Kome Shokudo

This is an affordable Japanese restaurant that sells ramen, Japanese udon and don. Use counter ordering and robot delivery. After finding a seat by yourself, order at the counter and tell the table number, and the robot will automatically deliver the food to the table.

Lately, whatever food I get or is cold or burned. I tried small bowl of beef and it was cold and asked them to re do it. It was returned to me the same. I tried chicken Karagee, It was burned to the bone. I am not sure what is happening in the kitchen, but something is wrong. I can understand once’s in a while they can miss the mark, but recently there are many of it.

Update! Came back for a quick dinner. Such an amazing experience. Great prices, great service, good food. Their fried chicken was pretty darn good. I’ll be back again!

Been here twice in one month. I really like it. I believe the portions are fair for the price. I also find it very flavourful. I’ve had order #G1 and #G4. The wait times for take out order is short. I will be back again when I don’t feel like cooking. Thank you & I hope to see your restaurant open for a long, long time! P. S. I’m surprised to see so many low reviews on here.

Portion sizes are good and the food is affordable. But, the food needs seasoning badly. The food is bland.

Gyu Don, Takoyaki, Spinach in sesame dressing are good.

The meal size is very large, we are full of regular ones The meals are also delicious, and the price is friendly, with an average of $12 per person

Ordered the Gyu-don with kimchi and the chicken karaage. The beef on the gyu-don was a bit cold. Portion of the gyu-don was quite large which was good. The chicken karaage was nice and crispy, bit heavy on the breading but the spicy mayo was delicious.

Overall a nice japanese place that has a cute robot that comes and delivers your order.

Tasty food in reasonable price. Love how they have different price for different sizes and there’s no mandatory tips. There’s no disappointment with anything from the menu.

Food was great. Portions on the smaller size unless you upsize it. Place wasn't too busy. Got our food pretty fast and it was brought out by a robot:)

Came here for a quick lunch. After reading all the positive reviews, my hopes were high, but I thought the food was mediocre. You pretty much seat and serve yourselves, there’s water by the cash. We ordered upfront and was served by a cute robot later. The food came fast, but quality was just okay. I ordered a tempura udon, but the tempura were all soggy once it arrived, the udon was a bit soggy as well, not the chewy kind. My Gyu Don with egg definitely had more rice than beef, I found myself rationing the beef at the end of the bowl. Overall, it was nothing impressive, but price is fair and food came quick, it’s a nice lunch spot.

I ordered two dishes from Kome Shokudo, and only one item was delivered. I called the restaurant for a refund, but the person who answered was impolite and busy deflecting their mistake without giving an apology. I am not ordering from this place again. Not judging from the quality of food (which I do not know since I have not tried) but for their low quality of service.

Authentic Japanese comfort food. Menu consists of mostly Tempura, Ramen, Rice and Curry dishes. Tried some of the Tempura sides, Takoyaki, Vegetarian Ramen and Vegetable Don. All were pretty good and the prices are reasonable. They also give you a free regular main dish after a few visits which seems like a decent reward program to me.

I've had a couple of tasty Udon bowls here. Food comes quickly, and is served by a robot which adds some novelty to the experience. Service is always great!

Japanese comfort food in a self serve/food court style restaurant. Service is quick, food was delicious with good portion sizes. They have a kids menu. We would return.

Have GYU had these beautiful Dons before? If not, this is your sign to go! We got their Gyu Don w/ Scallion & Hot Spring Eggs, Gyu Don Poutine, and Okonomiyaki. Gyu Don w/ Scallion & Hot Spring Eggs is literally our favourite dish here, it came LOADED with Scallions, the perfect Egg also added so much flavour to the already delicious stewed Beef, it’s so tender, flavourful, and the Rice soaked up all the Gyu sauce! Gyu Don Poutine tasted AMAZING, the same tender, flavourful Beef but on crispy Fries, topped with Scallions, Cheese Curds and Gravy made with their Gyu Don Sauce, it’s SO GOOD! Okonomiyaki made such a perfect appetizer, it was a Japanese Pancake loaded with Octopus, mixed Veg, it was cooked to perfection, topped with Seaweed, Mayo, Bonito Flakes, need I say more?

I recommend Curry udon here! Okonomiyaki was very good for the side menu. Price was reasonable and very interested in robot table service for food delivery:)

Very nice Japanese rice / udon restaurant. I first tried their takeout from delivery platform. Their takeout is already stunning. Today I tried dine in. Nice service and food quality. The serving robot was funny. A very good dining experience. Fun to bring your kid too.
Have to try Ramune (Japanese traditional marble stopper pop), if you have never had one.

New Go-To quick Japanese spot. Prices are fair, food is great, quick and you get your food brought to your table by a kind of creepy robotic cat. Also smooth jazz while you eat is also a vibe.

Go to Japanese rice bowl place for me! They serve ramen, rice bowls, appetizers-and they're all super delicious! They have robot servers that come and bring your food out, and have a lot of variety in their menu for you to choose from. Definitely will come back again!

I tried for the 1st time the fried squid, Squid Karaage.the portion was generous compare to price.very tasty and well seasoned and fied. It is good to see that on taking order there was someone who actually speak a fluent English.

Gyu don, unagi don and karage. The gyu don very well seasoned and it is a decent size for the regular one. For the unagi don only have 1 size and pretty good. You can add 2 side dish for every don. And the karage pretty good. For this price point and the portion size is pretty good and decent.

Their beef rice bowl is really great! Recommend G2 with spring egg. Taste more smooth.
They usually preparing the food in 10 min. It's a nice place to order take out.

Used to eat this kind of food all the time in Taiwan. Great flavor, great portion for the price. I got home and added a yolk to it. It was perfect.

They make very tasty Gyudon, serve super fast too. Juicy beef with sauce on rice. Recently their portion of XL might shrink a little. They used to have these two layers yellow rectangular bento box, beef with sauce on the top layer and rice on the bottom layer and XL was so satisfying and I couldn't even finish it. But now, they changed to a normal size round black plastic bowl. The beef is on the rice directly and XL is no longer a XL, more like between a regular size and L. Hope they could change back to the yellow two layers bento box like before.

The beef tasted fine. But the rice was ridiculously bad! Super soggy and small little chucks that stuck together. Really ruined the whole experience.

Worse packaging ever!

We ordered 3 gyudon and picked it up. However it is not packaged properly as all the liquid poured out and broke the paper bag and onto my pants and seat.

The 3 gyudon was packed one on top of the other one, but the lid on the bottom cannot holds the weight of the other two which placed on top. This led to the overflowing of the liquid.

When I called and tell the store manager what happened she said it is because we didn’t handle it properly.

Not going again.

This restaurant gives excellent service as well as tasty menu. One of the best spot in the area. The drinks and food served fast and the prices are inexpensive. I recommend this place.

Excellent comfort food! The beef I ordered had such great flavor, and it was complimented by the green onion and rice. Would definitely order from them again. Saw Jim Carey in line, I guess he was in town for the holidays; he talked a bit about his SNL Joe Biden character.

This is a hidden gem! The beef rice bowl is a MUST to try, I can't think of a better beef rice bowl anywhere else!

I take my family to this great restaurant quite often! This is my favorite spot to dine. I visit this spot frequently. The meals are excellent, the staff members are welcoming and the cost is decent. I enjoy eating in this place over a rich dinner.

This restaurant is essentially a self-served Japanese fast food place. The food quality is good, not great, but definitely satisfies some Japanese food cravings, especially since they offer a skew of harder to find dishes (we'll see about their ramen though, I suspect it can't be that good). Their prices are great in person, but their delivery prices are way too high.
