KSJ Monster Pub and Restaurant

We really liked KSJ Monster Pub when they first opened, but not so much anymore. The last 2 orders we placed on Skip the Dishes were disappointing. The 1st time they made a substitution on their own without informing us or updating their menu in the app to the new corrected item - anytime with other restaurants we've received a phone call if they can't fulfil the exact item (s) we've ordered to confirm if we're ok with the substitutions. We received carrot cake instead of cheesecake. Not trying to complain over something minor like that, but it could actually be a huge issue and liability if someone were to have an allergy. The 2nd time last night they did the same again, substituting chicken nuggets for chicken tenders, where the chicken nuggets are the equivalent to Janes frozen chicken nuggets from the grocery store, and also didn't include fries. I called the restaurant right away and all they could offer was for me to pick up the missing fries sometime at my convenience. Overall, we had high hopes for this new restaurant in Bowmanville and have placed so many orders with them over the last few months, but we're definitely disappointed and probably won't order from them again.

The ambiance at this restaurant and pub, is just like going home. I am officially a regular now. I go here about almost every other day. There daily specials are amazing. Their portion size is great. I love the Monster!

Was there tonight on a Thursday, had their wing special. Excellent deal and very good. But out server Emily was absolutely amazing, will definitely be back.

Never have had a bad meal here, service is always above and beyond and karaoke nights are the best! Blonde bartender always looks after me!

Went to celebrate being sworn in on city council and Destinee was amazing! Prompt service, great food, and fantastic ambiance. Will be returning soon!

Read the reviews and decided to go for Sunday morning breakfast what a mistake, first they don't serve decaf coffee my wife cannot drink regular coffee when the waitress brought the coffee for me and hot chocolate for my wife the cups were dirty no spoon and no condiments when asked for a fresh cup the waitress got an attitude. When our breckfest came the eggs were under cooked the rye toast was hard as a rock. Overall a very disappointing experience and I cannot recommend this restaurant to friends and family.

I stopped by the Monster Pub today for the first time for a perfectly chilled subzero pint of beer, which was also very fairly priced!

The place inside was very nicely decorated and the bartender Amilyn was absolutely great!

She had recommended I try the Butter Chicken Kothu which was delicious! Amilyn was very attentive and made sure drinks stayed full and we had everything we needed for our dine in.

A big thank you to the kitchen for the tasty dish I ordered, and a huge thank you to Amilyn for her 5 star service!

Can't wait to stop in again! Cheers!

Went here Tuesday night. Was our first time visiting this place. Oh my god the food was so good! We had garlic bread with cheese and bacon, monster spicy fries which were delicious. I had Smokey BBQ wings and my husband had Thai chilli chicken as our mains. We could tell the cook loved their job. Will definitely be coming back!

Oh my gosh locals! Sooooo delicious fresh & unique! We started with Monster Fries as an appetizer! So hot, spicy & yummy! Then I had the “Monster” signature Koththu! So delicious! And service was great! Can’t wait to come back & try other menu items!

I love the vibe of this place the service is top notch and friendly food is great and the regulars are even better! Would recommend this place for any occasion! To anyone!

We ordered roast beef au jus and halibut fish and chips. Both meals were tasty and decent portions. Service was prompt and friendly. We plan on returning.

Amazing food and impeccable service and super clean restaurant. Heather was our waitress and she was incredibly nice. She went through the food menu with us and gave us great suggestions. Told us about the restaurant history too. She was attentive and kind. Definitely would go back. We had wings and they were flawless.

Food is great, but the service, is incomparable. Heather, the head bartender, is absolutely amazing. She's personable, kind, friendly and on top of her game. She's truly one of a kind, and Monster Pub is EXTREMELY lucky to have a staff member like Heather, to be apart of their establishment. The renovations have made it a more comfortable environment, and much more welcoming. ️ 4/5 for the food

Great food and service - Thursday nights wing deal is the best. Definitely recommend and we are going to be regulars for sure.

My husband and I went for breakfast. Our initial impression as we walked through the doors, was that it was very clean and well kept. The sitting areas looked like new. There was adequate lighting and many large high definition tv screens. It would be a great place to go to watch a game and get a drink.
The staff member who greeted, and served us, was lovely.
The day we went they had a special for breakfast $3.99 for a full 3 egg breakfast, that came with choice of bacon, ham or sausage, toast and home fries! I upgrade my home fries to the ‘fries poutine’ and wasn’t disappointed
The portions were more than fair and the plating/presentation was thoughtful and clean. We never realized how big a deal this was, but the dish-ware and cutlery were extremely clean and well cared for as well.
For the two of us to get a 3 egg breakfast each (one with the upgraded home fries), a coffee each and a chocolate milk, our bill came to just shy of $20. And we had leftovers to take home!

Don’t be fooled by the name; we were very happy with our experience and we’re glad we found this little gem in Bowmanville. We look forward to returning and trying their lunch or dinner menu as well.

Found hair in my burger, the owner still wanted me to pay for a meal I wanted to puke on after realizing I was gagging on someones hair! Didn't even offer to replace the meal

Saw their sign for 90¢ wings and had to try. Ordered hot and Buffalo traditional wings. Wings were big and tasty! Will come back to try other menu items. Whiskey selection is nice too. Our server Shirley was great too.

We had one of the best meals ever. Delicious and hot!
