There is basically no customer service. I called about a car repair quote two days ago and I was transferred to the service department. The phone eventually went to voicemail, but it said if you leave your name and number that someone will call back soon. I left a message, but did not hear back that day. The following day I left another message, because I thought maybe they did not hear my phone number clearly. It has been over a day and still no call back. It's frustrating being outright ignored.

I've been trying since April to get a copy of my appearance package warranty information and every time I call the person I need to speak to is "not there". I've left messages and voicemails & I never get a call back.

Ordered a 2022 Golf R in March and have been requesting information on a monthly basis. Checking in to see if there is any news. Unfortunately, the salesman I am dealing with doesn't care to answer me back. I put a deposit down and all I want is a simple response. It feels like they just took my deposit and left lol.

This has been the worst experience in my life with any type of business and I’m 63! Last Tuesday I was in to get my family’s tires changed from winter to summer, oil change and a part for the back window. The first bill for me to sign was for $650 and I made them explain why. Then it was down to $250. I asked them to put the winter tires in the truck which wasn’t done because they lost the tires. The only thing they did was the oil change which cost was $391 after I questioned the almost $500 bill. I came back the next Tuesday, I live 123 km away. Today they still lost the tires after they had told my son in law that they were here. They are putting the tires on for free but I also have been waiting for over 2 hours. We will never come back!

If I could give a zero I would. The service department is horrible to deal with. On every occasion I have had my car in for service, I have left feeling disappointed and frustrated.

Called for information, spoke to Lisa Smith in Service Dept and had all my questions answered. Her product knowledge is impressive and her enthusiasm for Volkswagen and all it stands for is refreshing. Great service again Volkswagen!

I have had my VW for a year now and the service has been wonderful! The staff is friendly and courteous. Recently I had my annual service for my bug and they provided me a courtesy car for the wait which was awesome so I could run errands and they called me when my car was finished! I really appreciate the service at Kingston VW. The only thing I would change is that they always ask if I want to sell my car - no thank you!: D

My car purchase experience was very timely and organized. I inquired via email to the dealer about a pre-owned car they had, and got a call from EVAN BULL in sales within minutes.

Evan was very quick to help me understand each step of the process and walk me through how this transaction would work because I purchased the car over the phone without seeing it first (low km car, almost new). Evan went as far as filming a custom walk around video to reassure the true condition of the car.

Within minutes I spoke with Wesley their sales manager to finalize structure and do a credit app over the phone and then sent all my documents to Evan via email - easy peezy.

On delivery day, the car was clean, parked out front, and paper work was ready (even with my showing up early). Kevin in finance was really easy going, easy to approach with any questions I had about the approval and extremely organized. I was in, I signed, we looked at the car, and then I was back on the road within 20/25 minutes - I appreciated the simplicity and transparency throughout.

Every time I go there they never miss a chance to disappoint me. First I dropped my car for the regular service and the alignment check. I was told it will take 2 hours but they called me after 6 hours to pickup my car and when i got there they asked me if I want the alignment check or not. I was hoping my car is ready to go after 6 hours but was not.
I started having issues with my Cruze control. I asked them to fix it they charged me around $150 and said they found nothing but just dirt on the sensors. But the problem didn’t go away it still didn’t work even after two hours of getting my car from the dealership. I went there again after a week for the same issue and they did the same thing charged me $140 and cleaned my sensors, the same day it stopped working again. I know its not just the dirt but there is something else. Don’t know what to do now. Anyways if someone read this review I would suggest you to go to any other local mechanic rather than wasting your time and money at Vw Kingston.

What I thought was a good buying experience has slowly turned mediocre. Asked about a recall on our new vehicle before we bought it and was told it was fixed, months later I receive a letter about this recall, I had basically been lied to. Traded in a vehicle which they failed to close the lien on, resulting in a double payment. They forgot to put the monster matts I payed for in the vehicle. The sales person was wrong about numerous vehicle specs including the type of transmission.

I have bought or leased 5 vehicles from this dealership since 2012. I have always been thoroughly impressed with the sales staff I’ve dealt with as well as the very kind service/parts staff.

However, I recently had a negative experience when I brought my vehicle in for service. I called to make an appointment and they asked me if I wanted a “waiting” appointment in which my vehicle would be taken in for service within 15 minutes and I could wait in the showroom. When I showed up, they said I didn’t have a waiting appointment and I was required to wait 2+ hours at least…I was there for almost 4, and never once approached by staff while waiting. After my car was seen by the tech it was explained to me the potential causes for the issue, and what the tech did to fix it. I was charged 140$ and I was told I could go. 5 minutes later I noticed the issue was persisting so I called service. They said the tech didn’t have an explanation and said to bring the vehicle back in for more diagnostics. I was extremely upset by this because I just wasted hours away from family during the holidays and charged a fair bit of money for something not to be fixed. I’m now required to return to VW again with no guarantee this will be dealt with or that I will/will not be charged again.

If the cause/issue with my vehicle was not determined or fixed, I do not believe it was correct for VW to charge me and let me drive away.

Service was mediocre. I've been to V dub dealerships coast to coast and this won't go down as a top pick. For the time being, that spot belongs to Taylor VW in Kelowna BC. I sat in Kingston VW Showroom for 60 min, and at no point did a single salesperson greet me or acknowledge my existence. I counted 3 separate "customer service reps" ghost me as I was clearly awaiting the technicians assessment on my 2016 GTI. I would suggest going to Braden Ford to see how the customer should actually be treated. And I am in no way affiliated with that dealership, but they completed an oil change and made a lasting impression on this traveler.

GTI purchased at this dealer. Excellent experience overall thus far. Evan, in particular, has gone above/beyond the call of duty to help me out. Highly recommended.

I have purchased more than 10 cars in my lifetime so far and 4 of them were from Kingston VW. I should mention the 4 I purchased from here were the most recent 4 as I have never found better service anywhere between Windsor, Ontario to Kapuskasing and all the way East to Alexandria, ON, almost at the Quebec border. I find so many dealers today try and upsell you and then they even add hidden costs and charges on your final bill of sale. My experience at Kingston VW has been second to none. Went today to have winter tires put on our vw golf. The new car is only a few months old and was told it already needed an alignment (the car was rarely used and driven short local distances during this covid). Instead of fixing the problem that clearly existed when we bought the car, they wanted to charge me almost $200.00 to fix a problem in a new car! They told me that Kingston roads are bad. SO PEOPLE OF KINGSTON A NEW VW IS APPARENTLY UNABLE TO EVEN HANDLE THE ROADS IN KINGSTON DURING SUMMER MONTHS!

Have purchased 2 vehicles from Jenna at Kingston VW - for both experiences, Jenna was thorough, patient and helpful. Very professional, very friendly service. Jenna spent lots of time putting packages together and sourcing the right vehicle for our family - I didn't once feel pressured into making a purchase I wasn't comfortable with. I recently purchased my first Volkswagen. I needed a diesel car to help with my long daily commute, and after conducting some research, I realized that a Volkswagen TDI was my best choice. Used car shopping is not something I look forward to but I am so happy that I decided to go into Kingston Volkswagen.

I emailed them ahead of time to inquire about a car I wanted to take a look at. Safi was the gentleman who responded and we set up a date and time for me to come in. Called to book an appointment for an oil change. Being new to vw I was unaware that I required to provide the vin for my car.
I was driving at the time of my call and stated that I needed to pull over. I was put on hold. Another woman came on the line to ask for my phone number so they could call me back.
After an hour I was contacted.
If this is quality service, then I am regretting buying a vw.
