Kiwanis Heydenshore Park

I had no idea that this place existed (and almost in our backyard) until my son planned a corporate picnic there and raved about it.

We decided to visit, as a family (my wife, son, his girl friend, his son and his daughter and our dog Solo).

This wonderful place has everything one could hope for on Lake Ontario and is dog-friendly.

Will I be going back.try and stop me!

Beautiful park, had a lovely Fall stroll here. Good trails and bike paths with a great view of the lake

Lovely spot to see families and their children play at the park with the sun shining and the lake glistening.

So great. Really good skipping rocks and fossils on the beach. The playground is a bit weird and not the most accessible for kids with physical disabilities but still fun

The Splashpad is getting a major reno. The trees have peaked in fall. The weather is getting chilly. But this park remains my favorite destination on a lazy weekend afternoon with family

It can get busy and parking can be a pain, but it's a great park, splash pad, work out area and of course the beach!

Free parking, great view of the lake. Sometimes when the sky is clear you can see the CN tower.

Good place to hangout relax and chill. Has a trail if you wish to bike ride or just walk. A small beach or just stay In the Parkside under the trees with ample shade.

Always a beautiful spot to relax and unwind. Even when its busy you can still find the beauty in the view

Nice area, lots of shade. Beach is pebble at the water and can have seaweed. The splash pad is nice, strong water spray. The playground is wood chip which we like better than sand.

Parking is a bit spotty, but they do have spare parking lots. Some shelters for larger groups, otherwise lots large trees to provide large shaded areas.

Beautiful water front park in Whitby.
Highly recommended to visit, keep in mind during weekends parking spot in the area not sufficient.
Play grounds for kids and adults are well maintained.
Few minutes from Hwy401 East.

Lovely park relaxing to sit and watch the water and kids playing in water park. Good for families to visit.

Great place to bring the kids! Small workout park is there and there is a splash pad. The sand isn't the smoothest but still a nice strip of beach nonetheless

This park was an accidental find. There is such a beautiful view of Toronto off in the distance. It was a clear day and we could see the CN tower.

We did potluck over there, Lush green landscape and fresh lake air was amazing, top of that swings, slides and water splashes for kids. Overall this park is suitable for any age group. Free and big parking space and also can swim in the lake good sandy Beach. I like it.

This is the best lakeshore park in all of GTA I have seen so far. Medium traffic. Beautiful lakefront view. Peaceful. Bike ride. Love it.

Just a few hours spent resting and relaxing. Beautiful view. Free parking. Wasn't very busy on a week day.

What a beautiful park! Great playground for toddlers/kids, the splash pad is more suitable for older children. The beach is stoney but beautiful, really clean, with families paddling/picnicking. Lovely space

If you value the safety of your children & pets, please stay away from this area, because way too many hungry coyotes lurk in & around this area!
Sometimes if you look closely, you'll see them hiding in the shadows, just waiting to pounce on an unexpected child or pet!

It is very nice, paved walkways, nice views of the lake and harbour, but crowded. Good kids playground.

Not a great beach to visit. A lot of algae in the beach water making it dirty and stinky. Grass is pretty good but lots of crowd even during the COVID times.

Long beautiful beach.surface all covered with stones that can make your walk on beach a little challenging. Has a spacious lively park, usually very busy on weekends and festivals. Relatively smaller parking can make you work to find a spot at times. Overall 5/5

The nicest thing is, there is a big play area for children including a nice big splash pad, but be-careful as the water splashes at good speed, there is of children getting hurt and hence adult supervision is necessary.
It has scenic view to downwards towards the lake from the middle of the treed via a wooden staircase. Lots of green area (free space), neatly maintained. Ample parking space. The funniest and annoying part is lots of flies around us.

This is our Summer time favourite park. The parking is free! There are lots of picnic benches in nice green shady areas. The lake is really close and above all the playground and water park is great for children. Lovely and clean park!

One of my favorite places to spend some free time or watch the sunset. Cool outdoor gym, playground, a picnic pavilion for meetups. Walk the board walk down to the peer to watch the sailboats come in for the evening. Great place for a people watch and chill vibes.

Great little park down by the lake. Kids can have fun playing on the jungle gym snd parents can take in the beautiful lake views and scenery. We often stop here on our walk along the lake. It can be packed on the nice days but still loads of fun. Lots of seating and lots of shade to escape the hot sun.

I am coming there almost every morning to get ready for my busy days. I love this park at any season of the year. Parking is always clean. Have a great day. See you in the park!

For me I always like to go to place where I can clear my mind and build up my confidence, buy looking at wide open body of water it gives me just that. I find peace.

Great Fall stroll along the waterfront watching an airplane doing all kind of acrobatics in the air and boaters having a last outing from the marina

Beautiful to walk with paved trail for strollers, roller blades or bikes etc. Great playground for kids. Just wish the public bathrooms were still open / more frequently.

Great place for mornings walks with the dog.summertime weekends it can be a bit too crowded.and please remmeber put your trash in the garb ft 0

Park is not bad, BUT some people with a dogs without leash at playground where a lot of kids IT IS AWFULLY!

Nice park, but like so many public places today, too many people show no regard or respect when they litter, deface and vandalize.

Park is good but many people are not aware that only barbecue permission is given to only two groups and that also to be taken in advance.

Great time with the family everytime. Enough parking and place for kids to play. Nice beach to relax on as well.
