Nikhil was amazing he is so genuinely nice and funny. Very welcoming and knowledgeable made my friends birthday so much better definitely would come back just for him!

The nachos were awesome! And the choice of single tacos was kind of cool. Was a little spicy for me, but that's not on the restaurant:)

The tacos are really good, but the service is terrible so it's not worth the trouble. We got a table at 7: 15 ordered our food and a pitcher of margaritas - and never saw the server again. At 8: 45pm someone came by and I thought "great, we can finally order more food and another round of drinks" instead we were told we had to leave in 15 mins cause they needed the table. I know most restaurants have a seating limit, but I've never been to a restaurant and wasn't offered more food, drinks or dessert etc before handing me the bill. So if you're expecting a fun night out - this isn't the spot.

Blasting irritating trap at club level volume at 5pm. Couldn’t even hear the server. Asked repeatedly for music to be turned down which would last a couple minutes until it would be cranked again. Informed staff that one of our party has sensory issues, to which management rolled their eyes and walked away. Not impressed with the lack of compassion.

Food here is fantastic. Great for takeout but the restaurant itself is really nice to sit down at especially on the weekends. Good music and chill vibe.

Don’t know why the normies like this place. Service is slow (understaffed) food is overpriced even if it’s good & it isn’t at all. So bland, so pre-cooked, so lifeless. Place is packed though so won’t expect it to change any time soon.

Hear me out! The food is AMAZING but! If they could change one thing it would need to be the cheddar like cheese that they put on all of the food. It tastes really processed and dims the delicious food. Everything else is amazing!

Service is great! Everything comes out at a good time. The ambiance is gorgeous and love the music that they play

Charged for a drink, I never actually got. Need a refund for that. Terrible service, felt very bad by staff's treatment. Server was acting like I was bothering him and did not bring the cutlery or plates until I picked it up. Server did not even show me the bill just showed me how much on the machine, calculated when I got home, and found from the menu that they charged 15 dollars for a drink that was forgotten by them. I've been there many times, loved the food, but will never go again.

Horrendous parking. Some guys lingering outside restaurant telling people $50 to park here.

Lost it's luster. Tasty but overpriced for single tacos IMHO. Churros were a bit hard. Drink specials have stipulations so ask your server to define what's not included. With so many happy hours downtown, expected a bit more. Left hungry.

Update after 2 hours: diariaaaaaaa

The food was great, but the manager had horrible customer service and talked to my friend with a very bad attitude, she was very unprofessional and rude.

Came here with a group of 10 and although the food came very quickly, the service was incredibly disorganized. The waiter took orders individually not at once so a lot of people had to look for and call him back to TAKE ORDERS after half the party's food arrived already. He never came to check on the group so we constantly had to search him down. Because the orders were random, the food got mixed up a lot, can't complain really. We also weren't provided CUTERLY with the food and had to search down someone to bring it to us. Ive worked in the service industry and I know a group of 10 is overwhelming but this was genuinely bad. They automatically made us tip 18% for a large group but the service did NOT deserve it. The place is too loud and dark to talk to anyone indoors. Food was so good though, that's the stars.

I’ve always liked this La Carnita location because of the vibe indoors. I recommend their Carne Asada, Pollo Frito, and In Cod We Trust. Those are all taco options. The service is a hit or miss, but for a good experience, Nick is the one to provide it!

If you mess up your own line up system, you can’t blame it on the guests who were trying to line up and put their names down. The consequences of disorganized staff and poor systems shouldn’t fall on guests.

Delicious tacos and a nice patio! Staff was very friendly. Food came quick and it definitely met our expectations! Highly recommend the baja shrimp taco. All in all a great dining experience and place to grab a bite. Recommend if you are in the area to stop by! Nice bar setup with cool lighting and a great atmosphere.

I had an issue with a drink I ordered. It was $14! The drink had too much ice and was watered down. I asked to talk to the manager working today and she was rude and refused to fix the issue. WONT BE COMING BACK!

I enjoyed the tacos, the shrimp and carne asada were my favourites. The churros were amazing and the patio was nice too. Unfortunately, service was super slow.

Food was mediocre. But what really left a bad taste in my mouth was the lack of customer service. I had an issue and talked to the manager that was working today. She was so rude, had no sense of customer service and didn’t even try to resolve the issue. I will not be coming back because of her!

The food was great but the service was awful. I couldn't give them a bad tip as well because they automatically put an 18% tips.

The shrimp appetizer was super amazing! But the rest of the food quality at this location has gone down unfortunately. Looked better than it tasted.

Mandantory tips of 15% for 5 people and they put pressure for tips rince they forgot our pitcher all night long with many reminders! They said they were busy but others tables got theirs drinks before us.

Their tacos are extremely good and happy hour is a bonus with their service this establishment is almost top notch. The only reason for 4 stars is the menu gets repetitive, with no change or new taco of the week you kind of get used to eating the same tacos. Don’t get me wrong they still are delicious, it would just be nice to have a new weekly option. Their bartenders definitely don’t hold back on the alcohol and give you full servings unlike other establishments.

Food was incredible but front of house was erratic. Bev order of one beer bottle came later than the food.

All the other locations I’ve gone too was amazing but this location had the worst customer service, mainly from the manager that was working today! This location will no longer be receiving my service.

Visited on a Friday. Waited about 15-20mins to be seated on the patio. Friendly staff. Food was good. Ordered all 3 of the meat tacos and nachos with gauc. Will return.

Every single staff member was SO kind. The hostess, the bartender, and our server. I would love to come back here just because of their warm and welcoming personalities. Two small complaints - the tortilla chips were SUPER salty and the music volume can change as songs switch which is a bit weird. Otherwise, still recommend you visit!

Ordered taco kit on Uber Eats, get frozen and brown lettuce and NO taco shells. I won’t be supporting this place anymore.

Their specialty are the tacos, each between $4 and $6 (as of 09/2021). They have several choices for all tastes but be warned, they are hot which is kind of expected. However, they are not uniform. My wife and me ordered both the same chorizo taco and mine was good, with enough sauce to enjoy all the flavors together, but my wife's was awfully (spicy) hot, to the point that it ruined the rest of her meal.

I had lunch at this place for the first time and it didn’t disappoint.always looking for an authentic taco (no Tex-Mex), I found La Carnita offers a very decent version of them. I tried Achiote Chicken, full of authentic flavour, and Carne Asada. I loved it. To close, I tried churros and they were delicious!

They have a nice patio and the service was excellent.definitely coming back next time I visit Toronto’s Entertainment District

Food was good but slightly bland. Needs a kick. Location is good but the lady with the tattoos working their seemed to have an issue with us from when we came. She wasn't friendly and was terribly rude to us. She even rolled her eyes at us. Maybe she doesn't like colored people or kids or both.

For this reason we won't be back.

I ordered a wide selection of tacos but wasn't really to my taste. It was rather busy with a lot of customers so I guess I ordered the wrong options cause others seem to be enjoying their meals
