Lovely place. Mostly seasonal
. Lots of energetic families, camp fires and happy voices. Roads are tight for big rigs but the pull thru sites are ample. Pleasant staff and engaged manager. Would stay again.

Extremely underrated campground. All new staff this year really turning the service and comfort around.

Highly recommend camping here, it is my family’s second season with them and they have taken good care of us!

Site says lot is available and not available at the same time. Way over priced.over 100$ a night just for a bed and no washroom. I am not risking paying for something just to show up and see they are closed. Not to mention all the issues that seem to happen here and everyone is left in the dark. Post your amenities online and say if they are open or closed. Especially your park. Don't let people reserve if you have no intention of being open.

We booked this place for their inflatables on the lake. We were never notified that their lake was no longer swimmable and the inflatables for the lake obviously wasn’t open due to the lake. I emailed the manager about my concerns and was told she would refund me 25% of my stay. I have yet to see that refund come back to me. When I emailed her she told me it was already refunded however the money that was refunded was the $41.25 I gave as a deposit to get gate pass and shower keys. I guess simple math is beyond them as 25% of my stay would be $31.78. Don’t stay here they are not true to their word and their website is not update with what is working and what is not. They also have filled in a huge portion of their pool and you get asked to leave the pool after 1 hour of swimming because of capacity issues.

Do not book here. Not only did we have problems with the booking that we made 6months in advance but once we were there we found out that the lake and beach are closed (the main reason why we booked there) and there was nothing on their site saying that nor did they inform us of that when they called a few days before.

A late show up at volksfest at the park &
Missing all the vdubs since it was rained out in the afternoon the RV park is massive & looks awesome, hopefully next year I will make it. Thanks again
For letting us walk through today

First weekend in June. Being a resort campground you expect to get what you pay for. We booked our camping 3 lots side by side back in January. We get here, we can no longer have the 3 lots side by side someone has to move. Yet the 2 lots that seperated us remained empty. They have a pool. We were not notified that the pool has been dug up and will not be ready for some time. We are relaxing Friday evening and everyone is cutting grass. Yet the transient lots were never done. We decide to go for the walk to buy fire wood as you cant bring any in. They have no fire wood. So no fires for the weekend. Yet we did not get a discount for not providing the advertised services. We have a few more camping booked with them and want to cancel so we can go somewhere else yet they want to charge $25 admin fee. My recommendation is stay away.

The campers are such great people. Very welcoming and friendly, the staff are amazing, however the working conditions are not. Management is set up to choke out your complaints so it doesn't make it any further. I tried to make a safety concern to head office and somehow it made it back to my manager from head office and I was told it was "not a big deal" and didn't hear anything from head office. But was "laid off" 2 weeks before the season ended. Could be a great place, gotta get rid of the management here, hi all.

Over all this campground was a 10 out 10. We've stayed in a lot of KOA' over the years and most of them don't even come close. Really clean well maintained sites. Friendly staff. And the seasonal site owners are amazing. I would recommend for any non uptight campers to check this place out. I will go back again.
13 October 2021 15:32
I booked a site here and 6 days later realized I had booked us at the wrong campground. The phone number would not connect and after a few emails they finally got back to me and told me I was SOL! I would get NO refund. $133.00 wasted from my family holiday. I did not see this policy anywhere before booking. I'm am very disappointed. I know it was my own fault for booking at the wrong place but a little compassion goes a long way.bad business!

. The staff was extremely helpful and accommodating. I don't speak French and had no issues with anyone. Man made lake isn't the best.but what lake is?
01 October 2021 11:45
This is a lovely campground that has earned the right to call itself a ‘resort’. Currently some amenities are not available or are a little changed in their approach due to COVID restrictions but that’s something we encounter everywhere.
Some of the things we particularly enjoy are the Swimming Pool (lots of lounge chairs around the poolside) kayak &paddleboat rental, the bouncy water play area on the lake, fresh produce stall on saturdays, campfires, sports activities for the kids, sundaes at the Kittawa store/restaurant and just walking the huge campground and lakeside chatting to friendly campers. I don’t know what to make if some of the other negative reviews as that hadn’t been my experience at all: Christy the manager has been extremely responsive, friendly and helpful, the water is fine (we used a Brita filter because it’s well water so doesn’t give that ‘city water ‘ taste we are used to) We had no problems with septic, parking, cleanliness or anything andrealourselvesenjoourselves….
02 September 2021 9:38
This place is not at all what they advertise, no amenities close by, the park looks run down and very over priced on the items they do have. Will not be coming back ever.
21 December 2020 13:21

We were here and we left as this campground has been a serious let down. Not worth the costs they are charging. Better places with lower costs can be found.

Summerhill Resorts came in and ruined the place. It took them a couple months to ruin years of a great service and great fun. The manager, Kristy will lie directly to your face multiple times. She does not follow through on promises at all. It took her less than two weeks to tell campers "to leave if they don't like it". She has no customer service ability at all.

They send out a weekly newsletter that basically tries to sell us things.

Since they took over there is theft, vandalism, the hot tub are dirty and green, the water smells all through the park, the electricity is worse. There are no rules being followed, there is clear favoritism for certain people.

They came in an raised prices, for some over $1,400 for a season. They have singlehandedly killed a piece of Limoges history.

I give 0 stars to Summerhill Resorts
0 stars to a manger who lies to her customers.

It is such a shame that they will do so much damage to this place and this community.

Staff are unfriendly and greatly lack communication and client service skills.

When we arrived the hydro outlet looked like it had melted and began sparking when we plugged in. We unplugged right away and called the office to have someone come inspect it. We waited an hour (had to followed up at one point to see if someone was still coming) before someone arrived. The man was defensive and rude. He tried to blame us for not having a surge protector, which is not a necessity. Plus the outlet was melted before we arrived. He told us we could plug into an outlet a few sites down. We told him that we didn't have an extension cord and he told us to go to town to buy one as they would not provide one to us.

The workers at the front office and the gate were rude and it was impossible to get information out of them as they were busy playing on their phones and iPads. It was as if we were bothering them whenever we asked a simple question. For example, we went to the office to buy some firewood. The worker told us that she had none. She did not bother to provide information on when they were getting more or where we could buy some close by. She went straight back to using her phone.

The only kind and helpful worker we encountered was the lifeguard at the pool.

Also, the man made "lake" was brown and dirty and nobody would swim in it for fear of coming out with a 3rd eye.

Will never return to this money hungry business.

TRES BEAU CAMPING. ACCEUIL DÉGEULASSE, RUDE, PAS PLAISANT DU TOUT. SITE NON NETTOYÉ AVANT NOTRE ARRIVÉ. ILS VOUS DISENT UN PRIX AU TELEPHONE ET APRES PLUS DE 350KM ILS VEULENT CHANGER LE PRIX A 3 FOIS PLUS DE $$$.
NOUS NE RETOURNERONS PAS! HO QUE NON! MÊME PAS GRATUITEMENT!
15 October 2020 19:33
Charge 80 year olds a fortune to visit for 20 minutes. Gate operator was lazy rude and if you spoke English he refused to communicate.
02 November 2019 11:06
It was pretty great fun, nice price, decent size lots not to much shade from the sun /privacy. Pool & jacuzzi onsite, showers bathrooms and alittle restuarant/shop at the front gates. It's a 15min walk to calypso! We camped for the friday-sunday and spend the days at calypso
23 October 2019 1:43
I loved Chez Stans restaurant. Nice country atmosphere with good breakfast food and neighbourly service!
16 October 2019 22:14
Very nice campground.lots of activities for kids!
10 October 2019 20:51
Thinking of setting up seasonal here, be prepared to spend unlimited money. The head count happens every 1-2 hours (making sure they have every cent), attitude from staff varies depending on the hour of the day, the rules also vary depending on who you are. After spending over $4000 + for the yearly contract, be prepared to be given a bill for any other amount deemed necessary throughout the season.
24 September 2019 11:28
My experience was very abusive and negative, booked and paid for site, changed our mind at last minute and decided to travel on. Mgmt said he reversed the charge but refused to give me a copy of the credit or a cash refund, when I argued with him about this he starts bragging about owning a million dollar motor home and has travelled al over the world and he does not need my measley $50 but still refused to give me a copy of transaction. Veey ignorant and abusive! Will never stop there again and would NEVER recommend to anyone!
23 September 2019 13:07
This place is a little bit odd. Wasn't a fan of the cash deposit for bathroom key. The staff seemed okay. Seemed like a location for long term trailer camping. Tent sites are bland compared to Provincial Parks ours had some trash the site beside us had a 24 of Busch cans burnt in the pit.
17 September 2019 4:47
10 September 2019 7:59
If you are considering this campground don't do it. Go literally anywhere else. This was one of my worst camping experiences ever. The owners are rude, the campground is a complete disappointment. The trailers are packed in so tight our neighbors trailer was practically up against ours. The 2 lakes they claim to have are disgusting, nothing more then large ponds really, full of weeds and disgusting film over the water. No way I was letting my son swim in there. We couldnt find the hiking and walking trails they say they have. And God for bid you have a problem or need something at the office. I had a horrible experience there one night when i was locked in there bathroom building. I went to use the public bathroom around midnight one night (which you need a key to get in because apparently they have had a lot of vandalism) after i finished using the bathroom and tried to exit the building the door handle was jammed, i could not get out. Of course being the middle of the night there was no answer on their office phone and they dont have an emergency number. I was finally able to wake my husband up by continually calling and texting his cell phone. He came down and couldn't open the door either. Finally after both of us banging and jiggling the door the door lock finally came loose. In the morning I went to the office to let them know there was something wrong with the door and that I had been locked in there for about 3 hours. The girl working was the owners daughter and after laughing at me she said I would have to come back at noon to talk with the owner. At noon I went back, but the owner refused to speak to me and they spoke to each other in French infront of me (obviously not realizing I understand french) needless to say they were being very rude and then the owner went out the back door without speaking to me telling her daughter to tell me I would have to speak to her husband when he comes back. Of course he was not there that day. The next day when we were leaving I asked if he happen to be in and he was right there. Again was very rude to me, speaking over top of me and telling me that I couldnt have been locked in because no has ever been locked in there before. He completely belittled me and when I told him we would not be returning there based on how rude they were his answer was " good don't come back" when I told him I would be putting a review on their website and Facebook page he told me go ahead, you and everyone else who puts bad reviews on us.
(Side note: I did put a review on the Facebook page which the owner obviously deleted because it is no longer there.)
09 September 2019 7:40
Worst camping experience ever. DO NOT COME HERE. The owner and all the staff are VERY rude, I got there to meet the rest of my family and had to pay extra for extra people, as they walk around and count heads and tents per site. Had to go pay $133 on top of the $133 we already paid just to have another tent sent up beside my family on the SAME SITE. Spoke with the owner about this and he proceeded to yell and me and my spouse, about how they are a "Profit Organization" and not a "Non-Profit" to reason for their pricing, which made me not want to give them my money because clearly all they care about is how much money they make off me. Every person from my group that had a interaction with the owners left very displeased at how rude and inflexible they are. NOTE: There are only two areas for camp sites, the entire place is a trailer park. The only spot for tents with electricity and water is right beside the highway and the parking lot, which makes it very loud, the other camping site Is far from everything and there is no water or electricity so not many options for 'camping'. There are two places for swimming, the man made lake is more like a pond.it is also filthy, see photo, there was no one swimming because of how dirty it is. The only other place to swim was the swimming pool, usually crowded and not that big, so not many options. There are trailers EVERYWHERE so you already know that is where they make their money. These people do not deserve the money they make at all, will never be coming back here. I suggest you do the same so you never experience what my family did.

Had a delicious Club Sandwich at Chez Stan's - nice little Restaurant addition to Limoges, not to mention the great restaurant decor!
03 September 2019 17:43
I would rate this a negative 5 stars. New owners have no customer service abilities.
My wife got lock in the bathroom (bathroom house is keyed because of vandalism) for 3 hours and they just laughed at her.
"The lake" is 2 weeded disgusting ponds with a beach on it. I wouldn't even let my dog go in it.
I could go on.
Just dont go here

09 August 2019 15:19
I would not come back to Kittawa for one reason: Joel - the owner - was unfailingly rude to me and my guests. In less than 24 hours, I had three interactions with him. During all of them, he was condescending and inflexible. The contrast of his approach against those of his kind and accommodating staff could not be greater. I live nearby in Ottawa and would have liked to make this spot a regular home-base on my summer bike adventures. I would rather ride further or pay more to be treated with common courtesy than to give more money to this business.

REALLY LIKED THIS PLACE.
MY FIRST TIME AND VISITED FRIENDS FOR THE WEEKEND.
HOPE TO GO BACK SOON.
EXPENSIVE FOR A FAMILY TO VISIT.
20 June 2019 21:07
We went my wife and I to chez Stan's which is the restaurant at the camping. The chef is vegan and they have vegan options including tofu. My wife had the Asian salad it was good and very good portion. I had the the vegetable stir fry with Tofu.it was also good the portion somewhat on the small side.it is a family business and the service is great and very friendly.they have a 3 vegan options for bk including a scramble tofu.really bold to have such a menu at a camping! We will be back often.

Owner is rude and a control freak!
They have used my lot to cut trees on more than a 100 trees and in April when they opened up did not remove the cut trees and did not clean the wood chip residue piles of it so when I came in to open my trailer in June the owner refused to clean the wood and handed a paper bag and said it’s your responsibility to clean it! I refused and told him it’s his responsibility not mine his response was I am too busy can’t do it for another few weeks!

Came back in July still not done! Took the kids and left!
Did not get to enjoy my trailer! So i came back in early September and removed my trailer! Left my golf cart and cement blocks and wood with two wood steps for my trailer and my golf cart charger in the shed! Today September 25,2018 came back to take my wood steps and golf cart and charger found my lot completely cleaned! The owner has stolen my wood steps my golf cart charger and my cement blocks! My fire wood! But left me my golf cart! And moved the picnic tables and placed them in the middle of the lot! My opinion! The owner is a thief! And I had not been able to use my camper not even once the entire summer season!

3.5! I like that this campsite is so accessible and cheap when it comes to wanting to stay and play near cylpso water park. It has changed alot over the last two years. They are expending as well and in the coming years They may have more mature tree shaded tent sites. They have added a restaurant at the front which we ate at for supper and breakfast. It was very good homemade food and if I were rating just the restaurant I would give it a 4 out of 5! The campsites are meant mainly for sleeping as they are not private or covered with trees. Bring a shade tent or eating tent and dollerstore fans! I think around the corner from us might have had more shade cover but we stayed I think at 355 or 356 in a tent. We love it because it's simple and we aren't there to camp or visit with family at the trailer park. The trailer park has alot of things to do like trails, movie nights, bingo, a big pool, yard games and play areas. If you are looking for a cheap weekend away as a family with very low key atmosphere this place is great. The bathrooms are simple and clean. Cylpso is 5 mins away and if you live in the city this is probably a perfect break for you. The park itself has an upbeat family atmosphere. Children stay up late and wonder around together and adults cruise around in their golf carts. This is a little French community but majority of people speak English as well. Overall, great and practical stay. Would go again.

Not a bad camping site. However, there is NO patrol at night. Our camper was right in front of seasonals who couldn't care less how much noise they were making at night until the early hours of the morning on the weekends. Loud voices, yelling, loud laughs until 2-3 am. Seeing that they were preparing for another party on the Saturday night, we decided to pack and leave prematurely to be able to sleep. Front desk was closed by that time. There is no one to reach out too to make it stop. PS these seasonals are located SUPER close to tents.so be warned. We have young kids and sleep is so important, so you can imagine that we will not be returning unfortunately.

Used to camp there for 20 years. Used to be the best camping until last year with the new owner. The new owner screams at his employees in front of everyone to hear. We wanted to leave the campground because of problems that he caused and he prevented us from leaving the campground by adding a boot to the wheel of my camper and told us that we had to pay 1300$ (from April 27th til May 15th) because our camper was still parked there then proceeded to call the cops on me because I was trespassing because I didn't park in the visitors instead I went in and parked at my lot. The new owner is an a**hole and is money hungry. Accusing other people of stealing and name calling his clients.ridiculous
