Good sightlines, upgraded audio and laser/lights. Bad selection of beer (Molson Coors for the most part). Parking can be a chore.
Update Sep 2023: Still a grand ole rink. Food is expensive (x3 to x5 normal retail). Drinks are about $10/tall boy but at least they have a bit more selection than Molson only
Great venue, but the concession stand wasn't open and I could have/would have bought a coffee. Watching Hockey Games is cold work. Sept 10/22 - KW Knitters Guild Fair. Great Event Sept 9/23 - another KW Knitters Guild Fair - well run with a great lineup of vendors.
Attended a Jehovah's Witness convention at this facility. It seemed like it was made for it as it was very easy to get around and find a seat, washrooms were clean, and the sound and video were great. I enjoyed the program very much!
Save your money versus supporting events held here. They have a rule that if there are 3 seats available, and you only need 2 seats, that you cannot purchase those 2. You have to purchase all 3 seats, even though 1 will not be in use. Complete scam. EDIT: They resolved this.
We went for a live concert. Auditorium is nice and we had a great time. Staff is so friendly and accommodating. They have food options that is great. Washrooms at this place were super clean. Overall it was an awesome experience.
Fair pricing and amazing hockey games but the place was FILTHY. The floor was sticky, the seats were gross and the bathroom was disgusting! One of the toilets was covered in what I think was diarrhea!
Old Dominion concert was fantastic. Staff was great, getting in and out of the facility was easy. Food and beverages were priced accordingly. I look forward to the next country concert
Great arena. Feels like there isn't a bad seat in the whole place. Venue was very clean. Beer is too pricey in my opinion. Same prices as the mapleeafs arena in Toronto.
A great helpful staff and very good sound in the Arena for a concert we attended last night, but, getting into the concert was a bit of a nightmare the way it was set up. Also the ladies washroom situation wasnt good.
A place that makes you feel like ur home at "the AUD" its a wonderful place, as a young kid I played hockey on the indoor rinks and even in the parking lot at times, participating in the roadbreakers ball hockey tourneys for years.thankx for the great memories.
Always a great venue for concerts, I never have a bad time when I'm here, one gripe I have is that the seats in the back are too close together, had a lady lean her head back and her head hit my knee, but other than that it's a cool place to go! Definitely for a rock band!
Confusing as hell to figure out the arena to where my seats were.took 3 tries to find an employee that could actually help.the seats were so close i kept smacking the kid in front of me with my knees.the fans at the game and everyone i talked to were super nice though, so thank you for your hospitality.
I would rate this venue higher, except for the fact that I literally had bruises on my hips from the small seats and metal armrests. It ruined the whole experience as I was extremely uncomfortable in my seat. I will have to think twice before attending another event at this location.
Might want to update your website as I parked in lot F that reads free general parking and got a 125 dollar ticket. Very nice how you want the people to come to your venue and then you target the bus drivers who bring them and are trying to make a living
This place is huge inside. There are many halls being utilized for different functions all at once. The lobby area is narrow and people are crowded during events. Line up at the Cashier as only 3 are open (Cash only, Debit/Credit Card, Paid online). I went there for my daughter's cheerleading competition. Don't let your kids wonder around as the place is big and has many hallways leading to another hallway. Ticket price is expensive, $20 per head. Lights and sounds are of good quality. I must say it's a good concert venue.
Called to buy tickets same day as the Old Dominion concert. Was hoping for floor seats but since they were sold out, we were fine with sitting in the stands. However, the fact that our seats in the stands were the SAME PRICE as floor (reserved and unreserved) seats was a little ridiculous. Washroom facilities always had a line up and lack of beverage choices (alcohol) at concessions were disappointing. If there is a concert coming through here and is playing in Toronto or Hamilton, will definitely be making the effort to go to one of the other cities.
Old Dominion concert. The sound for the first 2 acts was problematic. It was terrible. I would like to demand a partial refund due to this fact. Funny how the sound for OD was crystal clear. Also my wife and I stood for the first 2 acts against the boards for better sight lines. As soon as OD started, here comes usherette Suzy Snowflake flexing her muscles insisting we get to our seats. Do you think you can have everyone on the same page? I am extremely disappointed
Old Domunion was great! Sound was amazing. The line ups to get in could have been organized better. Instead of going around and around in circles, maybe they should open the doors sooner. Same with leaving the parking lot. There was no police directing traffic onto Ottawa Street like there has been in the past. We attended the Bryan Adam's concert a few months ago and it was nothing like the chaos we had this time, yet same full house.
I went to go see my first hokey game here and it honestly was a really great experience! The people were very kind when you needed to get up and the service was excellent. I had trouble finding a seat and I asked a service person and they were incredibly kind and showed me where my seat was located. My only problem is that it was pretty loud, I was expecting it but it was a lot more then I imagined. If you don't care about noise, it's a great place to go!
I was here to watch my son win the provincial ball hockey tournament. I wish we had played in a better to sit in venue but the place was fine. Parking for the disabled was great, i thought they did that very well Nice place, if my son plays there again i would be fine going
I always have a good time going to the Aud. The ushers are fantastic help showing you around and I love how most of the time it's familiar faces you see. The parking can be a bit of a headache if you get stuck in the rush and I'm torn between thinking the seat need an upgrade or if I like the old classic look. Teddy Bear toss is always a spectacle to see!
This is pretty much one of my favourite places on planet Earth! The atmosphere in "The Aud" on home game nights for the Rangers is always electric. The staff are helpful and courteous.
Great experience with the circus in town.the staff was in the Aud were very helpful and friendly.good to know we have a facility like this in Kitchener.does need a little TLC though.
I heard it's true next spring they're tearing down the aud for an updated new triplex arena. I know everyone has been talking about this and really looking forward to it. This building does seem really beaten down but I'll miss it
KW Home and Garden show was incredible! Lots to see and do, plenty of great deals, and lots of vendors to visit and get info or products from. We will definitely try to attend again next year!
First time I visit The Aud. It was for the Caudle's Wine & Food show. Well maintained, plenty of parking spots and space for the 2 venues set up for the event. Kudos to The Aud and the Caudle family!
Good and relatively inexpensive seats to see good hockey? What's not to like. Cash only for alcohol, but you can get soda at a few of the stores in the concessions with card.
The Arena is old and very uncomfortable seating, seats are to low and little leg room for people that are tall and/or have leg and knee issues. I was unable to sit in the seating purchase, The event planner and staff are second to none and were able to accommodate me. Thank you.
Went there for the K/W homeshow. Both arenas were full. Nice place, but as with all arenas its outdated. Ontario needs to build new, modern, accessible arenas.
Small arena which gives viewers a very 'intimate' viewing. I thought it was a really nice arena. Was here to watch a kitchener rangers game. The fans here are incredibly passionate over their youth team as they battled another youth team for youth supremacy.
Love it when there are shows & events here. The auditorium seating is a bit snug & uncomfortable. Lots of parking but very busy when entering & leaving an event, so get there early. Facilities are pretty clean, staff has always been friendly.
