stain out of a very delicate sweater! 10/10:)

I cannot say enough good things about King West Village Cleaners. The service is always amazing and the staff are so friendly. They have personally got me out of a few last minute jams by cleaning or pressing a shirt I needed asap. They even pressed my tuxedo shirt last minute for my wedding.

Reasonable prices and really lovely staff. Have had dry cleaning done here and alterations and have been really happy with both!

Extremely friendly, honest (I had forgotten to tell them about a missing button when I went in and they tried to take responsibility for it and find me a replacement), and did a great job on my items! Recommend!

Bad service and I believe it’s not worth price for their work too.
I left my jeans for zipper repair, they assured that in a week everything will be ready for pick up. I went to the store in a week (on Saturday), it was not ready and we agreed that whenever my item is ready for pick up, they will text me.
I have never received message from them and I believe that they failed eta.
It was not super urgent task but none has been
letting me know about any delay.

UPDT: the salon kindly offered different options to resolve an issue.

I’ve been coming here for 6 months and I have to make mention of how impressed I am with the quality of service and timeliness when I’ve needed things dry cleaned urgently for travel. Amanda is very kind and so are the other many staff that have helped me. Highly recommend! Thanks guys!

Extremely disappointed. I was a client here for years, always content and recommending to friends. The last time I was picking up, I was looking over everything and one of my favourite blouses had a hole in the middle chest area that was not there when I had dropped it off. They had patched it up to hide it and didn’t point it out to me, so I was surprised to see it. Because I was past 30 days picking up they weren’t liable for damages. They didn’t take ownership of the issue or cover the value of the item. Unfortunately, I will not be returning. They also said they are not a high end dry cleaner - I wasn’t aware of this.

My favourite spot for cleaning and tailoring in the city. The owner and staff are super polite and the prices are really fair. Couldn’t recommend it more!

Truly a real neighbourhood find. Friendly, knowledgeable staff who greeted me by name on my second visit. Meticulous workmanship with alterations to pants, shirts and jackets. Reliable cleaning, always ready as promised. Highly recommended.

King West Cleaners went above and beyond for me. I needed some items cleaned on a rush in advance of a meeting and they ensured that everything got cleaned in time, and even opened early to allow me to pick my items up.

Further, they were able to remove a stain that I was certain would be on one of my shirts for good. Overall a fantastic service and I would recommend King West Cleaners to anybody!

Very poor. Brought ten shirts for simple alteration. Got it wrong twice, charged me twice, and the shirts are still unwearable.

Wayne and his staff go above and beyond for you here - I don’t know how Wayne remembers EVERY customer’s name (it’s got to be a superpower!) but he makes everyone feel special and gives them a personalized experience every time. The clothes always come back in a timely manner, looking and smelling super clean. The prices are very, very affordable and reasonable especially considering it’s on King Street. Alterations, dry-cleaning, everything 10/10 but the real thing that keeps people coming back is the friendly staff.

Really overpriced (about 2-3 times the market rate), rude guy at the front desk, I would say there are about 12 other better options. Avoid at all costs!

Wayne is super friendly and offers great service. Hadi has altered several pants for me and does such a wonderful job.

I've been coming here for over a year for all my alteration needs. Hadi did an amazing job with an old pair of suit pants. Before I looked like I was entering the 2004 NBA draft and after I got them back, the look was much more modern and slim fitting. Wayne and Hadi both do amazing work and I always know I'm getting peace of mind when I take something to them.

Wayne is a master of tailoring. I brought him a suit that fit terribly, and he transformed it into something that fits like a glove and looks custom-made. Best in town.

I normally do not write reviews but the owner did an amazing job - I brought in a white silk dress with 2 year old sweat stains on it, hoping something could be done about it. They went above and beyond and brought it back to its original condition. They were also helpful in providing some tips on how to prevent this in the future.

Honestly, this place deserves 10 stars. From putting original hem back on jeans, to getting RED WINE out of my WHITE dress to the best customer relations. I love you, Wayne.
