A place to get lost in, for any music lover. My goodness, it was such a pleasant surprise to wander in this store and spend an hour+ flipping through old records. Visit the back room for more great hits.

Just brought a few boxes of a mixture of old and new albums to Kops and had a great experience. One of the guys even came to my car to help with the remaining boxes. It was fast, fair and they took the 'generational records' they don't buy to put out to find a new home so I didn't have to bring those back home again.

I had originally given a good review. However, after playing the records, I realized that several were scratched and wouldn't play beyond the first track. Now that we want to return the scratched ones, the owner/ whoever at the counter says he can't take the 'value records'. Amd he has the audacity to yell, scream and say ' Go to Hell' when I asked him to speak politely and explain as to how records worth 12$ can be the value records. Most definite never going back, and would.ensure no one I know ever does.

*And he has the nerve to call 12$ records as 1$. He is cheating, selling scratched records for 12 - 15 $ starts yelling over the phone

*In reply to my reviews, the owner simply had to write a severe backlash accusing me of language I didn't use, and saying things which would.only affect his 'small family business'. Definitely the prerequiste of any business, especially a small one is not yelling or using abusive language and certainly politely replying. That is the basic acceptable behaviour.

*NEVER WILL GO BACK OR RECOMMEND.

Kops is great, some rare film score vinyl finds and an easy to order system either via a staff member or online (with great followup communication).

I found this awesome store by doing a Google Search for a record I could not find anywhere. The vinyl was not even available on Discogs. I called and the employee was super friendly and helpful. Incredible experience as far as communication and shipping. Can’t wait to visit the store in person one day!

Kopps on Queen is where I started buying reggae records. They were never this expensive. The selection was never this sparce. And since Im being honest, I miss the quality of the old staff.

What a find! Hidden amongst the many shops on the Danforth, I was happy to find this small record store with a wide range of records across every musical genre and age. I picked up quite a few LPs for a great price. Lucky for me they were also in great condition.

Wish I had more time to browse through their extensive collection. I will be back for sure!

One of my favourite record stores in the city! Kops always has the cheapest prices and great selection of new and vintage vinyl! Friendly staff and helpful to find the music you need!

It's a great record store. My only beef is with the "To Be Priced; Ask Staff" section. If there isn't any staff currently present in the building able to price these records for customers (which not too infrequently is the case), then the records should not be on display at that time. Put a tarp over them or something. Or else be comfortable with the other staff members pricing the records (this is the obvious answer). It seems as though only one person there is allowed to do pricing and that person, understandably, cannot always be there.

I understand that they'll offer to hold the records for you for pricing later when the authorized staff member is present, but at this point I usually am not itching to have the records any more. Most of the worthy records I will find from that section are impulse buys or, in other words, they're not items from some kind of "sought-after" list that I'm willing to wait on/come back for. Often I will simply forget about them if I am not enabled to buy them at that moment. Records to me are something I treat myself to, and so if I'm given too much time to think about whether or not I should buy the records, I more often than not will opt to do the financially sound thing and NOT buy them. They are not necessities after all. I have to be grabbed by the record in the moment, and so this delayed pricing thing that happens doesn't bode well for my buying style and will sometimes result in no buying whatsoever.

Ultimately, like I said, you should just allow all of the staff to price the records. Otherwise, great record store.

Been to the Oshawa multiple times, including for RSD. Always walk away with great items, the prices are awesome as well. Tons of cheap stuff as well as quality, which I like because I am not always looking for a pristine copy of everything. One of my favourite stores. Definitely worth the visit!

Buying from Discog's was so easy and the customer service is incredible. Picking up from the Danforth as curb side pick up was so easy and the employee was so sweet!
