I went here for the first time a couple months back with some friends. I felt bad because we came a bit late but the owner is actually awesome! He let us dine in without issues, and served us their recommended on the list. I also got uni too, it was fresh, creamy and delicious! I will definitely come by again and dine in again! Thank you to the Kou Sushi Team! You're amazing!
Haven’t has sushi this bad in a long time. Seems like it was made by an amateur. The photo shows how poorly the roll was made, the rice sticks together. It just isn’t very appetizing. Will not recommend and will not return, not sure why the rating is at 4.3 star.
There is a reason why this place has a line forming outside every single day. The sushi is world-class, the service is excellent and I can’t stress enough how well done every dish is. If you like sushi you are in for a treat however, I recommend getting there early or ordering well ahead of time.
Food is fresh and tasty. Reasonably priced. I hope the consistency is maintained as most shops decline over the long term. I would recommend this place for a quick lunch/dinner and/or tray.
They have a fridge that has trays of uni and assorted sashimi if you wish to grab and go.
Great fresh sushi. Price extremely reasonable! They recently added a fish market in their offerings which offer higher-end fish like uni, toro and blue fin! Excellent price for premium quality sashimi!
Come here for the salmon don, include a soup and salad which great. Fish is always very fresh and the one who made our bowl was very nice, good service. Would recommend this sushi spot.
First time visiting this place, and did not disappoint! The price point is very fair, and the fish quality was amazing. Tuna is typically not my favourite, but this time it was:) All of the fish in my donburi was so fresh and buttery, and the tobiko on my kani salad was so crunchy and sweet. Very satisfied!
Found this hidden gem in Markham! The staff was so friendly and the food was even better. Fish options was super fresh and good portion sizes! Will be recommending to others
A cute little sushi place that I highly recommend. The quality and freshness of the food is superb and very decently priced! They offer unlimited self-service tea (rice tea, green tea, oolong). The staff were friendly with quick/efficient service. I will definitely come back here
I’m very disappointed in the urchin as they are not fresh and does not taste sweet at all. The sashimi salmon was ok. I wouldn’t recommend the urchin. I even asked the staff whether it’s fresh and she answered yes.
Happily discovered another great takeout and cozy dine-in Kou Sushi @Time Square Richmond hill! They serve up the freshest sashimi and all kinds of authentic Japanese sushi rolls! We normally takeout, but today wanna try dining in. First impressed by their self-served cozy place and the staff are so friendly; secondly, amazed by the freshest and yummy taste of their signature Tuna Tataki, different kinds of torched salmon, foie grad, uni sushi… melting in the mouth! Definitely recommend!
I was excited to try as this looked like a new sushi spot in Richmond Hill. The interior was simple and you can most definitely dine-in, while I was on the go and got takeout. They offered 20% off their grand opening for those paying with CASH. I was running a quick errand so I didn't bring cash with me and got their Salmon Lover set as salmon is a standard for quality. The wait took roughly 10 minutes for a roll, 4 pieces of salmon nigiri and 3 pieces of salmon sashimi which is not bad. The price was around $24 after tax. Everything seemed standard but nothing really wow'd me in terms of service, quality, and offering. I can get a full salmon lover set at Kibo down the street with a deluxe roll for the same price. This place is a good pick if you're craving for a quick fix in the immediate area, but not a go-to or recommendation for me.
