Kingston - Wolfe Island Ferry

Absolutely amazing free service from Kingston to Wolfe Island. It runs at an hourly schedule starting from Wolfe island at 5: 30 am until 1: 30 am and from Kingston starting at 6: 00 am and the last ride is at 2: 00 am. Almost 50 cars capacity.

As ferries go, it is generally on time and the personnel are efficient at controlling waiting lines and loading. The return of Horne's ferry to Cape Vincent has reduce pressure on the Wolfe Islander. There are fewer multi-sailing waits than was the case until mid-summer.

It's a ferry crossing. It was on time and we didn't drown. The only issue I have is the size of the ferry or an increase in the number of crossings especially during the summer.

Absolutely FREE for pedestrians/vehicles. No ticketing. Parked in lot on Kingston side; lined up on the road (NOT lot) on Wolfe Is. Got out for photos despite signage to remain in vehicles-np.

This 30 minute journey to the island from downtown Kingston was a 'time filler' on a wet day. The free crossing was on one of the windier days. The drive around the island was uneventful but the large array of wind generators was a bit different. Though not spectacular, the adventure was nice enough. Not a 'must see' for Kingston but it was enjoyable.

The ferry is the only way to get to and from Wolfe Island if you don’t own a boat or plane. It is dependable and professionally crewed by MTO employees who have distinctive personalities and make the trip a pleasant experience. Be sure to read the notices on the bulletin board - the best way to stay on top of island activities. Best kept secret - you can watch Kingston’s Canada Day fireworks from the upper deck of the ferry.

The boat workers aren't very nice and the ferry is insanely crowded. But the island is nice and Kingston is awesome.

The ferry to wolfe island is a nice boat trip. It is around 30 minutes to disembark on the other side. You can check the exact schedule online. Cars have to check size restrictions and make sure to come at least 1.5 hours in advance and be ready to sit in your car. Luckily, Pedestrians and cyclists don't have to wait in line.

Haven't been there before long drive just to cross something us tax payers pay for that we never use funny.

By far the most reliable and latest-running transit service in the city. Free, quick, and clean ride.

Loved going on an excursion with the hubby for the day. Thoroughly enjoyed our trip there and back
