Knix Ottawa Retail Store

I ordered the Revolution V neck bra. I love the colors. The bra fits perfectly. I have one breast that's abit smaller, however the bra makes the two look even. Lots of support, as i need full support. It's very comfortable. Gives to fit. Washes well. I am happy and pleased with this item.

Worst customer service ever! I walked in just ahead of 2 ladies. One salesperson was helping someone else so I made eye contact and said hello to the second salesperson who never acknowledged me while practically pushing me out of the way to latch onto the group of 2. Seems the potential larger sale was more important than basic manners and customer service. After wandering around being ignored for about 5 minutes I decided that I’m no longer willing to spend my hard earned $s in this shop. Although I own several Knix pieces purchased online, the expansion into the retail market with such shoddy customer service is a huge fail. Very disappointing!

Had a wonderful experience! Mel greated me coming in the door and understood my needs to direct to the right product and person. Kathryn was warm, supportive (pun intended) and knowledgeable, Kelly was friendly and helpful. I wish all shopping was this easy. Better yet, I wish there was a Knix in Montreal!

A super busy place. The staff worked so hard. I think the owner should consider an automated sign in device in the shop because the staff were doing their best but it was hard for them to efficiently check in new people. Once I was checked in it only took 10 minutes to get a fitting.

I went there hoping to find a bra but no success. I got measured and then was given sample bras in different styles! The samples are so worn out and stretched its very hard to see if you like that style. After you pick one they bring you a new one to try. They make a point to tell you it will be tight and to use the extention they supply! I asked the girl when it would fit (Stretch) She said after wearing and washing 3 times. If a bra stretches that much in 3 washings at over 70 dollars it's not for my budget! Glad I didn't order online! My regular bra is more comfortable!

Staff was excellent and very helpful. We didn't have an appointment for a fitting but they were happy to inform us that they could and would provide one the same day if we were willing to wait. The wait time was exact!

Not enough stock and I think the bras is over priced. I do love it but can't afford to buy a few more because of the price.
The underwear I can't wear because of the liner. The Smell of this liner is like an acidic smell.
Would buy more bras if the price were more reasonable.

This store offers a personalized service if needed with a variety of items from underwear to sleepwear.

The thong underwear aren't really worth it. Most of the padding is too high (almost up to pelvic bone) and the blood doesn't travel there. Instead, it seeps through the sides of the thinner part of the thong and bleeds through. The thongs are a good replacement for a basic thin liner for spotting.

Store asthetics not great but they have everything you need in the back, sales staff really friendly and helpful

Always a pleasant experience. LGBTQ friendly and body positive. Probably the most amazing bras I've ever owned. Extremely comfortable. Unfortunately it is also very expensive.

I have very mixed feelings about my experience at this store! As other reviewers have mentioned, the way they move you through the store is weird - there's a "wait list" you have to go on to try things on in the changeroom, and it seems like a convoluted process (you talk to one person on the floor, another person in the changeroom who brings you "try-on" bras, and then you have to wait for a third person who will get you the size and color you want. Why so complicated? !). There's also no explanation or signage about how the store works, which seems a bit absurd.

While I liked the products I tried on, somehow what I brought home was totally different from what I tried on in the change room. In the change room, I tried on two different bras (the wingwoman and the catalyst zip-front). When I got home with the new bras I had purchased, neither of them fit - one was WAY too small, like a whole cup size, and one was too loose, despite the fact that the "try-on" bras fit fine. I don't know if they gave me the wrong size at purchase or if the "try-on" bras maybe fit different because so many people had tried them and they stretched out, but either way there was pretty much no point in even going into the store, since I didn't get to purchase what I actually tried on.

Mixed feelings on this one. That being said, once I got the right size (ordered online), the products are great so far. You might want to skip the in-store experience and just order online, since the product sizing seems to vary from item to item anyway.

Long wait for change rooms, low inventory. I find I need to go home and order online anyways. Only street parking available.

The staff are amazing. Kelly was kind and compassionate in the face of my discomfort. She made the entire experience less intimidating and made great suggestions. No pushiness at all. I will be back to buy more.so thrilled I found this store right in town thank you

The customer service at Knix is absolutely wonderful. I needed to buy a new bra because my body has been changing in pregnancy. The staff were so thoughtful and helpful, and made sure the fit was perfect. The bra I got is so comfortable! Highly, highly recommend!

I had excellent service purchasing a bathing suit from the Westboro store. The staff were very helpful without being intrusive. I will definitely be back.

My mother in law and I went shopping at the Westboro location today. It was a great experience! We were served by Kelly who was very patient and knowledgeable. She took her time and helped us both select the perfect bra. I will definitely be returning.

I took my two teenage daughters into the store to buy in person so they could experience a bra fitting. What an awesome experience! The staff were so good at reading the level of nerves and working with them. The store got very busy but we didn't wait very long for great service. We bought in store but can know confidently order online which is great.

The staff are wonderfully attentive without any pressure, helpful for fittings, and excellent about exchanges. They work as a team, and I appreciated seeing pronouns on their name tags. I actually enjoyed my shopping here (and I'm not generally a shopper, especially for undergarments!)

My online order experience was the same - I even forgot to apply my promo code, and they retro-credited it without question. Super quick shipping, and not over-packaged.

Finally, the products themselves are great. They're smooth, seamless, wireless, comfortable, protective, and available in a few fun patterns, too. I now have underwear, a bra, and a swimsuit!

*disclaimer- I LOVE knix bras SO much. Regardless of this review of their store (I believe there are only 3 stores in Canada) I highly recommend their bras**

Wait to try on items was EXTREME. I waited 45 minutes. The set up in this store is strange- I had no idea how it worked, so here's the tea so you don't have to be confused like me.

The storefront only has bras and underwear for you to look at. Everything is in the back. When you're ready to try things on, you put your name on a waiting list (I went on a Sunday afternoon- there may not be a waiting list during the week?).

Once in the change room, they will bring you the style of bra or underwear you chose. The items you try on are "try on" bras/underwear, that are used in the fitting room area. These are all black/brown neutral colors.

Once you're done trying the "try on" bras, and you know what size you're getting, then you go talk to another sakes person.

That sales person will let you know if the color you want is available and will bring it out from the back for you.

This process took me an hour and a half to try on 4 bras and pay for them.

4 or 5 people just left because the wait was so long. Maybe they were understaffed?

Anyways the system seems really weird. I wish all the bras were out in the store and you could just try on the color you want and size you want and buy it.it would be nice to have a dedicated staff person working the storefront as well, as there were many customers that had questions and were a bit confused on what was going on (mukyiple lines, wait lists, try ons etc)

Staff were all amazing and friendly, but it took way too much time out of my day. Probably will go back to online shopping.

Absolutely love this place and the service! The girls working there are so wonderful and helpful and I always feel happy when I’m in there and when I leave. The bras and undies are amazing, so are their swimsuits. I’ll probably keep shopping in person rather than online, despite knowing my size, because the staff there makes the experience wonderful

Original Review: Very busy store with not enough changing rooms. After buying the item I was told it would take a few weeks for it to fit ideally, however it ended up fitting much worse. Really regret paying so much for something I won't wear again. Would not come back here.

1st visit this week & love, love, love this store. Knowledgeable, helpful & accommodating staff, great selection & amazing quality products. Appreciated their COVID protocol. I will purchase more products from Knix.

Very grateful to have this in Ottawa. The staff were lovely and friendly. I don't know if it was because there were a lot of customers but the staff don't pounce on you at all, although it would have been nice if at least one could have given me the low down on how the shop worked but at least they were very approachable. Prices were missing on a few items which was unfortunate.

TERRIBLE service/staff at this store. Shopped online many times and this store definitely has issues with staffing that doesn't worthy me spending my $ to support this business.
Having a grown man wear a bra and lingerie to help my tween daughter in the changeroom was traumatizing and when asked to have someone else help us, they refused as it would "not be fair".
If we want a female to help our pre-pubescent daughter then a female should be provided if you want a sale. Avoid this place, just as we will and shop along other reputable lingerie/bra stores in the area that service properly and deserve business.

I went there on july 7th, and when i asked to try on some bras, there were 50 min waiting.with maybe 10 people in the store.i think the service need improvement, everyone was nice, but you can't make people wait 50 min to try on clothes.they will leave

Love the beautiful and comfortable slip with built-in bra it's a must have for that little black dress or any kind of dress!

I really love their products but I will keep shopping online. The store was completely disorganized and the poor employees were confused/lack training.

It was SO fun going to the store to try on product! The staff on were doing the absolute best they could but we're drastically under staffed which put them in many hard positions. The staff there especially the manager was awesome and so helpful. I would love to see more product at the store. I cannot wait to go back.
