A recently discovered nut allergy in my toddler has left us craving Chinese food but unfortunately not any options out there. KungFu Bistro to the rescue! I'll be honest and say I really wasn't expecting much. I ordered online then followed up with a phone call to confirm the nut allergy. I was assured nothing to worry about at all. It was a large order but was promised to be ready in 17 minutes. I gave them 30 minutes just in case, and was pleasantly surprised it was packaged and waiting for me still piping hot. The venue itself is very clean, tastefully decorated and modern. Was served by a polite gentleman at the cash. Drove 45 minutes to my house praying that the food would still be warm and worth the commute. I was very pleasantly surprised! Hands down the best Chinese food I've had in a very long time! The General Tao has a wicked kick! I usually have to ask for extra spicy. Who would have thought that the chicken balls actually have chicken in them!? !? ! Like large chunks of chicken! The juicy and tender beef and vegetables was cooked to perfection! No chewy stringy beef. Literally melt in your mouth. Vegetables have just the right amount of crunch without being raw. Chicken fried rice, steamed rice, Lemon Soo Guy, all of it was perfect! You have gained a new monthly customer! My only ask is that you please maintain this same level of service and quality! It was worth the drive for me and I can't wait for leftovers tonight!
I heard about this place from a friend and i stopped by to get some dinner. I enjoyed my wonton noodles soup and even through it wasn't on the menu they made it for me!
Thanks again to the staff and the chefs! The sushi here is soooo good! I loved the sweet potato fury roll!
Love the holiday themes they do! I went dine-in in mid october and they had great halloween vibes and instead of fortune cookies they gave halloween candy!
Staff was very friendly and very helpful too! Keep up the great work!
Great food and service. We just moved in the area and have been very pleased multiple times already with this restaurant. The Wonton soup is fresh and best ever. Planning on returning many times.
Nut allergy? I have one, too. It's been a LONG time since I felt safe eating anywhere. The severity of my allergy is so often brushed off. Kung-fu Bistro took my allergy seriously. FINALLY tried pad tie! You want to eat without questioning every bite, or waiting for the itch? Eat here! Plus it delicious, and the portions are solid.
Great place to have dinner! We went on a Sunday night around 5pm, and the restaurant was steady with take out orders and dine in patrons as time went on. We tried one of the sushi rolls (can’t remember the name), and the Thai dinner for 2: 2 massive spring rolls, Thai golden chicken curry, vegetable pad Thai, steamed white rice & banana spring rolls for dessert. We ended up taking our dessert home because we were so full from the large portions. The staff were all very friendly & helpful answering any questions that we had when ordering. Would definitely recommend you give them a try!
We ate here in early June, and it's become our favourite West Ottawa restaurant for Asian fusion & 'Canadian Chinese' food. The young front-of-store staff were incredibly polite, knowledgeable & helpful. The dine-in food was exceptionally delicious! Can't wait to try additional items off the menu, especially in-house specialities. We live in Kanata Lakes and it's worth the drive to West Stittsville for quality Asian fusion & Canadian Chinese food!
Do not go here for Thai food. Drunken noodles had no taste although I asked for medium spice. The chicken seemed poached, very white and did not appear cooked through. 4 pieces of broccoli and a couple of red peppers were the only vegetables and I was charged more.
We ordered take out today. I had the black bean chicken, which was a bit low on the chicken and a bit high on the celery. Still tasted quite good. My partner had the honey garlic chicken, no complaints there!
Don’t they look like the same plate? It is actually two different plates, 72pcs total party rolls combo for $108 plus tax. What you get? Cucumber, avocado, raw salmon, imitation crab meat, wrapped with rice and then another roll wrapped with seaweed. There’s no presentation, no quality ingredients for a whopping $108 roll combo. At the end, the store was nice enough to offer some discount and I have to say the restaurant is clean, atmosphere is nice and waitresses were very friendly and courteous. I suggested to the store that they should either change the menu (make it more clear on what rolls are included) or take it off the menu completely and I hope that they would treat this review seriously.
This place is lovely! I love that I can eat here without worrying about my peanut allergy. The staff is always accommodating and friendly, and the food is so yummy.
Loved dinning here. Cool place which is usually empty as most of the people order takeout. We had the entire place to ourselves as we went in for early dining. Ordered soup, noodles and enjoyed a great evening with some great music.
Rice is stale, portions small and underwhelming. Better value and equivalent quality found in Loblaws prepared food isle.
Edit: No thank you. The salmon and tuna was mushy and warm instead of bitefull and room temp. It tasted as if it were prepared days before. The rice had that flavour as if the refridgerator had dehumidified it.
