I hired Kings Valley Paving to replace my asphalt driveway after the city had done work on the street and ripped up part of the driveway. After they did the work, I noticed dips or indentations in the driveway which would cause water pooling in summer and ice patches in winter. They acknowledged the defects (on the contract) in writing, and said they would repair or replace the driveway if they couldn't repair it.
After many many calls, emails, voicemails etc, and huge delays, they finally came back to replace the driveway. Unfortunately, they again did a substandard job, and there are new dips/indentations/ponding (it is worse than the first time).
In addition they damaged one of the large eramosa stones (on my walkway). They tried to deny that they had damaged the stone, and eventually said I would have to pay for the cost of a new stone (it is a 2" thick large stone, which is quite expensive) that they would do the labour. They reneged on that after a few days later. In addition they flatly refused to fix the ponding/divits in the driveway.
Bottom line, I am out the money I paid for the new driveway, it is ponding (so big puddles, and big ice patches in winter), they damaged an expensive stone in my walkway, and they are not willing to take responsibility for any of this.
In my view, this company is one to avoid. Do not hire them. Their work is substandard, their attitude is horrible, they do not communicate, they do everything they can to avoid you (other than taking your money). If you want to avoid major hassles and sub standard work, don't hire this company.

Just thought I would post a follow up. In their reply to my initial post, they said "sorry to hear about your experience" and asked me to call the office again and they would look into this and investigate further. I called them right away. They took my name and number and promised someone would get back to me. No one has and it has been over a week. This is standard operating procedure for Kings Valley Paving.

One further follow up. I have not heard anything from Kings Valley Paving Inc (other than the post which they put on this website). No return calls, emails or other communication, even though I reached out to them by phone as requested. Similarly, I filed a complaint with the Better Business Bureau. The BBB reached out to the company several times, but the BBB has had no response from the company and have informed me that is all they can do.

We did a huge upgrade to our back yard and wanted to repave the driveway after all the heavy equipment and trucks were done. Jim from Kings Valley Paving had priced the job in the spring and was happy to wait out our backyard project. Once we called to let him know we were ready to go ahead, Jim and his crew were on time as promised to tear up our existing old asphalt, level and pack the gravel. Within a couple of days the crew were back to lay the new pavement and an awesome job they did! So nice to have a level and beautiful driveway to finish off our home renovation!

I had a great experience with Jason and the crew was friendly. They made sure to cleanup including the road in front of my house was washed down before they left. Pricing was very fair!

Excellent communication about services offered. On time, AMAZING job re-paving my driveway. Old pavement had to be removed and new pavement installed - very happy with results! Would recommend:)

No stars if i could, they didn't honour the contract, they were unaware of the contract, i had to provide a copy, unresponsive, never got back to me, i had to use another company to pave, will be taking this to small claims court, you guys are horrible! I even served them with a Claim and no response provided! Will obtain judgement against your company!

Finished my driveway and it looked amazing within 6 months my driveway started to crack. I message them and was told they would get back to me. It's been 7 months and no one has gotten back to me. My driveway is filled with cracks. Disappointed
