Service can be awful when busy, but otherwise their tempura and teriyaki stuff is delicious.

I think it's close to the taste of Japan.

Food is satisfactory for what you are paying for. They give you a lot, so if your looking quantity you won't be disappointed. But they forget so much when they get really busy. You have to personally check what they serve you

Price: lunch is under $30 and dinner is $37

My experience: I've been coming here for years and the ayce is worth it. The food is great, service is pleasant. Sometimes they'll forget an item but I find this happens at some ayce spots because we order so much, it's not a big deal and they'll bring it out happily if you remind them. The fish is fresh and tasty. You definitely get your money's worth.

Does not deserve even 1 star. Gave a used straw on a cup of water. Menu says “All prices change Thanks”. What is your price? When you asked a manager what is the price on their food, they say “it’s a dollar or more “I think””. I said they used a used straw they shake their hands like nothing happened. Don’t waste your money eating here and get attitude then get poison. Bye and never come back!

Love the food here but please PLEASE check the bill thoroughly before paying. They don’t openly charge a service fee but the last 2 times I went, they literally gave themselves like 25% or 30% as tip without even asking me, I only realized after getting home. I usually leave a maximum 15% tip. So yeah they will literally steal your money so be very very careful.

I was debating if I should put 4 or 3 stars, just because at the end of a day, it tasted good. But, I was a bit upset with the presentation and sushi "condition" (I am not sure how to call it).

My delivery of 30 Maki was placed into this one container, and they were so squeezed into it, so it was hard to pull it out. They sticked 5o each other, and every time I tried to take one, it either broke, either I got to 2 pieces coming out.

They didn't separate Wasabi with that green grass plastic, so the piece that was closest to it got all the Wasabi juice - almost impossible to eat, if you like to go light on Wasabi.

Also with delivery - they placed soy cause on top of hot miso soup. I do not know if this is a good thing or not, but warm soy sauce was a new thing for me.

When you eat Maki, they tasted good. Thank you for sprinkling them with sesame seeds. Great flavour addition.

We ordered 3 things off the menu with 2 coke drinks and we were charged $91. Food was decent but not worth what we were charged. Should've went to Moxies instead. This was a robbery. Won't be back.

They need to step up their game. I was not pleased. If I didn't have to pay I wouldn't have.

My review from 7 year ago was 5/5 but since you're price for crispy crab roll has doubled from 3.50 to 7 I no longer come here.

Don’t order the ginger dressing salad. They charged $4.50 on Uber, almost $5 got just big pieces of lettuce and nothing else. Could have made the lettuce bite side and maybe added some cucumber or something else. Also I ordered a green dragon roll and 2 pieces didn’t have shrimp. Feeling a little ripped off.

I've made an order and got extra set of same sushi roll and not the correct one I've ordered. When I asked waitress of mistake, she threw away entire set and brought correct one. What a waste of product, instead of bringing me correct one and leave the wrong one, she decided to throw it away. Petty-minded.

I have been a loyal customer here at koyoto for over 5 years. Through the years I have had many friends tell me to stop eating there as they all gotten food poisoning from eating there, today I finally experienced that. I feel terrible. Now I see what everyone’s been telling me and I am staying away from kotoyo sushi forever. They sushi can taste good but this is not worth this, and you can tell it’s definitely not the cleanest establishment so I can’t say I am surprised.

First time trying this place, the staff were very friendly, provided great customer service. The sushi was very good. The prices are quite fair.

Last 2 times I've ordered from them for pick up they were over 20mins late with the order. The Food is good, but they are always behind and inaccurate with the ready times.

Great all you can eat sushi (when it was open for dine in, used to go every friday), lately just take out but still maintains great quality for sushi. Service is usually quick, except friday nights but understandable since there is a lot of people ordering take out friday night from them. Speaks to how good the sushi is. Really hoping they go back to indoor dining soon.

Too bad, food is great, ordering online and pickup is the worst. Again today, ordered online for 3 rolls, edamame and soup @6: 30, received confirmation ready about 30min later, went to pick up, they took my money but gave me a buzzer and exactly 1 hr later I received my order. The other customers outside waiting were also furious. Too bad this will be my last and probably everyone there tonight.

When you order online they dont even start your order until you pay at the store and then still dont start it until 1 hr later.worst service ever!

I’m so very disappointed at the waiting time you have to wait so very long for your order normally more than half an hour and if you’re lucky half an hour their service is so bad now and their food is so garbage they used to be really good I am so disappointed for the location where they’re at they should do better they for sure lost me as a customer are used to be a regular there for a very long time but lately it’s been really bad their food has been garbage and the waiting time is horrible very very disappointed I absolutely don’t recommend it

We had ordered a $50 tray over the phone they had said it would be ready in about an hour I go pick it up after the hour and it still wasn’t ready after they had told me another five minutes as if the five minutes came turn it into 20 minutes and then 30. Worst service! Really unpleased as this happed 3 times already! Waited 3 1/2 hours for my food!

Surprisingly not very friendly. I'm sure the sushi is good, but the lady at the front was not nice at all, especially to 2 elderly customers ordering. Discounts when paying cash too, so I'm guessing they aren't friendly with the tax man either.

Says open at 10am but when you arrive they say wait 30 minutes because "nobody is there because they come from scarborough". Then dont open at 10? If you want to answer calls only at 10 then dont put your business hours as open at 10. I ignored the previous reviews about them being slow and rude, but seriously dont waste your time going here like me, they dont value your business at all and those reviews are real.

Food is ok, but the staff can be so stupid. The do whatever they want, don't listen. Wrong order when I checked in car. Brought it to there attention. They found my item in someone else's order. Then they put the item I returned in there order, that's after I opened and looked at. I can't believe how dumb some people can be. Next call Food inspection agency.

Really good food, but atrocious customer service. The lady who usually answer the phone is not great at english and can come across as extremely rude. I've been hung up on once because she didn't understand everything I was asking and kind of just gave up. If you can look past the customer service, the food is great. They have some of the best rolls in the GTA that I've experienced.

I'll be honest I liked this place because it was cheap but I just bought 200$ worth of sushi and they made a big deal about a couple of extra packets of soya sauce and wasabi. If you want quality and customer service DO NOT ORDER FROM THIS PLACE. They do not appreciate your business they only see you as a dollar sign!

I was a customer of this restaurant for food delivery. The food is good but the service is HORRIBLE! They always forget items that you have already paid and always say next time they will give it to you. This is the third time they do the same and I can’t believe you pay for your food and they don’t deliver it.
Also if they run out of something they don’t let you know if you want something else.
No ordering from this place ever again!

Worst customer service ever. Ordered sushi and appetizers and they only delivered half of it but charged the whole order. Called to complaint and they told me they were not going to send the driver again with the rest of my order. They literally robbed me. Horrible experience. DO NOT ORDER FROM HERE.

The food has always been pretty great however, the service has always been so very poor:/. It really kills a mood when you’re excited to order sushi from your favourite place but have it ruined by an extremely rude worker.

This spot is the one I always prefer. I eat in a lot of restaurants but here I go the most. The team is very cordial and the food they offer is so good. I never miss an opportunity to have a nice dinner here. I recommend this place with pleasure.

By the looks of it the place can get pretty busy (rightfully so, such tasty food) and overwhelming for the staff. Please be nice to them.

I've ordered food from this place for the last 10 weeks in a row. Today the driver delivered my food, I paid, and he proceeds to tell me not to order from them again because it's too far for him to drive. I called the restaurant to complain and while the gentleman on the phone was apologetic, he says to wait until they hire a new driver (because they only have 1), or open a location closer to Maple. If you don't want to deliver to my location don't allow it on your website.

Solid all around. Tried the spicy salmon sashimi, shrimp tempura, salmon sashimi and the agedashi tofu. Found it kind of odd they did not separate the vegetarian/non-vegetarian items in takeout (although I did not specify so).

LOVE the food BUT.they ABSOLUTELY play with the amounts they charge

ordered 6 orders of Cali Rolls (2 days later) called in order, was told $22.40 (math doesn't add up) when I attended at location to pick up food, was told the amount I owed for 6 orders of Cali Rolls was now $33.50

Totally disorganized. Wait times are unacceptable. 1+ hour for orders called in. Total wait time close to two hours. Won't go back.

My favourite sushi spot in Vaughan. Can be hit or miss though. The fish tastes fresh and the menu is big enough for me to try something new every time. Service is prompt and the waiters/waitresses are quite respectful. Definitely try the sushi pizzas.my personal favourite.

Sushi fresh n good.my favorite is the dragon roll. They are well prepared for covid.though take out is only option at this time. Be prepared to wait if u come to store last minute about 10min or so, or even better order ahead!

Done with Kyoto! We’ve been loyal patrons for years and even though customer service was never good, we returned on a very regular basis for the food but not anymore. Covid has taken its toll on many small businesses and they appreciate your patronage but Kyoto doesn’t seem to care whether you’re a loyal customer or not. Orders are promised within a reasonable time frame but are never ready when you go to pick up. The line ups to pick up are out the door and if you’re lucky enough to make it inside, there are another 20 people waiting while social distancing is not observed. We ordered at 6: 20 and were told 45 mins. When we got there, it was another hour wait outside in the cold. Having been through this too many times, we finally had enough. We left and at 9 pm got a call that our order was ready, two and a half hours later! We’re done with Kyoto for good.

Kyoto sushi is a hit or miss for some I can argue that there sushi is one of the best in the Vaughan area taste great every time I try it. The only problem with this place is the wait times are ridiculously long, and you are always given an inaccurate time of when your order is ready, but other than that if you have a few hours of spare time I would give this place a try.

Sushi is ok minus. Small rolls and the sushi kept falling apart when picking it up with chopsticks. We were ending up eating with our hands. Service is horrible! Feels like they are doing you a favor.

Tempura banana was good and the ice cream was decent. That's about all that was decent though, because the wait for food was long, the rolls were barely put together, and the ingredients were definitely not fresh. On par with the food was the terrible service. We were never asked for anything and had to hunt down the servers to get any of our orders placed. One of waitresses yanked my paper out of my hand and left while I was mid sentence. The 1 star was definitely for the ice cream since it wasn't prepared in house. There was a 10% discount if you pay cash, but it's ok since I saved 15% of the tip.

My go to sushi in woodbridge, affordable and quick. Dont be afraid to wave down your waitress if you need something i know people will mention that the service isnt great but their servers are managing many things at once so its not rude to give a reminder or ask questions.

Great sushi! The all you can eat sushi lunch was really good. The service was prompt and the next order came out quickly.

The udon noodles were not that great, however the rest of the food, (for us was sushi) was good, one of my favorites is the spicy crab sushi however it is hard to eat more than a roll, the service was okay the waitress moved with celerity, to bring us our drinks considering the place was at capacity at the time and the food came pretty quickly. We had come when the place was full and left when it was probably half or so full and i would have to say it is a lot better empty than full, with less people the less noise there was and it was more relaxing.

Noisy. Perpetually busy. This is a fast food sushi place with orders not exactly being served quickly.

Dishes are filling but not overly enjoyable. Rolls have too much rice. Mayo is applied liberally and is all over the place. Fish is just average to below average. Farmed salmon is too fatty.

Not the best sushi place iv been to price is great but u defanintly need to learn the phrase but you get what you pay for before coming in

Food is always great here. Prefer the dine in option over take out as other customers tend to jump I front of you for their orders staff are great and helpful

Waitresses throw the food on your table.
No water, tea, or soft drink refill.
No smile, no social.some dont speak or understand english

Love the sushi and the staff here. The ladies at the cash are extremely friendly. They've always gotten my order right and always give us extras when we order take out. The price is also super reasonable!

Pretty average quality. Servers were wonderful and quick. But they started washing the floors while people were eating and the chemical smell was really strong.

Not great but I keep going back. I cannot find a good sushi place in Woodbridge. They also never bring sushi pizza when you order. They must do something about the cleanliness and food quality. I’m surprised they haven’t got shut down

Its good and affordable, usually i opt for the all you can eat option, and when you do your whole party needs to also opt for that option. Not a big deal to us.
They may put everyones orders together in same platter and that may create some confusion and sometimes they may miss someones order, but they’re pretty cool and will help you if you need assistance. The ladies are nice and respectful.

They didn't have a mixed tempura option in appetizers so I had to get vegetable only instead of vegetable + shrimp. The sushi tasted okay.

Great sushi freshly made and always busy. Busy means fresh and fresh means tasty. They have a great selection of Gourmet sushi.

I really don't like to write bad reviews but in this case if I could I woul give 0 star, we ordered the food and we couldn't finish to eat so we wanted to take home because of that they charge the same amount, like you paying almost double I asked if I leave so I have to pay again? They said yes in both case it is waste of food in both case you have to pay, this is really good way to make money for them and rip of customer I was so upset I don't check even my receip on the top of that they charged me one more extra meal which I didnt order, I was in the car when I saw that didn't bother to come back, so imagine I paid for extra 3 meals be careful when order take as much as you eat and check your receipt what you ordered they charge double extra, I don't understand why I have to pay for food if I didn't finish no matter if I decide take home or leave there? It is really not acceptable never coming back again

I liked the crab pizza! Except I wasn't sure if it was supposed to come cold or hot (it came cold). Must try the dynamite roll, it was phenomenal.

The food is great but since the price increase I stopped going I went here because of the price and great food for take out. Now it’s just not worth it.

Good location with plenty of parking. The price isn’t bad for all you can eat at dinner time. The service is okay, they focus more on seating and serving the food more. There is a discount if you pay in cash. Sushi was okay. They do have takeout too.

You get what you pay for. Terrible service. Food was ok at best. Asked for missing items that we ordered and never got them. Wouldn’t recommend. Wouldn’t go back.

Probably one of the better all you can eat sushi places in Woodbridge (north of Hwy 7, west of hwy400). Their sashimi is a little meh (salmon pieces are small and don't taste as fresh /firm as I've seen in other places), but the nice selection of "special rolls" makes up for it. It's usually relatively easy to find space without reservations. They don't have "iPad ordering" like some other places but I find the good old "fill out a sheet" method works just fine. Prices are comparable to other all you can eat sushi places.

*Food*: more items on the menu we're deep fried than there should've been. Spicy tuna roll had more batter than tuna roll. Crabmeat salad was soaked in mayo.
*Service*: Staff, while doing an ok job seem like they don't want to be there, or perhaps customer service is just not in their or the restaurant's nature.
Many times my "Thanks" (for bringing or taking away dishes) was simply ignored.
*Conclusion*: Not Japanese owned (do the math) therefore the focus is more on quantity vs quality, even for an AYCE.

The sushi is good but the service is not because is almost 3 times happened when we ordered they not service the same order and I ask and they answer is to much that your ordered I'm feeling so rude. They don't say sorry the ladies when is time for they launch their are punching to us go out. We don't feeling Happy sorry but some one have to took to them the you.

They have poor customer service. Found hair in my sushi roll yesterday! We refused the food and left. They offered as $3 discount for finding hair in our food! Disgusting!
