Kumon Math and Reading Centre of Etobicoke - Mimico

My child has learned so much since I’ve registered him in kumon (reading). I strongly recommend, as it has helped a lot throughout junior and senior kindergarten.

Great learning center, my son is accelerating in both math and writing. He loves doing his practice work and getting stickers for his achievements. Everyone is very friendly friendly.

I have 2 boys - ages 8 and 6 - enrolled. My oldest has been doing Kumon for almost 2 years, and my younger one just started in September. It is amazing how much they have achieved in a short time. The instructors are wonderful and Ritu is a pleasure. We are very happy we enrolled the boys and love this location and staff.

My 5 year old has been enjoying attending Kumon. Ritu is absolutely amazing and welcoming. Having my daughter in Kumon has significantly assisted her learning. Her confidence has soared. I would definately recommend kumon.

Great place for kids to learn math and reading. My son has been here since he was four years old and have used all the skills in reading and math in his school work.

My two children have received a fantastic education at this centre. Their grades and abilities in reading, writing and mathematics are noticeably improved. Not only have I received a great deal from my small investment, but the staff and owners of this location are outstanding.

My son did not enjoy the work load or the class and he is wanting to attend other programs. He went to only one class. When we tried calling throughout the week to cancel before when he was supposed to go in no one answered. We called today the night he was supposed to go in and was advised that they already took payment even though we were told they were not processing payment till feb 26th. I asked for a refund because it was only one class. I was told by Ritu that my son is too young to know what he likes and to make him go in for the month since she already processed payment. After telling her I will not make my child go to something he doesn’t want to go to she then asked to speak to my husband because he is the man. What is that supposed to mean? I just want a refund.

I knew that my son was having a hard time with reading. We debated on signing him up at at kumon, but decided to give it a go. Since then, which has been almost 6 months, we've seen a huge improvement. Kumon gives him the structure and foundational learning blocks to succeed. Overall, the manager has been responsive to my questions and the staff friendly. I would like more feedback on his progress. Otherwise, worth the time and expense.

My daughter attends kumon to supplement her school program. Since starting kumon she has improved her multiplication and division skills. The daily practice makes a big difference. Ms. Ritu and team are very helpful and thoughtful.

We have 2 children attending this school for almost 3 years. Great learning structure, friendly and patient teachers, and you can tell Ritu really cares about her students and their progress.

My son and I had a wonderful experience with the Etobicoke Kumon center. I saw improvements in reading and math with my son within a couple short months of sessions with the team. I recommend this location

The staff are professional, communicative and understanding. Ms. Ritu is caring and address each student individually. Ms. Amy is patient and kind. The price is reasonable and the results last. My daughter started attending a month ago and I've noticed major improvement.

We have had a great experience with Kumon from the very beginning (its been a few years!). My 2 children have become much more confident and patient with Math - something I couldn't teach them myself. The methodical approach is well understood and they progress thru each level very quickly. Ritu and the team treat us like family and have been great to work with. I would (& often do) recommend Kumon to anyone.

This is an excellent Kumon center. Staffs, specifically Ms. Ritu takes care of the kids and their progress in a great way.

We recently came to canada, and this is the first time my daughter has joined Kumon. Really a good place of learning. Bring out the learning ability of kids by doing practice sheets. It makes u to go through a single concept multiple times so that its by heart.
Overall happy with the way she is going.

I have one suggestion, especially for the english sheet, mainly with the grammar. Along with writing take their oral exams too or in the sheet ask them to write sentences with noun, verb adjective etc so that kids are aware where to use what.
Also include one vocaboulary test too. I have seen sheets where kids have to write words matching with the pics but in my case she just fit those words in the blanks. Doesnt give emphasis on knowing their meanings.

My daughter has been at Kumon for reading for about 4 months now. She has already moved up several levels and there’s a significant improvement in both her reading ability and confidence at home. Her instructors are lovely and she enjoys going. Ritu is very flexible and understanding about working with our schedule and preparing work for missed lessons, so that my daughter remains on track even when she is sick. The program itself is based on repetition, which can be a little boring for a 6 year old, hence the 4 star rating. That being said, the program certainly works!
