La Catrina Churros + Café Bar, ByWard Market, Ottawa

Tried the traditional churros, and they were fantastic. Nicely flavored cinnamon sugar, texture was spot on.

I tried the traditional churros from its food truck on November 5th, O’Connor street.
I was exited to see the food truck but dissatisfied with the churros. Inside was half raw and it didn’t go well with my stomach.
I will try on Rideau location later but for now, I must put 2 stars.

Bomb churros, got the filled chocolate and dulce de leche hot chocolate is also delicious

What a discovery! My son in law told me about this place downtown since we love churros, we wanted to try it out. So, for his birthday we ordered a Churros + 3 leches cake, one of the best cake ever and we got it delivered super fresh. Plus we ordered churros later. We got them all fresh. Super good food, pleasant & friendly owners & staff & timely delivery. Yummy! I dont' hesitate to recommend it. Go for it

Service was great, the person who served us was very patient and helped us (a big group) decide what we wanted. Great Latin music, loved the atmosphere!

Went here this evening after some fish tacos at El Camino. How perfect that La Catrina Churros were right next door for dessert! It was my first time and the lady was veryy sweet, greeting us as we walked in and out. My friend and I got the filled Churros, comes as pairs so perfect for sharing. Lots of choices but I got the Chocolate filled, and it was definitely loaded. I would highly recommended. The ambience inside was very nice, clean and chill music. I’m excited to come again ️

The owner is a fantastic man and though they are not the same as in México, it's the closest you'll get in Ottawa, which is worth it by all means. Amazing flavours and a very warm spot in the market, cozy and welcoming.

I ordered the s’mores churro and Horchata. I strongly recommend Horchata it’s my favorite drink when I was a child. I wish it could be more thick but the flavour was pretty good.

Had the hot chocolate and churros and they were both delicious. Lots of variety. Clean and colourful space. Love the mural.

I was so happy to see that they offer vegan churros with 2 vegan filling options.
Very delicious, freshly made to order churros.
The coffee was ok. The Mexican hot chocolate is delicious!
Note: alternative milk is an extra 1$ charge.
Very friendly staff and seating indoor and outdoor.

First time ordering from La Catrina & they completely exceeded my expectations. The employees are very kind, and respectful. I found their menu easy to navigate. I ordered a large size Tres Leches cake and they delivered it to me on time, and maintained communication with me via text throughout. I have to say: it was the BEST and most authentic tres leches I’ve had in a long time. It was a hit at the birthday party and I cannot wait to try more of their stuff. Thanks again!

C'est absolument nul.pas d'hygiene et manque de courtoisie chez le personnel (plus precisement le patron). Tasse de cafe ne meritant pas les 4$ dans une tasse metallique usée par le temps.tasse de chocolat chaud sans goût et debordant sur les bords.shame in you.

Churros are very good, prepared to order, thus expect a bit of a wait, but it is worth it! Either Traditional or Filled both are good! Sitting is limited and it gets busy, so may be you can plan to pick up one order + a cup of hot chocolate on your way home.
