A perfect concert hall. I was amazed with the structure. You can comfortably see the stage from anywhere you're seated.

Loreena McKennitt on a Sunday night at this hall.
The acoustics were impeccable! Wonderful venue to enjoy a concert!

I have sat at the very back of the balcony and the sightline and the acoustics are outstanding. Koerner Hall is one of the best venues in our city.

One of the best sounding halls in the city. Saw the Chicago Symphony play there. Life affirming experience. Also honoured to have performed on this stage a few times. Lovely venue.

This hall has amazing performances throughout the season, and has amazing acoustics and a large, comfortable seating arrangement. I have attended performances from Gautier Capucon, Maxim Vengerov, and the Chicago Symphony at the Koerner Hall and have loved each one.

A brilliant concert hall. An architectural wonder. A bright, clear space with impeccable acoustics. The areas outside of the drum are open, clear in purpose and elegant.
See anything here you can. You won't regret it.

Koerner Hall is situated in one of the most unique, architecturally beautiful buildings in Toronto. The original brick building has been encased at the back by steel and glass walkways, leading to the auditorium.

The actual auditorium is an intimate space and visually stunning as well. The acoustics are amazing. If you're looking for the best seats in the house, anywhere on the lower balcony will fit the bill, but because of how this venue was designed, there are truly no bad seats for musical events. Even the seats behind the stage are amazing.

Sound quality was fantastic, and the performers were incredible, nothing more to say. Professional and well worth the price.

Very great hall. Would love to see more of it. Never knew it was there. The sight lines were very good too even in the back row

What a beautiful show! It was a shame that the sound system of a place like that was so poor.

Nice looking space but not very accessible.

On all but the main floor, there are only two washroom stalls per floor. There is only one small elevator serving all floors (with hidden button and no indication which floor it's on while waiting), otherwise it's many flights of stairs. They're wide stairs, but almost too wide - there's enough space for three people across, but that third person won't be able to reach the handrail. A woman in front of me lost her balance and slipped to her bottom on the stairs because she couldn't reach the handrail. Her husband and I caught her, but if we hadn't?

The main bathroom has numerous stalls, but the hall into the bathroom narrows to a choke point: a woman with a motorized chair had to manoeuvre around a bit to get through without scraping her chair, and a woman with a cane couldn't leave while the chair was in that choke point.

If you have accessibility needs, be aware that you may have some challenges in this space.

The atmosphere inside the auditorium is mesmerized, the piano on the stage was purchased by a group of experts Canadians pianists and musician in england.
Worth every cent of the tickets

Wonderful concert. Jan Lisiecki, world renowned Canadian pianist with Orpheus Chamber Orchestra.

The newest concert hall in the city in the most affluent part of Toronto. It is attached to the old Royal Conservatory of Music building. Also, it is next door to ROM and the Gardener museum.
The entrance and the lobby are very wide and spacious. It houses many smaller orchestral concerts and the acoustic is beautiful.
It is a 2 minutes walk from subway station and wheelchair accessible. Parking is expensive in this area of the city. I have attended many concerts here. A good place to visit.

Recently went to watch Jazzmeia Horn and her noble force. I was up in the balcony. The view and sound quality is awesome.
Jazzmeia was such a great performer, beautiful voice! So positive and upbeat too.
Highly recommend!

First time in this Venue (Bruce Hornsby), the sight lines and sound were very good! I’ll be back!

Would have been helpful to know that the hall was inside a larger facility…. This caused many problems in the dark in poor weather

One of the best acoustics in Toronto. Beautiful architecture. Great venue for an intimate musical experience.

This is a fantastic venue! Intimate and beautiful design. My only complaint is that they don't allow drinks into the seating area which is not really the issue. The problem is they sell wine to you right up until it is time to go to your seat without telling you that you can't bring it in. I would rather not chug wine.

Went there for the Mandle Philharmonic featuring Beethoven Symphony no. 9; it was a majestic experience! Koerner Hall is well made and the acoustics show their amazing design. Definitely recommended.

The Royal Conservatory of Music (including Koerner Hall) consistently presents awesome talent. No exception tonight, the @MusicalStageCo mpany is performing the UNCOVERED Music of ABBA.

BRAVO What a creative mix of the music and lyrics from one of the best known groups, including wonderful stories and their own adaptations of the songs.

Great theatre too, next door to the ROM/Royal Ontario Museum, just steps from two TTC stops (St George, Museum).

Went here to attend a Final Fantasy concert. The conductor was very funny and social, and the musicians that played was amazing and talented. The building is quite large, but the hall itself was pretty small. I was quite close to the musicians, which made the entire experience very intimate (they advertised it as very intimidate) which was true. The employees there were very nice and helpful with guiding us to our seats. The location is downtown so parking would be a bit hard so I'd recommend commuting via street cars or subway. Overall the experience was one to remember. I would definitely come here again if another chance arises.

PS. The pictures below was not during the performance, tickets were sold out. It looks empty because I did not use my phone during the performances, so I took pictures before the performance.

I have to deliver a rampage here: Koerner Hall is just great, it sounds wonderful, the architecture is striking, the atmosphere is great in general. I love the intros given by the director, i love the program, it is so versatile. Everything is in the right place.
And then the audience arrives: they come late, let musicians wait on stage, you have Gautier Capucon play Shostakovich Sonata, and in the most moving part of the 3rd movement a phone goes off. Not just once, for 20 sec. And later another one, and another one. It is unbelievable how disrespectful people are. A piece like this Sonata has 4 movements. It goes from beginning to end, it has a flow. So don't you dare and interrupt with your stupid clapping all the time. It interrupts the artist, it interrupts everything. If you appreciate the performance then do so when it is over. Basic manners! Getting up in the middle of playing and leave the hall with rattling heels is simply rude. One notices, most people can not sit still anymore, even during the performance screens go on, messaging takes place. I have never ever seen anything like this. And to be honest I was in shock. Klaus Brendel, the world famous pianist once delivered personally Ricola Bonbons before his concert to stop the coughing. He had enough.
Koerner Hall, do something, this is seriously compromising the high level of music that you present and deliver. It is so great to be back, but this?
