Kroran Uyghur Cuisine

Everything from the food, service to the place was excellent. We ordered the salad (fresh and lightly dressed) lamb soup (flavourful broth with generous portions of fall off the bone tender lamb) and hand pulled noodles (chewy noodles, savoury sweet sauce) - all delicious, authentic home style taste. Service was great, all the dishes were timed perfectly, and the place was clean.

Awesome! If I could put 6 stars, I would the food was excellent. Can't wait to go back

The place and it's decoration itself are really nice, cultural and clean, however, I got couple of hair in my food. They gave me 10% discount and were understanding and were willing to replace the full plate of food after they found second hair strand but I did not want them to do so as I felt they are a small restaurant and it would be a set back an left that whole food plate to them but later they cooked me some other food but without it's full potential and less quantity, which I only realized after bringing home. Overall appreciate they cook great food especially, the kabebs and more importantly everything halal, however, I do not feel like going back.

Also, they have seating for 24-28 people. Small place about 6 tables.

Definitely a must try for those that are looking for a meal guaranteed to send you home full. The really great inclusion were some authentic meats in the dishes such as the tripe (lamb tripe in this case) and the kidneys on skewer. Flavours were exceptional and the hear was spot on. We have never tried Uyghur before but will definitely have it on our list going forward!

My recent experience at Kroran Uyghur Cuisine was an absolute disaster, thanks to their abysmal service. I cannot stress how much I regret wasting my time at this establishment. From the moment I walked in, I knew this was going to be a catastrophe.

I placed my order and was told my food is going to be ready in 15 mins and then commenced the agonizing wait, which extended for a painful hour. During this excruciating period, I witnessed a group of 10 people who arrived after me order and receive their food, and a take-out order that was placed right in front of me being served. It was as though the restaurant staff had some twisted sense of humor, prioritizing others but me. The utter lack of respect for my time and the mismanagement of orders was infuriating.

To make matters worse, when I asked to speak to the manager to address this blatant incompetence, he had the audacity to invite me into the kitchen. I kid you not, he asked me to discuss my concerns in an area that is both unprofessional and hazardous. The manager's attitude was a reflection of the entire establishment's disregard for basic customer service principles.

Instead of offering a sincere apology for the gross mishandling of my order, the manager decided to argue with me. He seemed to have no concern for the fact that I had already spent an hour waiting and that my food was still not ready. He kept repeating that he was "making it now" as if that somehow justified the absurd delay and the lack of customer care.

In my opinion, Kroran Uyghur Cuisine is run by a group of individuals who have no understanding of the fundamental principles of customer service or the basic mechanics of running a restaurant (should be inspected). Their lack of professionalism, disregard for customers, and utter incompetence left me feeling disrespected, frustrated, and genuinely disappointed. This was my first and has to be the last visit. Save yourself the trouble and avoid this place at all costs. There are plenty of other establishments that value their customers and know how to provide decent service.

Food was good, service wasn’t. Dishes that were meant to be eaten together were served far apart. Food got cold, probably would get takeout next.

Not worth it. Too overpriced. Greedy owners. Go to Midland Finch so many skewers place with one third of the price.

This is the best uyghur food resturant that I ever been. Taste of the food is unbelievable. Service is awesome. Nice and clean resturant. Real halal resturant.

Best kebab in town - you wont find this taste anywhere else in Toronto. Highly recommended

People were good, no long waiting, food is great.location is excellent, quite and good place to enjoy HALAL chinese food.

We loved the food. The samosas are so tasty! The service was discreet and fast and there weren't many people when we went - around 4pm on a weekend. Maybe keep in mind it's meat centered.

One of my halal favorite joints to visit whenever I am in the area. Food is so yummy, and the hosts and servers are always offering exceptional service.

Amazing food that nourished the soul. Loved the lamb soup and kebabs. The couple that owns this restaurant put in their heart and soul in making food that truly sings. This hidden gem is definitely worth trying.

Dont go wrong with the looks from outside, its a great cozy dine in spot, clean from inside. Food is great! Service is amazing, must try Quruq korima dish! One of the best hand pulled noodles i have ever had.

Absolutely amazing. The food portions were pretty large and the server was a cool voiced man. The dumplings were alright but the hot sauce (that I recommend you get) elevated the flavor.

The noodles with a name i dont want to pronounce were by far the highlight. They were chewy and extremely flavorful, seasoned perfectly. I felt like ratatouille personally stroked my hair and hand fed me these noodles.

I give it a 9.4/10 on the Talha scale which translates to roughly a 5 star rating.

Succulent and authentic food. Made fresh by this family managed restaurant. The Lamb skewers and Lamb soup are so rich in taste and beaming with healthy and rejuvenating nutrition.

If you want food that warms the soul than Kroran is the place to be. Absolutely delicious and unmatched halal Uyghur food in all of Ontario. This is a must visit place. Every bite feels like a hug?

I have never tried Uyghur cuisine before so i was a little sceptical BUT this place is amazing! Decor is average but food is amazing! Soup, skewers and noodles dish was really good, its a must try!

Found this North-Western Chinese random gem with a friend. What a find! Flavors were bright and complex. The sauce in the Uyghur was so rich and wonderful. Went great with all the other dishes. Service was friendly and washroom was super clean. Highly recommend if you in the mood for something different!

One of the very few restaurants that I went to and can only say good stuff about. Food was amazing and service was fast.

Some Uyghur students I met in Kitchener recommended this place and after reading all the great reviews and seeing the mouth-watering photos of the food, my wife & I were determined to try it out. And we were not disappointed!

The restaurant itself is just a small place in a little plaza and easy to miss. Inside, it’s nicely decorated with cultural artifacts and photos. Service is prompt and friendly. There’s not a whole lot of seating so we were happy it wasn’t that busy, even on a Friday evening.

The menu isn’t extensive but even so, we had a hard time choosing just a couple of dishes to try! We finally settled on the Uyghur Chicken (Dapanji), a savoury chicken stew with potatoes, flat noodles, chili peppers, garlic, ginger, onions, and spices, and the Petir Manta, which are Uyghur-style steamed dumplings filled with lamb, onion, and spices. The dumplings were delicious! They were savoury, not spicy. The server provided us with some chili sauce and black vinegar if we cared to use them. My wife absolutely loved the taste of the dumplings with a dash of black vinegar on them. The chicken dish smelled heavenly and tasted heavenly too! Definitely spicy, at a medium heat level for me, but so delicious.

The chicken dish is offered in a portion for 2 people or for 3 people. We chose the one for 2 people but even so, we had leftovers to take home, along with a couple of dumplings too. We were honestly so impressed with the food and the service here! And are determined to go back until we’ve tried all the items on their menu! Highly recommended!

I went there with my family and overall my experience is okay. Nice cosy place, feels very authentic in terms of atmosphere and food. I had a few things on their menu. The lamb kabob comes with 4 skewers, basically 2 skewers of fat and 2 skewers of lamb, was tasty and I did enjoy it as it was flavorful and tender. Beef soman noodles was also tasty and enjoyable. Had the meat pie and it was great but very oily on the bottom, did not enjoy it fully as my hands were covered with oil and we didn't receive any napkins. Overall the food that I ordered was great. Service needs work, the young gentleman that was serving us did not come and ask if we needed anything during our time there. Cutlery was brought out after food arrived. No napkins, no plate for myself. I went to the front desk and asked for napkins because my hands were filled with oil from the meat pie, the worker gave me like two napkins. I'm not trying to bash, but please improve the customer service.

Tried Kroran Lengmen for the first time, the taste is good. The noodle itself is a bit much for one person. I would prefer to have more toppings.

I love their online order system. It’s really easy to use. And it does save lots of waiting time.

I'm sure we've tried everything on the menu here and have yet to figure out our favourite because the food is just that good! If you've never had uighur food, please come to this place!

Today was my first time trying out Uyghur food, and you won't believe how delicious it is. First of all, let's talk about the vibes and atmosphere of this restaurant. The atmosphere of this place is incredible and filled with cultural paintings of Uyghur culture, the staff dress up in cultural clothing, and the overall appearance is bright and open, perfect for taking your friends and family to try something new! Now, let's get on with the food. I ordered the Pétir Manta, an Uyghur cuisine of steamed dumplings with finely chopped lamb, onion, and black pepper marinade. To top it off, I was served the Ünche Lengmen, an Uyghur style dish containing handmade chopped noodles with a stir-fried of fresh vegetables and beef. This place has so many options to choose from on the menu, different meal servings for your party, and the traditional Uyghur Tea. Check it out!

Uyghur Cuisine, first time trying and I did not know what to expect but WOW! That was the first thing that my brain registered from my tongue as I had their Stir fried beef with eggs, mushrooms, and veggies (see picture). It has a distinct flavour that reminded me a bit of hakka stir fried beef but with a more unique blend of spices that excited my taste buds. A must eat for anyone thinking of something new to try. I went with my family and everyone loved their stir fried beef.

I also tried their Dapanji, which is a spicy chicken stew with potatoes and it was hot! Reminded me a lot of my mother's south asian curry chicken but again there was an extra secret spice there that gave me a pleasant surprise with another unique flavor. It was great! (unfortunately my hunger took the best of me again as I gobbled up the Dapanji before I could take the picture). Everything was delicious!

The place was nice and clean. Tables were cleaned and sanitized right away The staff were nice, friendly and food came out pretty quickly.definitely going back for more!

First time trying Uyghur cuisine and this place totally nailed it. The food was fresh and tasty. Would highly recommend.

Been there 2 weeks ago, ordered Stir-fried cumin Beef and plain noodle (instead of rice), few tables; the lady was there all the time if we need anything, food was amazing, worth a try if you're a Chinese-food fan, competing Hakka restaurants across Scarborough.

Simply incredible food! The special qorima and lamb kawap were truly next level. Nice spot and great service, highly recommend!

Unique authentic Uyghur cuisine. Only a few in the GTA. Liberal use of cumin on their lamb skewers with the right amount of fat, just hoped the fat was grilled a bit more to crisp the outside. The kidney skewer was good too, with a nice texture. Hand-pulled noodles taste fresh, just wished it had a lot more beef and veggies on it. The lamb dumplings are good too, nice and big. The price though was a bit steep for the amount you get.

But to make a dish that was $8 to $21.99 lol that's crazy

The food was delicious. We had: Dapanji, Lamb kebabs, Quruk quorima, and Yaghashqulaq. Never had Uyghur cuisine before but was very impressed. The server was very polite and well mannered. We will definitely go back!

Very good Uyghur restaurant. Me and my family truly enjoyed the food. The food arrived one by one which I liked since you could focus on that food. Great costumer service and clean restaurant. The managment could consider building another washroom since there is only one. Amazing place over all, definatly recommended.

It's over priced. Quality and taste is very impressive. But, not the value. You barely find 4-5 meat pieces in the meal.

I had never tried Uyghur food until I found Kroran, but I'm glad I did! I tried the lamb dumplings and the hand-pulled noodles with veggies and beef, the noodles were my favorite, very flavourful. The majority of the items on the menu are lamb based, so if you like lamb, give the food here a try!

Great food! Not usually a fan of lamb but I really enjoyed everything I tried here. We had the beef lengmen, lamb kawap and manta (lamb dumplings).

A great place for Uyghur cuisine! The lamb skewers were delicious. Customer service was excellent and the food came very quickly despite it being busy Sunday night. Everything we ordered was amazing and I will definitely come back again.

This is honestly one of my favourite hidden Gems of Scarborough! Their Pétir Manta is a must have! The staff is so nice and friendly.

We ordered a noodle dish and manta. Everything was made fresh. We were served by a lady that later I was told by a friend is the owner (along with her husband) of the establishment.
She was very helpful and made sure we understood what we were ordering. It's a small establishment with limited seating at the moment. But I would recommend it to anyone wanting to get authentic food or even to try for the first time.

The owner is a kind gentleman; their food is quite unique and delicious. I visited here many times and I haven’t had a single item that I didn’t like. All my friends from a variety of cultural backgrounds thoroughly enjoy the food.

The owner is rude, unfriendly n obnoxious, I will never support him Didn't realize Zip Kewap $4.99 min order of 4 and I ordered main as well so explained I over ordered n he just flipped. The 4 skewers $20 is definitely not worth the cost. So disappointed ️ no star from me one star is too many

Visited here back in 2019. Food was all delicious and flavourful. Staff were friendly and helpful. Service was efficient. Restaurant setting and atmosphere is quite on the small cozy side which is great for a quiet dinner. No complaints, everything went smoothly. The portion sizes are huge; each can feed about 2-3 persons. Definitely worth a revisit.

Not bad! The hand pulled noodle are awesome! Lamb kebab were better when we could dine in, take out kebab is just not that tender. But still a great place for a Friday night dinner!

Very clean, waitress is nice. Tastes a bit less salty than I expected but overall good. The skewer took around 20min after ordering. Chicken was faster. My boyfriend said the kidney skewer is very authentic and tasty (it has the oily part, not dried at all)

Amazing Halal Uyghur Cuisine. Try the kidney and regular kabobs. Loved every bite of it. Clean and cozy restaurant. Must try.

For a place that makes their own noodles, they should cook it consistently.quality of beef wasnt all that.one person handling all the tables.

I developed fondness for Uyghur cuisine after visiting another Uyghur restaurant several times. I decided to stop by this one with my family. We ordered lamb kabab and house noodles. The noodles was chewy and had less meat than expected. The lamb kabab skewers had 4 thin pieces of meat each and surprisingly there was 1/2 pieces of only fat out of this 4 thin pieces of meat. Money wise their skewers are equally priced to their nearby competitor, but the quantity was far less. We spent $35 dollar for food worth not more than $20. Very disappointing experience.

Food was very bad, place was dirty.unfriendly Muslim people, pretty grumpy people.servis was really bad.i found pieces of metals in my food.meat smell is bad.

Portions was very bad compared to other Ughyur places. Spice balance was not appropriate. Don’t recommend!
