We purchased a maple tree from Klomps in October 2022. It was supposed to be planted before the Winter but was not planted until May of 2023. This Summer/Fall the tree developed a major crack between the trunk and the main secondary branch which supports half of the trees canopy. A retired arborist that we know told us that that limb is bound to fail as the tree matures. Apparently
this type of damage is common when the root ball of a tree is exposed to freezing weather then warm weather which is exactly what happened here. We contacted Klomps to ask what should be done. In our opinion the tree is defective and should be replaced. Klomps refuses to even respond to our emails and several phone calls have resulted in "we will get back to you" which never happens. They have chosen to completely and rudely ignore our concerns. This tree was almost $1000 and we expected much better customer service from Klomps. I would not reccomend doing business with Klomps. We certainly will never do business with them again.

I contacted Klomps Landscaping the second week of July for a quote. I was booked in 2 weeks from my originally inquiry. No one showed up the day of. I had to call and email multiple times to get a formal quote. In the meantime, I had sent them my own measurements, hoping to get an idea of cost and to give them an idea of the size of the job. Someone finally came September 1 to take measurements. No one has contacted me since. I’ve called and emailed…still waiting for a response.
