We got there hungry for an early breakfast at 8 am! They were ready and welcoming! My daughter was hungry and they brought her pancake right away. They’re kid friendly and provide great service. We also were impressed with the size of their plates, i finished maybe 1/3 of my plate. Great atmosphere as well and a great patio even though it was cold and we decided to eat inside.

Great local Kensington diner. Good greasy spoon comfort food. Go have a genuine Old School Toronto brunch.

Just went here for a drink tonight around 10pm. Nice service, affordable drinks, house white wine was very tasty and so was the Mojito. Lots of people around still, great atmosphere!

I have been coming here for years with my service dog and today was told that we were not welcome even with our documentation proof because of a incident with someone else. This is a violation to my human rights and I can’t leave my dog outside the establishment because she is A SERVICE DOG. What service is she giving me it she can’t even signal me? ! Ridiculous and very upsetting. Was a fav place of mine. Won’t be back not even order on Uber eats.

Pretty basic food, happy hour deals available. Our waitor was not experienced and service took some extra time due to that - understandable though! Gluten-free options were available (eg nacho platter, but not burger).

Good food. Only two waitresses working which surprised me. The wait is long though! Recommend this place if you have time to wait!

Great family-owned Mexican restaurant! Nice place for brunch too. The huevos rancheros are served like a tostada which was really cool. The tortilla stayed crispy. I like the Caesars here too. I like them with tequila instead of vodka. The outdoor patio looks like it would be fun in the spring and summer.

Came to this cute lil spot to treat myself to brunch. The vegan breakfast was delicious and THE HOT CHOCOLATE! I will be a regular for that hot chocolate. Didn’t take any pics of the meal and beverage because it was that good. Thank you for the friendly service!

Excellent prices on average diner food. The fries are killer good. They serve $10 cocktails after 9am. Friendly servers, though a little understaffed for how busy it was.

The waitress didn’t took our friends order. She waited 1 hr to get her meal. Breads were not fregh. Both veggie burger and mexi burgers were terrible and dry. And sizes were so small they literally put half slice of pickles. Worst burger ever!

They called these home fries cooked. When I asked for cooked home fries they said that was a special request they couldn’t accommodate. They where like cold hard semi mashed potatoes.

This place was recommended to us, we traveled more than 1 hour. To get there, the food tastes good, the service takes a while, and in the end we meet some friends. My son under 3 started screaming a couple of times and they caught our attention we were in the patio because at the next scream the grill man yelled at us loudly and hitting the grill demanded that we shut up We silenced the child, so we asked for an account and left.bad experience. Except for the waitress Blanca who tried to be cordial.

My first time eating here with a friend and we really enjoyed it! We sat out on the patio which was pretty spacious. We came here for a late brunch and the food was delicious! The portions were quite big for me. The servers were really attentive. They had a lot to offer on their food and drink menus!

Literally my number one brunch spot! Service is FANTASTIC, food is GREAT, and the PRICE is spot on. NOT TO MENTION the drinks are poured with a heavy hand, SOOOO no complaints there.

Worst dinner I've had in Canada. The waiter put the glasses down hard as he put them on the table and it was as if he was working there temporarily.quasidella was with plenty of onions. I couldn't taste anything but onions.meat or cheese had no taste at all.

Hands down the best nachos in the city. The staff here are very kind, I've been going here for years and so glad this restaurant made it through the pandemic. Super reasonably priced and yummy.

Decent place for brunch. Food was nice and portions were large. Patio is spacious. Staff is friendly, but a little slow to heed requests. Menu options are mostly breakfast/brunch types.

Food was good. Sangria was great. Staff was friendly. Prices wee good and they have a large patio. Thats pretty much everything you look for, so yeah, 5/5.

Came here for brunch and it is a very cozy and unpretentious spot with massive two-sided front patio. You can tell this place is a local institution within Kensington.

Beyond the eggs Benedicts we got and the chill atmosphere, this place deserves a 5/5 for the way the owner/staff firmly handled a stranger who was verbally disturbing customers. It was an uncomfortable situation but was rapidly resolved by the restaurant. Kudos to the staff.

A nice place for food that has a homecooked feel to it. Got two breakfast plates for takeout. Service was extremely friendly, and the food was still hot when I got home. The plates themselves were good (huevos rancheros and an egg&bacon plate), better than breakfast chains, but not outstanding. I’d get it again if I ever sat on their nice patio but would probably skip it otherwise.

Had a great time on their patio! The food selection is great and they even offer all day brunch. I got the huevos rancheros, fish and chips, and the chicken souvlaki and they were all amazing. I love that everything is very affordable.

Chicken Souvlaki with sweet potato fries - nothing is better than homemade tzatziki! The chicken is super juicy and is seasoned really well.

Huevos Rancheros - I could eat breakfast for every meal so this did not disappoint! It also comes with a ton of home fries and is loaded with chipotle sauce!

Beer Battered Fish and Chips - the fish was super crispy, golden brown, and had a perfect ratio of fish to batter. You also need to make sure use their tartar sauce with every bite because it adds another level of flavour!

Blue Margarita and a Mojito - perfect way to end off a long day at work! Very affordable and and super refreshing.

Absolutely sweet spot in the heart of Kensington Market! Huge patio, great music, damn delicious margheritas and best tacos handsdown!

I came here for breakfast by myself the other day for the first time and really enjoyed it! Every time i walk past this patio, it’s busy! It looked super cute and i knew they did breakfast so i got up early and went here for about 10am.wasn’t very busy, a few tables occupied.it did get busier when i was leaving at 11am! But while i was there, the music playing on the patio (which is perfect) was all in spanish, there was a warm breeze and just enough shade, i was instantly transported right out of toronto and into vacation.it was relatively quiet, no traffic or busy crowds, it was perfect.service was excellent and the waitress was friendly and tentative! I ordered the avocado eggs benny and it was DELICIOUS! I was torn between this and the huevos rancheros but this was so delicious, i know i’ll be back again to try the other! The food was made well, served hot and a great portion! Have told all my friends how delicious the food was and how great my experience was.i would absolutely recommend and i will be back with my friends very soon! Thank you kos! Keep doing what you’re doing!

Great food and affordable prices. Kos has always been one my most reliable and goto places in Kensington Market for good food and affordable prices.
There is almost always space available especially for larger groups. I was happy to see them back after lockdowns. Excellent service from my server. Isis! Always make sure to leave the staff here generous gratuities as they deserve it!

One of the best places in Kensington. The hosts and servers are absolutely delightful. You are never rushed into ordering. They serve amazing cocktails and all day breakfast. Must visit!

We stopped by to get a cold beer. We weren't planning on ordering anything, and had no expectations for the food. We took a leap and ordered a burger and a sandwich. I can honestly say we were both pleasantly surprised by how good our meals were. Will definitely be returning!

Very cute tree-shaded patio off on a less busy road of Kensington Market. Very nice spaced out tables, proper cleaning and temperature checks at the door. Delicious cocktails and huge salads! Will definitely be back to try brunch!

Edit: I’ve been back many times and its always an amazing experience! Must try the breakfast eggspress, and the veggie cheese quesadilla! Check out their mezcalita (my fave) or half pitchers of margarita!

Nice location, nice patio. Overall reasonable prices. The reason for 4 stars is the size of the portion and hollandaise sauce for egg bendict wasn't great last time when I was there. However, overall cool place.

I am giving it two stars with a heavy heart. I was excited to try this place as I've seen it all Winter and Spring. I finally went today with a friend. Food was great. Unfortunately, service was disappointing. It was busy when we got there, but once we were ready to order there were just us. With that, you'd think the service will be great, but it wasn't. The server didn't check up on us, not refilling the coffee, didn't give our water that we requested. We're almost done our food when the server came and refilled my coffee. Then nothing again. We finally asked for water and bill. The server gave us one glass of water, but not our bills. Moments later, we noticed that the server was inside chatting up another server. We finally got up and asked for our bill.

Nice Mexican place with a huge all day breakfast menu, they perfect every single item in it. The drinks are out of the world and the vibe is amazing.

The salads are delicious though the portions are a little small, but for the price it's good.
The chicken wings were so delicious and juicy, and the Omelet was full of flavors.

Make sure you leave a tip behind, otherwise you would be embarrassed to leave it for the service, even if it's a mistake from the tricky machine they use.

Loved the place and definitely coming back again.

2 Stars for the Patio and Servers attitude, which was great. However, the food amd drinks was absolutely subpar. Sangria was just juice, and nachos were no more than 30 chips, with little drippings of salsa and sour cream. Next time I'm better off going to the LCBO, and getting salsa and a bag of tostitos for 1/5th of the price. I'll avoid this establishment next time. It can be so much more.

If you want to get some delicious sangria you definitely need to stop by there!

I ordered the eggspress combo through Uber eats: 3 eggs, potato, a choice of breakfast meat, toast, and salad. Well, they forgot to give me the salad. The toast was also barely buttered (the surface area that was buttered was the size of a toonie). Everything else was average. Potatoes were well seasoned, scrambled eggs were well done. Price was also standard, around $10.

KOS restaurant & bar is Kensington market institution. The owner is friendly and experienced businessmen who has been running the most popular breakfast spot since the formation of the market maybe even before then, nobody knows since it always been here on Nassau near Bellevue. My favorite is eggs salamon, however KOS burgers are not to take lightly, and the fries are by far the best in the market, crunchy on the outside and soft inside, a work of art every time and envy of the bewildered scince.

I had the beef cheese burger, the burger was crispy and very tasty. Fries were also crispy and had a very good texture. The wait-time for the food was acceptable. The only reason it’s not 5 stars is that it was cold outside and they had no system to increase the heat of the patio.

The food was OK but at the top end of the price spectrum. If you are charging this much for french toast you should be using better ingredients; real maple syrup for example.

I came to Kos for the first time yesterday. The patio was excellent, and the food/drinks were reasonably priced. I had an excellent time at the restaurant until it came time to pay. My bill was around $14.00 + a 15% tip.

I had accidentally stated that I would be paying with my credit card rather than my debit, and so my card was declined.

When it came time to try again, the cost I was paying was now the $14.00 + a 15% tip before I was prompted again to place a tip. I didn't realize this until afterwards and so I ended up tipping 15% twice. When I realized this error, I asked if it is possible to just fix this issue. I was told that there is nothing that can be done and that I should be tipping this much because other people that same night had not tipped very well. I'm not entirely sure why that point was brought up me as a reason to be okay with having a false receipt statement, but as far as I'm concerned, the individual dealing with my payment stole an extra 15% tip from me.

Came for breakfast. Had 2 bloody Mary’s which were amazing (huge fan of the celery salt around the rim of the glass). Got the breakfast that comes with bacon ham and sausage. All three meats were amazing. The salad was really great and had a nice light dressing that was perfect for morning. Our server Isis was super nice and accommodating. I’d love to come back again and definitely suggest if you’re in town to stop!
