Kit-Wat Marina Motel Restaurant

We were really pleased with our stay. Our recently renovated room was very pleasant. The owner was really friendly and helpful. The new cafe with gourmet coffee and tea is a great addition. And you can't beat how close to the beach it is- just a short walk.

Arrived yesterday and was created from the owner, very nice people. The place is very nice and clean, I have the River front room with kitchen and a nice deck facing the river. I guess it was recently renovated. I’ll bet I will have a wonderful stay at this motel.

This was our first stay at KitWat and will be back! The room and bathroom were very clean and had a great mattress. Had multiple pillows on bed to choose from. Amazing views on the waterfront. Beach a short walk around the corner. Location is perfect being not far from the Main Street of Sauble but far enough to not be loud or lots of traffic. Appreciated having kayak/Canoes/bicycles to use! Great service, went above and beyond to accommodate any requests!

Nice, clean rooms right on the Sauble River. Free use of canoes, kayak, paddleboards. Grocery store across the street.

The rooms were so cozy and comfortable with the most serene environment. The hospitality was second to none as well. The owners Brad and Dana went above and beyond to ensure our stay was nothing short of perfect. I would highly recommend their resort and will most definitely be back soon!

Location: Perfect - this is located on the less busy side of sauble beach, its about a 5 minute drive from the "welcome to sauble beach sign" at the very end of the road that runs parellel to the beach itself. Quiet, calm tucked away but also close enough to walk or ride your bike to the beach

Building: Is on the older side, its rustic and charming, don't expect a modern sleek building, think cottage cozy, They have some vending machines, ice, and parking. As well as some free bike rentals if you want to use them.

Room - We stayed in the water front facing double bed (with 2 double beds) at the very end of the building, It was extremely comfortable and quiet with lots of privacy for me and my girlfriend. The water front rooms have a balcony with some chairs you can sit on to have coffee or hang out - well worth it. The room itself was spacious and clean, the walls and carpet were a bit on the older side but it was charming. The beds were firm and comfortable with plenty of pillows and fresh linens. Inside our room was a bar fridge, an AC, and a microwave, as well as a coffee machine. Everything you would expect from a hotel/motel and they were all working well. The bathroom was also clean and functioning fine with lots of towels for us to use.

Staff - Extremely friendly and warm. We were arriving late on a friday after the office was closed so the owner texted us and made sure our room would be available for us when we got there. Felt like visiting family more than paying for a service.

We stayed from 1 pm-5pm. We arrived and then went to Sauble beach area. We noticed our neighbors had children. I love children but not when I’m away for a rest and some peace. Spoke to front desk they were not concerned. They said they would speak to parents. Kids continued to play hockey with the plastic puck hitting our mutual privacy wall. Throw balls yelling etc. After an and a half of this we left. No apology and no refund. Would never ever book there again. The rooms were old, terrible, mould smelling, uncomfortable, and unpleasant….
I would not recommend this as a short stay or long stay destination, your better off camping in the woods than staying here…

Kit-Wat's website states that their restaurant is open daily from 8am-8pm, but it is actually closed for the entire summer of 2021. It's a good thing we called ahead before driving all the way there for dinner. All they need to do is add a brief message to their website informing people of the closure.there's no excuse to not have an updated website in this day and age.

The staff were super friendly, the room was clean and a great price. A wonderful budget friendly place to stay in the Sauble area. We look forward to returning.

I travel a lot for work and this motel was excellent, the service was outstanding and they will go out of there way to help you out. Rooms were very clean and the view is surreal. I will definitely stay here again

Beautiful location and customer service is the best. The attention to detail with sanitizing during this troubling time was above and beyond - making us feel very comfortable with staying at the motel. We have already booked to go back in a couple of weeks. Great for couples and families.

Très belle place, employés sympathiques et accueillants, chambre très propre. Beaucoup d’avantages tels que: barbecues, kayak, canot et une belle vue sur l’eau. Je reviendrai encore c’est certain.

Great location at a great price, facilities could be improved, like coffee machines and microwaves were not there in the rooms, however, overall a great experience. We will come again.

I would not give even a star.the worst place ever. DIRTY.horribly dirty.i did not dare to use the shower.we booked because we read all this good reviews but the reality was sad.spider webs everywhere.they should pay attention to cleanliness especially with this covid situation

Reminded me of simpler times. Very clean and super friendly. Every night many of us would use the bbqs provided and socialize with other guests. Very relaxing. Beautiful river.

Passed by yesterday. The owner was super helpful. Best service we ever found. If you are looking for a nice place to stay with amazing views and spectacular customer service, this is the place to go. We will definitely be back

We chose this place for our honeymoon as it was in the perfect location. Room opens to the river, the sunsets are amazing. They have a fire pit, gas bbq, paddle rentals. Like this place was just awesome. Restaurant closed due to covid but we went to the local store and BBQd steaks. No complaints. The paddle rentals were my favorite part as we paddled up the river to see sauble falls. Definitely recommend this place. We will come back next year.

Perfect location on the Sauble River where it enters Lake Huron. Gorgeous location.see my photos. Sauble Beach is a 7 minute drive but there is a smaller beach within a 5 minute walk. Free use of a canoe or kayak for guests.

Friendly, helpful owners, clean (but definitely not fancy) rooms. There is a classy hotel on Hwy. 21 in Southampton, but we prefer the Kit-Wat location so we always stay there.

The restaurant has been closed this season due to covid but Pizza Delight delivered right to our room. And there is a variety store across from the motel.also sells meats in case you decide to usthe motel's propane bbq grills.

3 stars is perhaps a little low.

I was out touring backroads on my motorcycle, mid-September, when I tripped over this riverside lady, just north of the summertime resort town of Sauble Beach. Looking around the property, I imagine this as a 50 or 60 year old family business that has held its own in the ebb and flow of seasonal business, sending the kids to college with a little left over for a nice personal home.

The room I stayed in was tired, well overdue for a refit, the restaurant was closed, and a seatboard broke under a fisherman on the dock bench seat as I walked by. But they do a lot of things well. There are riverside tables, benches, umbrellas and BBQ's for cooking up dinner and socializing. Boat slips, canoe rentals get you on the quiet river, minutes from Lake Huron, with a marina next door.

The location is amazing, at the north end of the run along the Huron coast, the south end of the run up the Bruce Peninsula, and 3 hours from Toronto on the Hockley, Creemore, escarpment run. A great spot for a group moto stopover, or out for a week of sailing.

As I started it up in the cool morning, I looked at the freshly paved parking lot and I imagine the boss diligently improving a piece here and there as can be.

The joint deserves to do well.
You get good value for your money.

Have been here many times over the last 30 years or so. Never been disappointed and plan on returning again. The rooms are clean and the owners are a pleasure to deal with. Just a short walk to the beach, (who doesn't need a walk now and then?), and the amenities are reasonable.

The complimentary rental canoes and kayaks available to guests along with a very calm river that leads to a small waterfall made this stay much more enjoyable than initially expected! Friendly staff

Amazing value for money! The staff was very nice and helpful, the room was clean and spacious and the view on the marina was peaceful and pleasant. There is a barbecue outside and canoes you can use. Our best memory during our holidays, and for a great price ; it's really nice that affordable and nice motels like that still exist, thank you so much!

Only had the breakfast & it was great, also the price is quite reasonable. The staff is friendly & attentive. My waitress, Maddy, was phenomenal.

Beautiful and peaceful riverfront location, and it’s only a five-ish minute walk down to the beach. The rooms are simple yet charming and squeaky clean. The restaurant offers a small indoor dining room that’s always nicely air conditioned on hot days, and a riverfront patio with both sun and shade. The food is home cooked and delicious (especially their all day breakfast) it’s a perfect place to bring younger kids out for a nice sit down meal - the staff are always super friendly and extra accommodating to kids.

Stopped in for some food with 7 other people I have to say the service was amazing better then going to a common restaurant staff was great restaurant was clean aswell which is something I look at before staying at a restaurant food was awsome nothing like some good home cooked meals really hits the spot and pricing is on point for what you get portion size is great you def will be full after eating at this location there no doubt about that.

The view from our room was nice, the room was dated, shower dripped constantly, bed was hard. I.suggest bring your own pillows I always bring mine not one to.sleep on pillows that are flat.
